I've been wanting one for work a long time but always been out of my budget. I've noticed in recent months that they have been available on eBay for reasonable prices. I know there is better technology out there but I am an old school night watchman and I have always liked this classic light. The light output is more than sufficient for my needs. I agree, I like this old school light as some would call it. It doesn't put out a 1000 lumens like the newer fancier models but it just works and is bright enough for my use.

If you drop in a cree XM-L T6 1-Mode 1000 Lumen LED Drop-in Module Flashlight Repair Parts Torch Replacement costs about 10.00 on Amazon.com now you have a 1000 lumen LED flashlight. The 6P to me is just a great base product that has so many ways to adapt it.

It is no longer produced but back in the day it was one of the brightest lights you could get. 65 lumens is still pretty bright. I still run a 6P as a weapon light (bought it cheap) and it does the job inside the home. Anything much brighter and I might blind myself if it hits a mirror or anything shiny. Not everyone needs a light bright enough to light up a whole field.
