Now that you have had it for a year, how's it working out for you? I have had two in that time and both broke along the outer spine and lost the springs. Surefire calls it "wear and tear" and won't warranty them...
wow I wasn't aware that this was a problem. I don't use this item every dat only about every weekend as I use this mainly for backpacking. So I have not had the problems you speak of yet. I wonder if there is a fix out there for it since over all it seems like a good product but not if it breaks?
The flashlight is the Surefire 6P Original. Surefire has updated this light but I prefer the older model you can check out my review here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-21IJIaER3C0.html the light itself is available on amazon for a pretty reasonable price.
Poor design. Good while it lasted. The thin metal piece inside the holster is not durable. Once that breaks, there is no longer any retention and your flashlight can slide right out. Waste of money since there's no warranty. Replaced it with a much better quality nylon sheath. Now I use the V70 in a different way by adding a piece of 3M double sided foam adhesive tape to the back then I stick it and use it as a nightstand polymer mount flashlight holder for my P2X Fury.
It finally happened to me two years or so of owning this flashlight holder with no problems. The metal spring came out. I looked around for another better design but I simply like this one so I will just buy another one. at least I will get another two years out of it.
