You can halibut off of any of the local beaches but the water is too cold right now, try closer to summer.

Yeah Long Beach is a good spot for halibut but it’s a lot harder to catch them during the colder weather

@@FishingWithJRome shiiiiit, of course right when I get super into fishing, the fish I’ve been targeting doesn’t wanna get caught lol. I’ll have to try again more in the summertime then. Fresh water’s been alright lately but surf fishing is way more fun imo.

@@caliraisedexotics Yes, you need a fishing license if you’re 16 or older.

The only place you do not need a license is any man made structure or piers.

If you fish a lot it’s worth spending the money and buy a year license. You are safe and don’t have to worry about getting a ticket.
