SURF FISHING Galveston for SPECKLED TROUT! (catch clean cook)

This was a quick Wade fishing trip down to the Galveston surf targeting speckled trout while using live croaker! The trout were thick on the beach, but unfortunately so were the sharks and hardheads! I ended up with a few to keep for lunch and made a simple catch clean and cook. Thanks for watching!

Great video! I love fishing in the surf. You never know what you might catch. Parmesan fish is always great also.

How do you avoid catching the hardhead catfish in the eye? I am using size #1 circle hooks (downsized for this reason), but still hooking them in the eye. I only do catch & release. Would really like to avoid this in the future. Great video!
