Has anyone actually seen the site or have they begun the permitting process? It seems like this is all a big rumor and they’re still in the phase of getting investors, probably a tall order these days.
I cannot wait for this to happen, I have my eyes on land surrounding that area. Might need a real estate agent, waiting for another year to go for it. So stoked, keep us updated on homes and land in that area please. A surfer neighborhood in Austin sounds like a dream.

Have they gotten the water permits from Creedmoor-Maha Water Corp for the connections? Let's hope they do. Sounds pretty exciting. I live in that area.
Surf lakes does not have the best wave tech. They have a long way to go from their first prototype in Australia. I’d take the Kelly Slater wave or Perfect Swell wave over the surf lakes tech any day of the week. Maybe this one will be better than the first one they built. Let’s hope it is.
The feedback I got from Kelly Slater wavepool is that it is more of a pushing wake, and that makes sense as the machine pushes you along to the end.... the type of wave for surflakes or even Waco Surf is that once created the wave naturally peels on its own which is more realistic than a pushed wake. the truth is ill take ANY of them here!
I think so. From what I hear the Nland technology, like the Kelly Slater is more of a wake surfing as you are at the speed of the push, this well be more of a natural wave, incredible technology! Cant wait!
Hey! I have a house in south Austin - we relocated here from Long Beach, CA a year ago. To say that I can identify with you is an understatement! We are dying for some waves and are also watching this closely. We were thinking about selling and moving to FL mostly to have the ocean back but at this point we might keep the Austin house to rent out when the park opens! Let's connect man! You’re in a prime spot if you want to be closer to surf lakes. Look this isn’t the same ‘vitamin sea’ of natural ocean salt water and sand, but if you’re a wave rider - this is GOALS.
