Surfed here once .summer of 1964? Anyway it was just after Surfer magazine told the world about it. It was six foot and fun with only a half dozen guys in the water

I paddled out around 10am, caught two sets right away then paddled to boneyards. Crowd was annoying as always, everywhere else was closed out.

seems like a lot of people just floating out there, super crowded but folks seem mellow at least and relatively good etiquette.

I used to live walking distance from Swami's, literally never paddled out there, because this ridiculous pack density is literally 365 days a year. I would usually hit the beach breaks north of here, mostly D street. Which, of course, has it's own steady crowd, but nothing as ludicrous as the Swami's pack.
