Wish we could see more of this kind of PC 2-1 format, that actually uses a fullsize keyboard, io and extended battery+hardware instead of these "cover-cases 2-1s" that are mostly available now. The slim upgrade with the high pricetag make it a tougher sell though. Anyway, sweet video as always, thanks :)

I know this is kind of old, but what you want is literally impossible... You can't make a 2-in-1 tablet with expandable memory and loads of I/O. It literally will not all fit in a tablet form factor. End of story. 🤷

This is a very cool device, I like that it gets a spec/battery boost when it docks. I think the clipboard side should have a kickstand and be able to use a floppy keyboard just like the surface pro. Also, I think they are missing a huge chance for other products like an even larger EGPU/dock for use in "desktop" mode or some such.

Book 2 have always been my dream machine, as a person with 360 convertible I find myself using tablet mode quite a bit, I do some heavy intensive gaming (while not caring enough to get a proper gaming machine), so GPU is a great thing to have, that aspect ratio and design. This seems like basically an upgraded version of what I want. Such a shame I'm as poor as I used to be, maybe I'll get a Book 4 when it comes out.

I am still using my Surface Book from 2016, love it still, the design feels fresh in part because they haven't changed it much. I don't have many issues with its transformation, but I do want a more powerful device. The SB3 might be the update I've been waiting for, I just need to justify it better...

Regarding the hinge after it gets old ? No complaints from me. My Surface book 1 that's 4 year's old is still trekking along fine, hinge included. Been waiting for the SB3 refresh. The machine is perfect for my use-case. Tethered studio shoot workflows, pop-off the clipboard, have the art-director critique things, mark things with the surface pen. Continue to shoot; then post-processing photo's using dodging & burning on frequency separation which means using the clipboard in reverse on the keyboard to retouch with the pressure sensitive pen.

I played world of warships on my SB2 when I had it. I sold it due to getting tired of the GPU disconnecting from having 7 units. It just got tiresome but I truly loved what it could do.

I may be upgrading my 13" SB2 with a new SB3. I have the core i5 version now and might step up to the core i7 with the discrete GPU. Went with the SB simply based on the detachable tablet. I don't have to put it away when I get on a plane and can use the tablet to start watching movies even before takeoff.

Mr. Mobile, if you're curious about phone integration on Windows 10, Dell's new XPS laptops come pre-installed with their phone connection software that is excellent. Still not at the same level as Apple's Mac integration with iOS, but damn is it impressive for windows and Android users

Can you do a review of the Lenovo Chromebook Duet? Similar concept but more on the budget side, with a lot of the same boxes checked. Also I'd love to hear your take on the Chromebook OS. Never had a device with it but I'm interested. 🙌🏼
