Early spring swell at The Wedge brings glassy conditions but it was a little tricky this morning! Raw footage of surfers, bodyboarders, bodysurfers, dolphins and kneeboarders attemping to find a clean exit! #surfing #wedge #raw
Lots of good meat today. But my favs are 1:05 freefall wave head-punch guy and 7:51 triple-skip over-the-nose guy. The Scottish Wolf Hound is a fine animal.
I love your guys work man I watch it from Colorado. But I visit Southern California for the last almost fifteen years I go there at least four weeks out of the year. Newport Beach and San Clemente are probably like my favorite spots Southern California trying to move their big time. But probably just go back to Ocean City Maryland. Play take care of thank you for the videos by.
When I was kid, I never (ever) saw surfers at the Wedge, and the prevailing wisdom had it as un-surfable....I sacrificed many fins, and some skin there. As shown in bmx, skating, etc., kids have gotten braver since the 70s'! 😃
this wave was always challenging to a bodysurfer, and now you have to deal with everybody else bringing all kinds of equipment into the water to bash you with. I wonder if that old bodysurfers only local ordinance is still in place for later in the day.
"A 1985 ordinance banned flotation devices from the Wedge at all times. Current rules prohibit flotation devices - surfboards, bodyboards, skimboards - to be used at the Wedge from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 1 through Oct."
Classic fun day at the Wedge. Still think surfers and knee boarder on hard boards with no leashes spoil place. It's a bodyboarding/skimboarding wave. Avagud1
