For anyone planning on surfing the place that reads this. Make sure you are paying attention to the currents because they get surprisingly strong on the south half of the beach and you will get pulled down toward the rocks on the south end if it happens to be a good size day. Surf the place in the 60's and 70's during the summer, since it faced south , the afternoon NW winds would turn to side shore/offshore and open up the lefts . totally uncrowded in those days , surfed it in the 21st century, totally packed. Had to park on the highway to walk in.
yeah this super localized cold water spot is really spoiled now thanks to this Oregon based news. Californias may flock for the great shifting sand banks in a 5mm suit haha
