back in the day we use to watch it and say not going in there . we use to surf the ledge and the spit on the southern side under the lighthouse . My bestie Herb's step dad Doug use to tip us off if he was on a shift at the light house about the waves .

It’s the mark of a local surfer to say he/she has ridden this wave. We would paddle from Stockton and ride it when it was on. It’s great to see it here on RU-vid.

With that breakwater right there, it looks a bit like a man made wave pool? Great footage, and really enjoyable to watch. This is where drones really come into their own!!

The wave itself is man made, locals dumped old cars, big slabs of metal and huge concrete blocks half way down the break wall because they could see the waves coming in but it wasn't shallow enough,

man that looks fun. I grew up in Newport Beach now living in Texas and craving some waves. Would love to get tossed over the falls at The Venice Break Water or washed into the jetty at Freight Trains...it's been so long since I got mashed by a wave. : )
