Surfing the Redondo Horseshoe Pier. By Greg Browning 

I remember Back in the 80's on Big North West Swells Night Surfing! You would takeoff from just the inside edge of the horse shoe. Those were the days! Nice promo vid thanks for the memories!

Used to body board this spot as a kid. Rides were short and at high tide you ride all the way up to the rocks at the parking garage. Rip fun factory.

I remember in the mid 70's someone caught a 14' hammerhead there.

In the mid 60's my buddies and I paddled from the Redondo breakwater on longboards to surf it. Not a good place to surf but we had nothing better to do so why not.

He wanted to arrest you for that mullet.

I jumped it 50 years ago. They said the old pier is under the water there.

There are signs at the Horseshow Pier location stating you can't swim or surf there. I don't know what the reasons are.

There are now videos of everything I did as a kid growing up and surfing in the South Bay. Well except jumping of the pier for no reason. That's just wack!
