Any Surge-alloy fueled turrets will have their bullet emit spark that can hit multiple enemy in a quite large radius, similiar to a exploding battery. This include Cyclone. Pair it with water tsunami, so even with only cyclone, you won't have problem with swarm.
Bad test, lots of turrets didnt get proper cooling, for example 1 scorch wih cryofluid does more damage than 2 scorch. Second, space usage wasnt unfair too. There was gaps in 2x2 turrets. Cyclone has 5 more tiles than a swarmer, also in a few tests other turrets helped cyclone. Swarmer beats cyclone in dps btw
Why did you use thorium on the spectre? Pyratite is the objectively better ammo. "Area damage" also applies to the target you're hitting, so 70 + 20 is better than 80.
