Lilliana was born with hemifacial microsomia, a condition in which one side of the face is underdeveloped. She and her family came to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) for care.
This video shares Lilliana's journey through surgery to build an ear on her right side, when she is five years old. She will require a series of surgeries to help fix an underdeveloped jaw when she is older.
Lilliana's team includes pediatric plastic surgeon Jordan Swanson, MD, Leanne Magee, PhD, a psychologist who specializes in children with facial differences, and the entire plastic surgery team at CHOP.
