Imagine all the hard work that has gone into this , exercise the horses , feed and groom them , make sure the tack is immaculate , their own uniforms as well , polished boots , cuirass , helmet ! They must have been up half the night ! Thanks Abdullah for filming for us 😗
Well John , I do know that thanks , but many people don't , they think they do ceremonial duty and nothing else while someone else does all the preparation ! Have a good day 😊
@@kathellison8084 "many"? Seriously? They think "someone else does all the preparation" for all the troops, not just the officers? I've got a pretty low opinion of most of those commenting on these fora, but even I doubt if any of them, let alone "many", are quite that uninformed.
I am from Buffalo, New York, USA. This is a most excellent site to see all those beautiful horses and guards, so well appointed and magnificent. There is NOTHING like this in the USA. No pageantry like the British are so good at. Wishing the troops well and keep the pageantry going forever, we need to see this.
Oñly in the UK could you see such a magnificent sight. Imteresting in the first group to see the Lifeguards and Blues and Royals in alternate rows. Seeing them in their ceremonial uniforms and riding so many black horses makes this unforgettable.
@@helenhallwood3580Well ... since you ask, France, India and Pakistan all have at least twice as many in their ceremonial cavalry, while plenty of others have a similar number.
@@helenhallwood3580 The French Republican Guard have long been considered the best in the world, particularly the Cadre Noir - we go on their courses as students, they only come on ours as instructors.
Absolutely stunning Abdullah. Thank you for this. The sound of unison, clippy clopping horse hooves, seems more therapeutic, than trickling water in a babbling brook, or raindrops on windows. Everyone looks SPLENDID and the day looks perfect.
Spectacular !! and some one is playing "walk on through the storm " over a loud speaker @ 10.30 ish as they are approaching Buck palace. . brilliant. LONG LIVE THE KING.
Abdullah this is incredible. I even heard a lady say "How many are there" This must be practice for Trooping the Color. They look spectacular as always. Y'all are very lucky to have a Royal family to bring in tourists to help y'all's economy. If I ever get the chance I will come over there and see y'all in heart beat. Y'all probably don't appreciate it. You should. Lots and lots of money coming in.
Saturday June 1st was the Major General's Review at Horse Guards Parade, which is the first of three official trooping of the colour events held in June at Horse Guards Parade Ground - culminating in the final one on June 15th which is the King's Birthday Parade which has the Royal Family, with the King, in attendance. They've been rehearsing the trooping of the colour parades for weeks. William, Prince of Wales, will be reviewing the next one, the Colonel's Review, on June 8th as he's Colonel.
LOL, bringing in the money is only the RF's secondary role, their primary function is "just being there" as a constant daily reminder to our politicians that their job is to serve us (the people) and NOT serve themselves.
@@heatherharvey3129 The Colonel of the Irish Guards is Katherine, Princess of Wales: it's the 2nd battalion IG that's doing the troop this year. Her stand-in at the Colonel's Review, June 08, will be Lt.Col. James Bucknall, KCB, CBE, the Colonel of the Coldstream Guards. He will be taking the salute in her place. (William, Prince of Wales is Colonel of the Welsh Guards.)
@@e.chambers2973 Apologies, I misread something about who was to be taking the salute on behalf of Katherine, who I know is the Colonel of the Irish Guards. I do hope her recovery is progressing well.
Not only the officers do their job, every guardsman and -woman , trooper, every member of the army in this section of the army doe their work, and most of all, the love to the horsies. (73 and a civil riding horsewoman)
Sorry but when the defence budget is so small and the army is on its knees do we need the bullshit or ammunition? Money spent on this we could have five SAS Regiments.
@@user-mk4xd6nt6f Not much point telling it to the Army - after all, they already know they're the worst recruited they've ever been, with the worst retention, and lowest morale. Not my opinion, but simple fact confirmed by Gov UK's quarterly defence statistics - like the detail on who owns the Crown Estates and their profits, readily available open source, even if you disagree 😂😂😂)
Yes, and the stables they live in, too! They have that clean up down to science! The little town I grew up in had an annual parade that all the local groups and businesses participated in. One of the highlights of childhood was to be in a group that marched in the parade and all it took was one unfortunate lineup to pray to be in front of the horses participating!💩🙀😹😹😹
From which aspect? The viewer or the horses? Your kind of comment makes me utterly despair. This is a spectacular, annual event which (normally) gives pleasures to thousands and isn't seen anywhere else. You are obviously not one of them. Switch off.
Do you say that to all the millionairs? At least the RF raises money for Charities that do help people. You would just get a Head of State that costs money. Perhaps check out Crown Estates and how money is given to the government.
You obviously lack understanding and knowledge on the subject. I hope you get the time to actually study the subject in full. Looking forward to you taking the red pill.
@wilkrag4953Dont you realize that the RF bring in tourist who spend money in Britain, upping the economy. Plus RF are helping the homeless, building accommodation, helping at the foodbanks etc.
@@helenhallwood3580 total waste of money ,,this country is skint yet we’re funding all this crap,,lose the privilege monarchy remove all their wealth they stole from the citizens. Down with the lot of them …BRITISH REPUBLIC ASAP.👍👍👍
