Progress on our traditional Portuguese house continues as we uncover a kitchen floor and fireplace under a tonne of dirt and broken tiles! We also spend some time clearing out our drainage ditch and visit our flooded river!
Renovations at our scrapyard-turned-homestead are slow, but every so often we'll have a day like this where we see big changes happen all at once.

Could you build a little lean to roof off the side of the building and over the caravan? Just enough to redirect the water when it rains?

We're very much looking forward to getting the roof on this place! The first project ill be the workshop though (you might have seen it in some other videos). It's a lot better condition and smaller, so it'll be easier to do the roof there first, move into the workshop, and then eventually be able to rebuild the house!

why dont you just putb up a ridge beam,and cover with tarpaulins,to start drying building

Hey there, thank you so much for the message! Do you mean for the main house? We'll start rebuilding the workshop as it is in a bit better condition, sadly it may take a while until we can get our hands on the main house.

It would def be the way to go! We want to get an engineer to check the walls and foundations before we do any word to it. Covering it up would help a lot for sure, we might just have to think about doing this. 🤔 Thank you so much for the suggestion! @@mechanics4all405 🥰
