Along the lines of "Would you get that bloody camera out of my face" I felt that and in a way it made me chuckle proves we are not the only ones who can claim to have personailty's. :)
Absolutely gorgeous creature-and funny, too. He has you cooing about how pretty he is, and then he clocks you in the noggin-for no apprent reason, just cuzz he can, haha. And don't you forget whose boss: he follows his nose, and you beter, too.
@toucanmama Sounds like real devotion on your part, to accept all the quirks and dangers of owning a Toucan. My Parrot Place contact told me that Toucans are also messy to clean up after, due to their fruit diet. Probably one of the most difficult birds to live with and care for. But certainly a very beautiful bird, and I'm sure that for you, it's been worth every moment.
@toucanmama That's an expensive diet! Not to mention the labor of preparing it all specially for the bird. But seeing the beautiful toucan, it's no surprise that all the effort is worth it.

oh man when he turns to the side... that stare.. and that beak that just goes on and on... he's so amazingly beautiful, but I feel intimidated by him also.
@toucanmama My cockatiel does the same thing (co-dependant), only he tweets when I go out of sight. Spends most of his time on my shoulders and arms. Typing with a bird on your forarm is a cumbersome process! FL is the right climate for the Toucan. Great that you can grow some of the food for him!
@toucanmama Is this the only video you have of your toucan? I would love to see more! I've been doing a lot of research at Emerald Forest Bird Garden and I genuinely want a toucan. (probably a Chestnut-mandibled toucan.) I'm saving up for a cage right now. It'll probably be a few years until I can afford one, but I'm sure it's worth it, right? :)

Try not to buy toucans, it can seem cool at first. But, they are not domesticated and most end up dead at the hands of clueless owners or they get snatched and end up in the illegal pet trade. They’re also not the friendliest birds, and they can be very aggressive at certain times
@spl0uf i'm brasiliam. the pigeons is plague in the plantations, but the tucans are disappearing of forests. Many baby animals die during a trip made by smugglers.If your pet does not come from traffic, It's all right
