Hey Eyebahn, i commented on your first Klima video a few weeks ago. Since then i have put 300 miles on my Klima. First thing I noticed is it looks like weight plays a big factor in top speed. At 150 lbs fully geared i can easily reach the advertised 42 mph top speed with up to 75ish% battery. 2nd it's incredible how you're able to manage X mode so easily, being a Burn-e rider it's obvious it has become second nature for you! I'm still not at the point to where i have it on X mode all the time. I had the brake sensor issue, didn't mention it in your video. This has affected most Klima owners (according to the Facebook group) free new brake sensors were sent to me tho! I haven't done a full dedicated range test. But i have gotten 40 miles with 45% left!!! The tires are indeed decent, however I'm surprised you didn't comment on the very bad vibrations above 38 mph. Balancing tires would definitely help tho. Overall the Klima has been incredible to me. All categories exceed my expectations.

Hey Alex, thanks for chiming in and welcome back! I'm pinning this comment to the top because I wan't people to see what you're running into as an owner of the Klima. You're absolutely correct. Rider weight can really affect performance and range, so I wanted to make sure that I stated I was over 200lb with gear and all my work stuff in my backpack. Thanks man! It took some time for me to adjust to the thumb throttle again and torquiness of the Klima on the low end. I'm not sure if you noticed but I was rocking quite a bit trying to find that proper riding posture while getting used to the throttle again lol. Thanks for mentioning the brake sensor thing. I didn't run into the issue during my ride but I'm glad to see that there's already a fix on the way! I noticed the brake going off when I got home but I just assumed that was because of the placement of the throttle next to the brakeline. My Burn E did this a few times back then because the magnet from the throttle would set off the electronic brakes because of the proximity of it to the brake lever. However, I stopped having the issue once I changed the position of my brake levers. Woowwwww.... thats amazing mileage your getting out of it. I'm so jealous lol I didn't get any vibrations from the Klima at highspeed. Thats why I mentioned I wasn't sure what folks were talking about in the forums and I was basically at 40 for most of the ride up the West Side. I'm actually thoroughly impressed by how good those stock tires are. I basically was ready to throw out the stock CST off my burn e as soon as I got it lol. I made the change to PMT after 300 miles just incase it was a "problem with me not getting used to the scooter yet lol" I'm glad to hear that! As a person whose now had a BurnE for 2200+ miles and 18 months, I'm stoked to see that new owners are enjoying it as much as me. Again, I appreciate that you took the time to type all this info out. It'll be really helpful to all the perspective owners!
@TheOGSnarf
@TheOGSnarf Год назад
Yeah I also experienced this brake sensor issue, but thankfully in my case it was a 5 minute fix and there haven't been any further issues since. I also noticed Michael Sha released a video on this very issue today, so at least Nami is indeed aware of this now. Ride safe!!
@eyebahnrides
@eyebahnrides Год назад
@@TheOGSnarf good to know! When I had an issue with my Burn E, all I did was give the throttle and brake lever more space and it never happened again. I’m not sure if it’s the same issue but glad it was easy. Let me know when you go on one of those epic long rides man! 👊🏼

my first crash on my Apollo Phantom came after a great ride through a forest trail, bombing down downhills at 50 MPH, while I was going 20 MPH on a regular street and didn't see the pothole that swallowed up my front tire. Instantly flung forward horizontally, landing face-first so hard it popped the visor off my Bell full-face helmet. Walked away with minor bruises and scrapes, the helmet tanked the fall 100%. I'll never EVER ride without my full face helmet!

Thanks thanks for watching the video and welcome to the channel! Damn... what a crazy way to end a great day. I'm glad you were wearing your gear. How long ago was your accident?
@TheDeekins
@TheDeekins Год назад
@@eyebahnrides 'bout 9 months ago, I had to replace the display and one of the brakes (rear brake still threw, but about half as strong/needed to pump it) but I was able to ride it home. I actually had a much worse crash on one of those Lime scooters years ago because, shocker, no helmet. Pads and armor are a great idea, but gloves and full-face helmet are mandatory, every ride, every time 🫡
@eyebahnrides
@eyebahnrides Год назад
@@TheDeekins Sounds like the usual accidents on a Lime Scooter! I'm glad that you came out of both accidents. Yup! I might actually be getting a standard helmet for my esk8 board because the full face seems a bit overkill. So that'll be my first non full face since I started riding PEVs
@Wreevesjr
@Wreevesjr 5 месяцев назад
Same happened to me on my Apollo Phantom. Hit a pot hole in downtown SF at 30 mph, face planted, skidded at least 10 feet. Full face helmet saved my face,... split lip, tore chunk out of my pinky, and a torn labrum. This was 1.75 years ago, still dealing with the shoulder, all else healed. I was wearing gloves that didn't stand up. I improved gloves and helmets since then. Also changed my ride style. Great lesson learned and am glad it was not worse.

Hey Anthony, thanks for watching the video and welcome to the channel! I appreciate your kind word and I'm glad you're enjoying the content. There's plenty of "NYC Hooligan Riding" videos out there, so I really wanted to show that we're not all wheelie popping law breaking psychopaths trying to kill people lol. The videos are meant to showcase the city and how aggressive we have to ride in order to survive the commute through the streets of NYC. I used to live in Silver Spring, MD and I would ride my fixed gear bike to my office in Georgetown. Riding on those main roads can be terrifying in their own right because of how fast the DMV folks ride on the side streets lol. Despite all that craziness, it was actually faster most of the time to ride my bike than it was to take my chances on the 495😭.

To answer your other question as to why I don't just take the QB bridge. Its for a few reasons. Sometimes I like to leave a little earlier and take a long ride to clear my mind before work (especially if i Know its going to be a stressful day). Even on days when I'm not recording, I may take the longer route just to have a little bit of fun before work. However, if I'm running late or just don't want to ride, I'll take the QB Bridge. It's only a 15 min ride to my job so it also makes for more interesting ride footage for these longer videos lol.

thanks for watching this one as well and welcome back to the comments section! hahahaha that's a heck of a way to get introduced to the BE2. Especially as a first timer, that acceleration can be quite brutal. I'm happy you get to experience it though because there are people that don't believe me when I say these things are high powered vehicles that should be respected. The first hit of Xmode when you're not prepared will show that hahaha. Over time you'll find yourself being able to stay in that Xmode all the time just so you have that power on tap to help you get out of sticky situations. With my new scooter, I actually turned "C" mode into "Commute Mode" where the acceleration is dialed back a little. Throttle control is not quite as smooth as the Burn E that I had.

Interestingly enough, I started with a Xiaomi but my hands and feet felt like they were going numb from the vibrations/ potholes and it died on me on the way to work! I live in Southeast Queens, so I'd need to ride up to Sunnyside for your routes into Manhattan. The Greenways are such a mess as they're not very direct to the bridge crossings for all sections of each borough. It's as though the Greenways are an afterthought. Anyway, thanks for your rides and views. I get a chance to see parts of the city that I've never seen before as I always stick to certain shorter routes with no exploring. Thanks for recommending me to Chuck btw, his service and knowledge really top notch! It’s incomparable to what I have ridden so far. However, I must mention that the size of it wasn’t that big in your videos. Seeing it in person really blow me away. It’s not big, but gigantic compare to klima😬 I guess the battery play a major part. I really love the speed and suspension but, the screen and throttle tho……. what a bummer😐 did not expect it to be that bad. It feels like it will take me sometimes to get used to it since I got used to the thumb throttle. Also, I see why you did an upgrade on the infor screen.
@eyebahnrides

@@kwkKelvin yup Chuck is the man and so is Ed over there! Yup, the Burn E is massive lol but it’s worth it if you have space. Once you get on the Klima you’ll really get to experience the difference in the two. The original display was fine for its time but at the end of the day the new display is worth the upgrade. The thumb throttle is fine, I’m used to it because I’ve had it before. However, upgrading it to the throttle I use now was totally worth it. The throttle I use gives you finer control over the power so it takes some getting used to. However, it’s hard to use anything else once you’re used to it. Both are amazing scooters that you’ll grow to love because it’s a lot of fun to ride and you get that “omg” feeling every time you’re on it

Hey Ronak, thanks for watching the video and welcome to the channel! I'm glad you're enjoying the videos because its alot of fun to make. Commuting in NYC is such a tedious and sometimes monotonous chore, so I thought I'd try to liven things up by making these lol. Congrats on the move. TBH, I'd rather ride than take the ferry and be subject to all the delays that are involved with it and the Subway system. I ride in from Woodside to Midtown Manhattan and that's about 5 miles. Door to Door, it only takes me 15-20 minutes on my scooter or ebike. The whole scooter vs. ebike thing is a matter of preference. If you're looking for value for size and something that has a smaller footprint, the scooter makes for a better option. If you don't really care about that and want to be seated, the ebike makes for a better option. My suggestion would be stop by FluidFreeRide in BK and try out riding a scooter. When your done, go to LastMile NYC in West Village and try out their demo ebike. From there go with the one you prefer. Just keep in mind, IP rating (water resistance) is very important in the city so always ask for it. I hope this helps and good luck with your search! I appreciate you binging the videos!

@eyebahnrides
@eyebahnrides 11 месяцев назад
Thanks for watching the video and welcome to the channel @geosal7252 ! I'm glad you enjoy my style of videos, I appreciate ya! My setup is actually fairly simple. It's a combination of the Purple Panda Lavalier Microphone, positioning in the helmet, and control of the audio level on the camera. The PP mic is plugged directly into the camera using a Insta360 microphone mod. The mic is then positioned in different places depending on the helmet (Icon Airflite, POC Coron MTB, or TSG Pass Pro). The position has to be changed per helmet because you'll capture too much "breathing sounds" if its too close to your mouth or its not clear if its too far away. Now depending on the helmet, the Gain has to be raised or lowered. If you watch my older videos, it was a struggle to get that clear "vlogging" sound quality. It took a few months to get it down to where it is today! During the editing process, I don't do any "vocal enhancements". However, I will make constant adjustments volume to make sure it's a comfortable listening experience through the speakers and headphones. I hope this answers your question!

G'day Ivan mate just a quick one. In your final thoughts you mention a possible total of 40 miles of hard City riding. Reason I ask I am seriously considering a Klima Max all thanks to your content relating to Nami Klima. I'll be upgrading from my Apollo City Pro as I am now a confident rider after 2 years of scooter riding. you're absolutely correct. Range increases in the warmer months and range/ performance decreases in the colder months. This was the base model Klima so it performed really well for having the "generic no name" cells. With the Klima Max, I'm able to get around 40 miles of hard city riding. Just note that temperature, tire pressure, rider weight, wind, and road conditions all affect the range. I think it's a great intermediate to advanced scooter. Like I mention in alot of my videos, this scooter is confidence inspiring and could lead to some riding at speeds above their skill level. So take your time and really get to know the scooter.

However, both are quite nimble and have a very similar ride feel because of the 10 inch tires and lighter weight. I hope this helps but keep in mind I’m comparing the initial V2 to a Klima. I don’t have experience with the new Phantom which may have closed the gap with the Klima.

Hello, thank you very much for your videos, they are great! I live in the city in Lyon, France and I hesitate between two scooters: the burn-e E2 28ah and the Klima max. Which one would you advise me? Is there a lot of power difference between the two?

@eyebahnrides Год назад
Hello and thank you for watching my videos, I appreciate the support! One of the accounts that I follow on IG shows that there's a growing EScotoer community in Lyon, have you ever ridden with the groups out there? As for Burn E2 vs Klima Max, in my opinion, they perform very similarly. The biggest difference is in the ride comfort. As good as the Klima's suspension is, it's no match for the Burn E2's smooth ride. It's probably a combination of the larger tires, heavier weight, and suspension travel on the BurnE2 that helps really take that ride to the next level. When I tried the Burn E2 I was able to achieve 40+ MPH more and the power delivery is a bit smoother on the 72v system. The wider deck of the Burn E also allows for more options when it comes to ride stances so it can be more comfortable on long rides because you can easily change stances at speed. Performance wise, they feel very close. If you have the space and want the 72v system with the smoother ride go with the Burn E2. If your space is limited, the Klima Max delivers amazing performance and ride comfort for its size. Both scooters are great, it just comes down to the individuals preference and use case. I hope this helps!

Its gonna sound crazy but going in and out of building entrances, elevators, bodegas, supermarkets, and other stores is definitely an influential factor. Its part of the convenience package of owning an escooter. Hows that experience with the Burn E? Have you rolled it through the cash register isle at a supermarket 😅? The klima is marginally smaller but that handle bar is just as long across! 27 inches! I need to decide between the two for my upgrade but completely giving up the practicality of taking my NIU kqi3 Max everywhere is a major bummer...
@eyebahnrides
@eyebahnrides Год назад
Thanks for watching the video and welcome to the channel! LOL it's definitely more of a factor than people think because I sure as hell don't trust NYC to chain my scooter outside and break line of sight for more than 10 seconds. I've brought the Burn-E into Duane Reade, Rite Aid, once at the Apple Store in the Mall and once at the Supermarket and people were like WTFFFFF IS THAATTTT.... Sometimes the Security Guards will offer to watch it while I leave it at the front with them. Luckily I have the RFID upgrade so I can lock the scooter and leave it off to the side of the entrance with security. You're right, the Klima is marginally smaller but the form factor still makes it easier to get around in those type of environments. Regardless of which you choose, you're definitely not going to be able to take it with you everywhere. If space is generally an issue and you got to constantly bring it into tight spaces, I'd go Klima. However, if you always have storage go Burn E.

Thanks for watching and welcome to the channel. I appreciate your concerns. In NYC we tend to observe “Stop as Yield” aka the Idaho Stop Law. Even before those were made official, it’s always been something we’ve done in NYC (I’ve commuted on every possible form of transportation over the last 3 decades and it’s pretty much been this way. The only exception is when I’m driving). There are general unspoken rules of the roads that pedestrians and personal vehicles follow. There are times even police officers will get irritated that they had to flag you through instead of yielding and rolling through. By all means, this doesn’t mean be reckless and blast through a busy intersection at full clip without slowing down. Common sense must also be exercised with this kind of “unspoken system” in NYC. I hope this helps explain things a bit

Hello everyone! I apologize in advance for my English (and my AI assistant's English), but I would like to hear feedback from real owners of the Nami Klima scooter after 5-10 thousand miles of use. When I watch the English segment of RU-vid, all scooters priced over $2000 are described as wonderful and excellent, the main thing is to follow the link in the video description (although the reviewer hasn't even ridden it for 100 miles). When I switch to the Russian segment of RU-vid, it turns out that the scooter is, of course, wonderful, but after 1000 miles, both the suspension and the engines were replaced. Therefore, I would like to hear real feedback from real owners after a certain period of time, rather than endless and meaningless advertising.

thanks for watching the video. That's why I call these videos " First impressions videos" and I always mention that these are my initial thoughts on a scooter and aren't representative of long term ownership. If you're interested in a 100 mile ownership review of the Nami Klima Max, I have a video on the channel for that. In the next couple of weeks, I'll also be doing an "updated 750 mile review" so keep an eye out for that. Unless I abuse the scooter, I don't see how it could fail at 1000 miles. Just like you're weary of reviews that are too positive, I would also be careful with reviews that are talking about breaking a scooter in 1000 miles. At that point, I would question what type of abuse the owner subjected the scooter through to break something that can be ridden for thousands and thousands of miles (I've seen Namis with 20,000+ km in the forums). I hope this helps you withy our search

What would you recommend as a scooter that has a good range, can ride in the rain, off road once in a while, reliable, comfortable ride, and easy to work on and find parts? @eyebahnrides
@eyebahnrides Год назад
Hey Shane, thanks for watching the video and welcome to the channel. I just want to be upfront that I haven't ridden the Blast yet because we're still waiting for them to be delivered to the US market. With that said, I'm pretty confident in saying that the Blast is the one that you probably avoid of you're looking to do light off roading. Based on what I've read and seen, the inverted front swing arm for the blast is amazing for highspeed ride stability, however, it doesn't give it that "bounce/ give" that you need for offroading. Now the Klima and the Burn E2 will give you great range, is IP rated for use in "light rain" & wet roads, are comfortable rides, and are relatively easy to find parts for. The difference will come down to if you're willing to pay more for that premium ride of the E2 and if you have the space for it in your home. If you aren't worried about saving space, go for the Burn E2. I had a chance to spend some time with it in this video ( ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Wjh2dWO3LQY.html ) and I gave my thoughts on it there. Just pardon the quality of the video because that was very early in the channel and I was still working out my setup! As for parts, you can generally get them from FluidFreeRide. However, you can actually order the parts directly from Michael Sha (owner/ founder of Nami) if they can't get you the parts you're looking for. He's really easy to get in touch with through the FB Nami group. As for easy to work on, I'm not sure lol. I'm not a very handy person so I rely on local mechanics. Local bikeshops can help you bleed the brakes, change the brakepads, and do basic installations, but I don't think they'll be able to do any major work. If you're pretty handy, Michael Sha has instructional videos on how to do the work on youtube and the Nami experts (retailers & shops across the world) are also very responsive on the youtube groups. Just note that it is a forum, so you gotta filter through the trolls lol. Since you're a taller guy, I also assume that you'll enjoy the taller handlebars of the E2 and the wider deck! So my vote for you would be E2. Disclaimer though! This is just my opinion based on my experience with the scooters and you should buy what you think is right for you after doing some research. By the way, the Rider Guide and Ride and Glide channels make more comprehensive review videos if you want to check them out! I hope this helps!

Hi Skander thanks for watching the video and welcome to the channel. The speed limit in the US depends on the roads that you're on. It can be anywhere between 5mph to 65mph in New York. However, scooters are not allowed to be on the highways so we generally just go with the flow of traffic

Hi Scott, I mention it in the Final Thoughts section here ( ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-kPP0DZRMJA0.html ) that it's the 25ah. So great range for the "base model Klima".

@@eyebahnrides I don’t think you really need anymore. Plus 30 will only add weight.

Be careful man. I wouldn't recommend riding almost 40mph that close to a dog walker. I'd even slow down if I was in the middle of the street and a dog was on the sidewalk. You even passed one quickly that was off leash. Also, I'm sure your blood was pumping after the white car swerved into the bike lane. Just a few blocks later, you passed a car on the left that had its left turn signal on. I'm not trying to point fingers. I had the white car thing happen to me twice and the second time I hit the car with my shoulder and bounced off uninjured. So I changed my route home from work. More recently, a bicycle going the wrong way, flew around a blind corner I slow down for and flew over the handlebars because my brakes are way too grippy. I only had a minor broken elbow. But it was my dominant arm so everything was a pain for a month. (putting on shoes, clothes; eating with a fork...) So just be careful :)

Hi James, thanks for watching the video! I appreciate you taking the time to write that. I'll keep that in mind. I completely understand, I was actually doored by a cab in the bikelane on my EUC last year. Thanks to my armored jacket and full faced helmet, I only had a metacarpal fracture! The crazy thing is I'm way more conservative now than I used to be when I used to fly around the city on my fixed gear bike as a part time messenger! I wish I recorded those rides back then because I'm having a heart attack just thinking back on some of those rides/ near misses! Howe are you recovering by the way?
@jamesf2811
@jamesf2811 Год назад
@@eyebahnrides -The weirdest recovery in my life! Have you heard of the law of halves? Basically each day or so I got 50% better. So it gets really frustrating when you are 90% healed because each new day I can do something I couldn't before, only to find 2 more things that aren't right. I can tie my shoes now. I can sign things now. I can rub my eyes. I can put weight and push off with that arm now. So everything is practically normal but my left pinky is sore when I bend it a certain way. -Long story short, I am fine after 3 months. But I was 75% fine after 3 weeks. -Funny thing related to your cab doored incident. I had a near miss from someone just randomly stick their arm out the window of a parked car. It wasn't intentional. But it just reinforced my practice to hug the bike lane on the side away from parked cars. -I also had an incident with a dog walker where the dog lurched and barked just as I passed. She giggled and I thought to myself "does she realize that even if she doesn't give a crap about me, if the dog gets entangled, it'd become paste in short order." -Anyways, I don't want to spoil your joy. Because e-scooters are an incredible experience.

Hey Darko, thanks for watching the video and welcome back to the channel! I could imagine Dublin being pretty harsh on scooters. I've been told that the roads are quite bumpy and it rains quite a bit there, is that true? Also, what type of upgrades would you be doing to the E2Max? I'm curious because I might have my mechanic do the same lol. I think you're absolutely correct. In big congested cities, micro mobility is the best way to get around. It's definitely the most fun!

Ooo my man I have in the head milion visions for upgrading...first rear view camera, proper signal lights blinkers...then rubber mat on the deck, front part and on the back front of the wheel (and back) also put rubber that water from wheels not hitting in the deck, cables...better mud guards will be try to find motorcycle parts....then also thinking about light plastic shield on the front, bullet shaped like on the mopeds have less wind resistance and of course GPS tracker...

@@darkozivko7683 those mods sound like they're going to be 🔥! I've tried the rear view cameras and the rubber deck before I started the channel and realized its not for me. It looked really good but I liked the feel of the grip tape over the rubber and I felt the rear camera was a bit distracting while riding. But those types of mods are always personal preference. I heard that Michael Sha is developing proper turn signals for us. I can't wait to see those!
