New to the Who? This isn't a bad one to start with. They are a band with one of the deepest wells of great and often meaningful songs. This was from their last album drummer Keith Moon "The Loon" before his passing. He's a totally unique drummer in rock history.
The Who are one of the most talented bands ever. They are somewhat overshadowed by Led Zeppelin, the Beatles, Pink Floyd etc, but really they are right there as far as musical skill and hit songs. All 4 band members are all stars. You could really go down the rabbit hole with them. You'll love the songs Baba O'Reilly, Won't Get Fooled Again, Squeeze Box and A Quick One While She's Away, among others. Happy Birthday and a great reaction as always.
We lost "The Loon" just before this album was released. R.I.P. Keith. The greatest drummer of all time. Great reaction...just a great rock n roll song! Happy is the right word.
@@dickcnormis1444 I respect anyone who has moon and Bonham as their top two drummers, regardless of order. Kenny Jones and Stuart Copeland float in my top 5 as well.
Pete Townsend wrote this song after a night of drinking. He saw a little know punk band called the Sex Pistols playing a song by The Who, a song Townsend wrote. He was drunkenly yelling 'Who are you?' and went to the studio and wrote this song the next day.
I love your reaction videos and you are just so cute. Always wanted a granddaughter ( :>) However, I cannot believe you have not reacted to Dimash yet. He is absolutely AMAZING. Please, if you do, start with S.O.S., Love Is Like A Dream, Your Love, and Sinful Passion. I promise you will be "De-mashified" and a true "Dear." Oh, and you must listen to "Ikanaide" which he sings in Japanese live streamed during the Tokyo Jazz Festival and Unforgettable Day. He is from Kazakhstan and sings in 10-12 languages. His voice is mesmerizing. I cannot wait to see your reactions.
As great as their songs are, their live performances are legendary. Definitely worth checking out a few live songs. "Love Reign O'er Me" is my favorite and "Baba O'Reilly" is another classic.
The quality and volume of beautiful music this band has produced rivals any act in music.. I got to see them in 1983 in St. Louis Missouri, Keith Moon, the original drummer had passed away, Kenny Jones had joined the band by then. The more you listen to them the deeper you’ll want to dig into their music.
Keith Moon was a singularly amazing drummer, Pete Townshend is an amazing songwriter with a very distinctive guitar voice, John Entwhistle was and all-around amazing musician and an impresario on the bass. Roger Daltery has one of the greatest voices in rock music. They were amazing in their prime and this is one of the best songs. I don't know how anyone could not like this. The part of the song where you were describing the drum sound, Keith Moon was playing with soft mallets instead of sticks, primarily on the toms. That's how he got that deeper, softer, more resonant sound. Good ear!
This is classic rock at it's finest. You have bands that are good, bands that are great, and a very few bands that are the gods of rock. The Who is in the third category.
There is something about watching someone taking in something new for the first time you have enjoyed all your life and watch the joy in their face. Priceless!
I so love watching these! It reminds me of the first time when I heard these songs. It is great to see someone so young being open to checking out these different genres and eras of music.
🎉Happy Birthday MO.❤ Your reaction gave me a great gift of happiness due to your infectious self. ❤Thank You.❤ Many, many more great The Who songs for you to enjoy. Peace/JT
Hello beautiful baby girl. WHO ARE YOU also the title of there album. By the way the last album where Keith Moon (The drummer of the band) played before he died on 07-09-1978. Love you much ❤️❤️❤️❤️. Happy Birthday 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉❤️❤️❤️❤️
The WHO left to right from the album cover: Blonde Vocalist Roger Daltry, Blue Jean clad Bassist John Entwistle (RIP), Riding Hat wearing Drummer Extraordinaire Keith Moon (RIP) and Necktie wearing Composer and Guitarist Pete Townshend. One of the greatest BANDS to ever walk the earth. "Who Are You" is one of their trademark songs, along with "My Generation", "Won't Get Fooled Again" and "A Quick One While He's Away". There are many, many more. You need to see live footage of these men to truly appreciate them.
Happy Birthday! I saw them live with Robert Plant from Led Zeppelin as their opener. I was pleasantly pleased with how well The Who performed. Great concert.
Hey Mo! It's John from San Diego california, I'm so glad you love one of my favorite songs it's been such a good song my entire life and your reaction was awesome! Have a beautiful day!
Great song, great band. Not sure when you grew up but the 70s and 80s that you are listening to is the best rock n roll music around. I so enjoy your reactions, it's all in your eyes, just beautiful.
Please listen to more of The Who, you won’t be disappointed! BTW, notice that there is no question mark on “Who Are You.” The writer, Pete Townshend has often talked and written about the relationship between a band and their fans. Neither could exist without the other, hence Who are YOU!
This one was a good one! So, glad that you listened to it. The Who has so many creations to offer. Each member offers their own magic. They are a incredible group that carried with them genius & severe talent. Happy Birthday, to you...celebrate yourself & enjoy it!
It's my favourite BIRTHDAY girl! 💝🎂💝 Loving your look also! 👏💯 When i saw the title of the video, I knew you would so enjoy the song and be moving around to it! 💃🏿 It's always wonderful to see your beautiful smile and infectious energy - never fails to brighten up my day! 😊 The Who are such an iconic band. They have lots of other great songs also - "Won't get fooled again" & "Baba O Reily" to name but two. (I think in the middle when you thought they were bass drums, they may be timpani which are big drums normally used in an orchestra). Have a great birthday Mo! Lots of love 😘😘
Keith Moon, the drummer, died three weeks after the Who Are You album was released. Coincidentally, the album cover pictured the band standing back stage on top of piles of various stage equipment, with Moon sitting in a folding chair with the message "Not To Be Taken Away" stenciled in white on the back.
Hi Mo, I hope you had a great birthday. I recently re-discovered a brilliant video of a band called Sky and a piece of music called Tocata and Fugue which I believe you will love, It really is something very different!
Hi, Mo. I knew you would like this song. It was also the theme for the original CSI: Crime Scene Investigation TV series and carried over for the other spin-offs CSI: Vegas etc. You looked like you had a wonderful time listening and rocking along to the music. I enjoyed watching another of your honest reaction videos. Thanks for sharing 👍🏽 ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ Edited for spelling.
It was probably because of CSI that some people are more familiar with the song. Lead singer Roger Daltrey actually once made a guest appearance in an episode.
Positive energy for this rhythm, it is not easy to stand still for this positive energy, your reaction to this song has brought out your best smile transmitting emotion, thank you !😁🌹🇮🇹👍🏻
Hello from Massachusetts in America! I haven’t seen one of your videos in a little while and I forgot how fun you are when you do reactions…I had a big smile on my face through the whole video! The look on your face when the synthesizer started to play at the beginning was priceless. 😆 I’ve loved The Who since I was a kid and this is one of my favorite songs from them. I love how different each part is, with a heavier rock sound on the verses and melodic choruses and then the interlude in the middle which sounds almost symphonic. Have a great day and Rock On! (BTW, I forgot to mention that you look beautiful today…as usual!)
Happy Birthday Mo! Very interesting reaction because it seemed to overtake you like waves on the shore. One of their classic songs that has become an anthem for so many is “Won’t Get Fooled Again.” I think you will like it.
Glad you loved this. For me it's all about The Beatles but The Who are certainly in my top 10 bands and like others have said they are incredible live. There are two other versions of this I urge you to watch (even if in your own time). One would be them creating this song in the studio which shows the energy of the band. The other would be The Who performing it at tribute concert in New York post 9/11. The drummer Keith Moon had passed away in 1980 but for the concert they used Zak Starkey who did a good job (his father is Ringo from The Beatles). React to another song from The Who, I think you'll like it.
Happy Birthday Baby Girl! Loved your beautiful smile. It makes my day to see you dance sing and get into your music reactions, keep being yourself. You might want to check out 'Won't Get Fooled Again' Behind Blue Eyes' Pinball Wizard just to name a few. Have a blessed and wonderful birthday Birthday Girl. Love you, bless you!😍
Little bit late , Happy Birthday ! I’m now in Greece and the Wifi is so bad that I ‘m a few days later ! I Love You’re Beautiful reaction on this song from The Who ! Love from Me out of Greece , Love from Holland ! 🙋🏼♂️🫶💋💐👏🇬🇷🇳🇱
