Hammy needs a bigger cage. Even though hamsters are small they still need space to roam around and enjoy their little two year life span haha. For my hamster I got a 100 gallon glass tank.. it doesn't need to be this big at all around 50 gallons would be awesome. Also buying hammy some toys would keep him occupied, changing the toys up can also keep him entertained and excited to try new things out. Like so Brian can see:)

Are you kidding hammy does not need a 100 gallon one there is a few little tunnels for him to climb in and they are putting him in his little plastic ball to run around. Rug takes very good care of his animals (yes Bosley may be a little fat but that is not the point) petco probably knows way more about animals then you and they wouldn't sell it if they knew. (Sorry for my English) but petco just says that so then you would buy the biggest cage and end up spending lots of money. Rugs hampster Before hammy lived a long happy and healthy life in his tiny little cage:)

Vlogger Fan They don't need a 100 gallon although the absolute minimum is a 20 gallon long tank. Which in itself is still way bigger than the cage he has. Also Petco and Petsmart employees are not required to know anything about the animals sold on the store simply because you work there does not mean you're knowledgeable. Adding on hamsters don't appreciate tubes as much as let's say a rat right. Although they are good for them simply adding some tubes for them to go through will not insure they are happy. And also an animal can live but that doesn't mean it's happy I can say for a fact that hamster will be very stressed in the cage.

You don't NEED 50 gallons but for the minimum it would be 20 gallons - and that's the MINIMUM. Connecting more crittertrails or tubes to a crittertrail won't help increase the floor space as they need one cage to meet 350 sq inches - and you can connect other cages to THAT. If you haven't researched enough to know this you shouldn't be getting a hamster. Simple.

That cage is too small and it will kill Hammy because of stress, if you get a large toat and drill holes in the top, it will be a bigger cage for a smaller price.

Hey rug I'm looking out for you when I tell you this. Don't get a two story cage for your hamster unless you put like a brace of fence by the edge Iv had many hamsters and I became close to a. Few of them but they died in 4 months or so from falling off the second or third story and breaking their backs it's a sad way to watch them die so please take into consideration of what I said happy birthday Bosley and welcome hammy
