Correction. There is Pork in Turkey, but since Turks don't eat Pork, very few shops actually sell and very few restaurants serve.

I have been to Turkey 7 times and am going again July,2018 to Kusadasi. It is rubbish to say that they do not have toilets. I have also seen more women in England wearing burkas than in Turkey.

We go turkey normaly every year but turkey is a best place to go people are so nice I dropped my wallet wich had my visa so thank god than this child ran up to me and gave it to me and I gave him 5 lira

I would recommend going to Bodrum for anyone who wants to go but doesnt know where. My family have been going for more than 20 years and I'm more than happy to say the people over there are some of the nicest you'll ever meet, I personally have more friends over there than I do here lol xx

Btw, you can find pork at Macrocenter. There are not plenty of options but still you can find pork meat there.

I'm a Christian, I don't plan on going to a mosque- do I still have to cover up if I am just walking around even though I'm a Christian

No. It is not necessary, it is up to you. But if you want to visit somewhere like mosque called cami, you should wear a hijab. :)

our homes have western toilets. but public places dont have because western toilets generally not clean, specially for public places.

Priya Hiriyanna if you are a computer programmer (Indian ar good at this i think) then you can earn well in Turkey. this is my oppinion as a Turkish. Teaching yoga is another option,...

Where did you go? In Alanya we dont have to have squat toilet, it was normal toilet. But we didnt have to cover us up, the most of the people was in bikini.

Nice video and very informative but its not all places you have to squat. It depends on where you are. And European citizens don't need a visa.

of course some :) Not all Europeans don't need visa but some do such as Albania, Austria, Belgium and others definitely need a visa to get to Turkey.

+Kaleab Tewahade I think two weeks won't be enough time to see much, Maybe a month would be nice. I would suggest you travel through raynair, or skyscanner they have the cheapest flights all over Europe. I think they sometimes have flights for $15. You just have to book the flights earlier obviously. You can also use busses or trains if you did like. Hope you have a wonderful trip, I'm sure you will enjoy it.

Leanne Arkley Maybe there was a language barrier or cultural difference which caused a misunderstanding? Or maybe you did something offensive which caused their reaction. Most Turks I've met were very warm, hospitable and friendly.
