I notice that to. Could be her mom cousin or even her mom half sister. Think a half aunt do share about the same amount of DNA as a 1st cousin. My mom half sister shows up as a possible 1st-2nd cousin to me even though we clearly don't have the same grandparents. Had she been my mom full sister it probably would say something different.

Nina- I have 1st cousin's enough older than me who had children who had babies older than me. My father was 30 when he married Mama(27) most of his siblings married when they were 15-20; so the generations got screwy. Love to hear search results ; betcha a Scottish seaman/captain had a baby from Nigerian girl taken into slavery.
