Me and my best friend have suffered with depression and anxiety for along time now and just showing you care can greatly help. Sometimes when your sad like that you forget to truly love yourself and sometimes need others to remind you that your amazing and deserve love and happiness.

I have gone through depression and anxiety for a few years now and since I got help for it when it started, I feel much better! Yesterday a family member tested positive for Covid, they passed away this afternoon. Everything happened so fast I’m not even sure how I feel right now, but watching you guys surprise Joe and to see him so excited still put a smile on my face. Wish I could do something like that for someone.

I just watched Joe's video on the BC channel. My heart went out to him and I hope he sees my message there and here. He is such a wonderful guy and I love when Joe is in the videos! He is so positive, supportive, loving and hilarious even when going through his own struggles, he is always ready and willing to help others! I love that Halie is part of this "different" vlog! I love that you were all worried you wouldn't see the kids when they moved out and they are in videos about the same amount now because they live close and visit lots. I am sorry that he was given an ultimatum and was forced to give up something he loved, that wasn't love on her end! I love every time you call it a bike, Aaron and Halie roll their eyes. OMG I can't believe he didn't believe that the trip was for him, he deserves all the goodness life has to offer!! Given his heart and how much he likes to help the people in his life, well thought out plot to get him over!! Everyone has mental health. It's just as important as nutrition etc. It's not something that should only be discussed when struggling, if we don't speak on it in all instances, good bad in-between, it's very hard to speak on it when it is really bad. We need to make it a habit of discussion in constant, normal everyday conversations. Love this. 💕

Grief anxiety and depression is something that has been going on in my life, especially after losing my daughter. Halie is such an inspiration and I looked to her videos when it was a hard day but now Joe has become an inspiration too. Makes one feel like you not alone during the hard times

Thank you for raising awareness. I just talked to my doctor to deal with my dysthymia (low grade depression) that I haven’t been able to shake on my own for way too long. It was scary to admit that I needed help. Asking for help is huge. I know that Joe going back to something he genuinely loves to do is going to be so healing. You guys totally rock. 💖

I have to say, what a kind gesture that was for Joe. As someone who struggles with depression and anxiety, more often than not I feel empty, like I’m always searching for purpose, love, acceptance. Depression can really mess with your head, and convince you that people are pushing you away even when they aren’t. Things can feel different even if they are exactly the same, because emotionally you just aren’t in a good place. I often feel very insecure, and doubt myself. Small gestures mean a lot too, but a big gesture like this, and something so meaningful, brought me to tears. You two are such incredible people. How truly blessed you all are to have one another. ❤️

Thank you so much for addressing mental illness (anxiety/depression etc). When Hallie addressed hers and went for help I was so very proud of her. I am unfortunately a momma whom lost my amazing son 2yrs ago for this exact reason. Hallie said it so well “it’s ok not to be ok”. Mental health, suicide etc has such stigma around it and it should not be this way so thank you for addressing it. Prayers that no family has to experience the pain of losing a loved one as ours has. It's so important, most of all to let people know that however terrible it might feel right now, you are not alone ❤ I know it can be SO hard to reach out, and sometimes you don't even have someone to reach out to, but there's always this comment section where I know people are genuinely supportive and caring ❤ And there are places to call, chat with and things like that. So no matter what, you are never ever ever fully alone! That being said, what an amazing gift to an amazing man! I don't understand how Joe is single, he seems to have it all. He's kind, funny, have a huge heart, all the kids seem to love him so he's clearly good with kids, he is open and brave with talking about all kinds of feelings (which can be rare sometimes in men, unfortunately), I mean, what's NOT to love with this guy?!
