I agree, but the TRUTH lies in the video, the young man was begging for his father's approval. His father gave him only a quick thanks, a little hug not even a long bear hug & said "I want to take your mother for a ride", not let's all take it for a spin. Simply, his father was cold, not in shock only entitled. PS: We both had the same type of a father, but mine was a Military Drill Sergeant. Comment in Question: To the last young man in this video, you have done a wonderful thing for your dad & unfortunately some individuals have forgotten their warm childlike spirit within them for so long, they lost the ability to express thanks as once did. So don't worry, you have done your best to honor your parents as God wanted you to do in the Bible. PS: Next time, just buy him a shirt or a small toy, less pain when you replay your video.

@@budgetbuilt8838 +++++++ He was checking all sorts of stuff, he squatted and checked the carpet and liners, the panels, the seats and dash lining. He knew what he was looking for. Same for exhaust tips, checking the panels for their integrity or if they were still metal. Checking the wheel wells and alloys, the hood scoop and decals, etc. etc. He probably didn't believe it was a full trans-am until he popped the hood and saw everything for himself. He's probably still checking stuff out lol :)

Years ago we surprised my dad with a 1970 HEMI Barracuda convertible. It was the same car he had a model of when he was a kid. My father was one of the toughest guys I’ve ever known. I’ve never seen him cry, but that car brought him to tears. Last year he passed away. We buried him with the model in his hands. His car is now waiting for my son who was named after him. RIP dad. Love you. ❤️

The one I bought him was custom modified by the previous owner. No, I never could have afforded an original. My dad was too happy to care. That Trans Am shot of the toy replica car at the end was genius.......summed up every kids journey from first seeing their dream car to the final destination of dream into reality for the very lucky few! Donna Williams it was 4 new cars and I worked 7/12’s for many years. Trying to make her happy. I also wasn’t wanting a child but she did. I think I gave her the one we got. Hard to say when working 7/12’s? So I am told “you only care about your self” I have still yet to see it.

Watching all three of these men transform into 17 year olds has me so emotional. Good dads create great kids, and the pride they exuded while gorging their fathers their dream cars was tangible. All three of these were beautiful, that second dad, in the Gran Torino, when he sat inside and his apprehension melted into a pure smile really got me. The cars and the truck were phenomenal gifts, there's a lot of love there, but that Olds Tornado was my first dream car, I will always remember seeing it for the 1st time at the 1965 car show when I was 10 yrs. old. I found a very clean one and bought it when I was 35 yrs. old, what a great car, thumbs up everywhere I went. Congratulations to all.

Have not done a car yet. Tho have surprised my Step dad with a motorcycle he did not cry until I left his work(Co worker called asking why he had broken down). Then for fathers day few years back I built him a U.S.M.C themed Computer to replace his Old PC he and I had built back in 2007. was a great day seeing his face when he realized the custom parts I had made had the exact date he enlisted. apart from the first time holding his grand kids those where the only other times I had seen him cry. :) These are the best video's

That fucking trans Am. I was brought home in the exact same looking one . August 24th, 1985 at 9 36pm at night , Flint,Michigan . Dad bought it before he met mom with his first few paychecks from General Motors. Shortly after I was born, he sold it and got some fucking minivan thing . I'm 36 and my father is in his mid 60s,.....I still think he blames my existence for taking his trans am from him. 🤣

The segment with the T/A was exceptional. Watched dozens of these gifting parents with vehicle vids and this was hands-down among the best. I teared up - and that takes a lot. Absolutely gorgeous Pontiac and I loved the idea of giving him the diecast model first. For those of us unable to do the same - thanks for sharing this and letting us live this vicariously.

The Trans Am one got to me the Most...🥲 Not only was that car IMMACULATE!! But his son looks very young....& His parents must be amazing to have such a young son be so successful & thoughtful at that age to get his father such a MINT condition classic!! So this is what a functional family does on occasion? Beautiful. I had a 78 TA when I was younger and my dad conned me out of it. Wish I woulda kept that car and fully restored it but resto mod with the LS motor upgraded suspension, brakes etc but kept it as original looking as possible. Great car..Cool video!!

I think it was back in the early 1990s, when i witnessed one of these 'car surprises' go down. There was a bank across the street from my apartment.....& I drove thru it's parking lot everyday on my way to work. One day I saw one of the blond tellers jumping up & down in front of a white sports car that had a big bow on top of it. I didn't have time to stop to watch, but I kind of wish I had.

my grandad gave me his dream car which is also my dream car a datsun 280z with L28 engine and sadly he passed away a few years ago but i still drive his car on a daily base and i was the car infront of the one carrying him as a token of respect i will never modify it anymore then it was (fender flares, lip and duck bill and a newer radio with a new speakers. he did all of that himself) and i will never sell it no matter what and now soon my dads dream car arrives that i bought for him ive been very fortunate with investments so i bought him a dodge ram 1500 longhorn top of the line and it should arrive next tuesday which is great cus he will be at work the entire day so i can just take it without him seeing it and ill give it to him at dinner

Well My mom's dream car is a Lancer (Not an Evo)it's her dream car because in her school They always use to tell her, that if you study hard you would be able to afford a lancer (This is in India). It's really difficult to get hands on one these days. And my father's Dream car is a Toyota Fortuner. If I get a well paying Job I can afford one for him. It will make him very happy I guess, Not sure because he's an engineer and engineers are never smiling unless their project is finished.
