A work around for the offer situation on Posh is to edit the size and it should void the offers and then you can delete it.

HI guys! I love this discussion! The two platforms I sell on are Mercari and Poshmark, Mercari being my main. I tried Posh 3 or 4 times and gave up before it stuck this time. I about had a heart attack the first time I had an offer out on Posh and it sold on Mercari and I couldn't de-list it! I guess there is a way, but it's not obvious, so honestly I almost never send offers now. One thing I have done is lower the price on days that Posh pays for discounted shipping to likers, but then you have to be careful if you keep doing that, because after the discounted shipping offer ends, your price is still lower, and then you still get offers. I do share my closet every day. I really like Mercari, I love no fees, and that you can just concentrate on listing, but I am still happy that I have another platform to cross list to now. My sales are consistent for very part time, can't complain! Best of luck as you move forward to it! Liked and shared, thanks for sharing!

Keep up the good work! I would say your sense about not sharing on posh might be hurting your sales is true, but I have noticed that listing new items on posh helps with sales too. I do not feel like most of the cross listing tools are worth the money but there is one that used to be free and is now charging about $10 per month that I think is worth it.

Good point! Thank you for your comment. We will be looking into sharing apps and do a video in a few weeks.

My experience on Mercari is lots of hearts but not as many sales conversations because buyers want you to discount a ton. But with that said I do sell mostly odd stuff that I can't sell on eBay, which to me means they show all your stuff. So if you have room to discount say 20 to 30%. You all can do well since you have a lot of items in your store.

You ABSOLUTELY have to do the sharing and sharing back. I hate all of that (just like you) but that is the only way to have sales. Trust me. The thing you need is the auto sharer. It does it for you. Set it and forget it! You have to leave browser windows open so this is the test that convinced me. I had a heat wave in my office, shut my computer down for 4 days and NO likes and NO anything. I have a very small store there so I am satisfied with the sales I get with the auto sharer.

This! Get Flyp and it will share for you. $9 per month. It also does crosslisting and bulk offers to likers. If I don't share on Poshmark my sales completely dry up.
@curiouscollection2626
@curiouscollection2626 2 месяца назад
What "Sharer" do you suggest? Is there a cost associated with it?
@spendingcents26150
@spendingcents26150 2 месяца назад
@@curiouscollection2626 I also recommend Flyp. This is also a crosslister which gives you that freedom if you want it. I do use the crosslister because it will delist when manually tell it that something sold on one platform(not update etc) and I like to have granule control. It isn't an end all in that department but the Posh thing is invaluable.

@@curiouscollection2626I use Flyp, it's $9 per month. Does all my sharing and crosslisting too. (Since Poshmark is my best platform, I list everything there and then crosslist some items to eBay.) There are a lot of great Poshmark RU-vidrs out there - Becky Park is my favorite. She's actually more platform-agnostic now but started out as purely Poshmark. 😊

I think it's a good idea to cross list with such a large store of long tail items, but have you all thought about branching out to higher sell through rate items such as small electronics (space is an issue for me as well living in an rv!) Video games, cameras, etc? Not a massive shift, but maybe as 10-15% of your store?

We have sold digital cameras and 35mm, as well as video games. We live in a poor, rural community with most of the population being elderly. It is nearly an hour drive to an actual city. Most of the items we source are from estate auctions or estate sales (People died of old age). We do not pass up these kinds of items but they are just not common enough for us to find to be an important part of our business. Great items when you can find them.

Mercari has an import feature that allows easier cross list from eBay, i choose to do a few at a time, in puts them in a draft status, the category usually requires edits and I edit the price Thanks for videos ( Poshmark for me is no sales) Mercari is weak but it’s because of my niche, postcards magazines and print ads) I do occasionally source lots from Mercari

Unfortunately on poshmark you need to share your closet to get sales. Most poshmark sellers are using a bot to do the sharing, offers to likers etc. Mercari, on the hand, you list your items and then you sell. No sharing lol. To delist on poshmark (with an offer) you need to change the size. After you change that. Go back to the listing and delete the item.

Mercari went through kind of a slump for a while but in the past year they have invested in google ads so this is the time to sell on that platform!! I’ve been selling on there off and on for years and this year has been the best for sales since they have more customers now. Posh sounds like too much work so I’ve never tried it. 😅

If you’re going to keep going on Posh I would be curious to see what happens if you only list your higher dollar items if that would help your sales. I do think of posh as a platform marketed toward the higher ticket brands but again, I don’t sell on there. Could be wrong!

You can delist items with offers on posh but to do it go in and edit the listing and change the size of the item then go back in and delete.

I hear you on Poshmark not allowing you to delist something you sold elsewhere if offers are out. I had no idea that was a thing and sold something on EBay. You're right. It was such a pain having to wait almost 24 hours and praying the Posher didn't "buy" it.

eBay is ‘innovating’ themselves into obscurity

Yes, the algorithm appears to favor New in Package, volume listings, rather than Vintage, One off, or Collectibles. They are making it tough but like yourself we are just further diversifying.

I sell vintage, used items and cross list. Today 4 Mercari sales, 1 Etsy sale, and a nice goose egg on ebay which I have been selling on since 2007. Don't get it but the way this world is going nothing surprises me. Happy this is only a part time gig.

Aww you don't have to keep thanking me. Cinnamon has the best jewelry and she has ignited a passion in me for it. I hardly had ANY jewelry at all before discovering you and now I've been slowing getting some pieces from you and I love them all. It's fun following your channel and seeing how your business is going. I'm routing for you to do well. I've tried some other reseller channels and most come off as just being kind of not so genuine. Like it's just attention grabbing headlines of how you can make over $100,000 a year and they aren't showing the realities. I like watching real people who are just decent honest people. I only watch you, Kevin, Josh, John and Jenna really. Love all those channels. I can't give any advice about Poshmark as I've never even looked at the site, LOL. I've bought on Mercari and Etsy just a couple of times each (my vintage Barbie stuff) and they were good experiences. I mostly just do Ebay and stick to what I know I guess. Keep up the good work!

Just asking. Is Posh even worth it to you? All the time you sink into just delisting. If you have to log in and delist 12 Mercari sales and however many eBay sales, do the two actual Posh sales cover that? Anyway, thanks for posting.

Simple answer is no. Or rather not yet. We are hopeful as it is a new platform for us that sales will increase as we become more established. Great question.
