Lack of surrender for me resulted in anxiety and unnecessary stress. Therefore, I couldn't find 'rest in God'. However, I've experienced the beauty of surrender 🙌
Im currently in God’s waiting room at the moment and surrendering is a challenge. Daily i have to remind myself of it, daily i have to give every desires specially in area of who i will marry, and letting God to search my heart and expose to me where i am lacking. Everyday is a battle with the enemies attack along with our own flesh. Praise be to God that he has sent us Jesus and his words to renew our mind daily as I surrender to walk his will over my life and do my purpose..
This is something I constantly struggle with is my anxious thoughts often consume me and get the best of me. I always feel so silly once God shows just how much He cares or just how faithful He is. The place I have the most trouble trusting God is with the future. I constantly seem to walk by sight, and when I can't see how things are going to fall into place, I just get worked up. I see that's something I need to be praying about daily, not just that anxiety won't consume me, but that I will trust Him. Thanks for sharing. I hope we all will truly trust the Lord every day. ♥️
It's been extremely difficult to surrender when fighting for basic needs; even though trusting in His goodness has become a necessity, I'm still fighting it the entire way. But I AM choosing to pursue Him instead of compromising by giving into seemingly easier/quick fixes. I NEED to gain a KNOWING of His love and receive His faith... HIS faithfulness... and WHOLLY trust in Him... I'm soooo tired of fighting the shame/feels that I need to 'do, do, do' to receive. Seems to me He'll allow us to go however low we need to til we GET it... I pray other brothers and sisters GET IT way sooner than I am bc this is brutal. All praises to our Most High Elohim over all the heavens and earth!
This spoke to me. Last week I was telling others how to exercise their faith in order for them to see if God really is a good father. I highly encouraged them. But then the last couple of days I've been kinda not listening to God instructing me to cover my head when I pray. What He is doing is essentially showing me that I am not always willing to submit to Him. I want things done the easy way, my way but God showed me we need to get things done His way. It is not easy submitting to God even with the smallest things but I am thankful He does all this so that our hearts may be revealed where they truly lie.
I learned today that my feelings have been one of the things keeping me from truly surrendering to Gods will. While I was “complaining to God about not changing my heart, new spirit, and where I feel I should be in my relationship with him and I saw the words FEELINGS flash across my eyelids. Didn’t think anything of it until I watched another video and he said your feelings get in the way and here you said it as well. I will have to tell myself those words everyday until it becomes natural
Thanks Sarah. This is a very encouraging and timely message. I have had to recently surrender my singleness, staying in a city I dislike and that has limited job opportunities and my food addiction. It's a lot. And it's a dying of myself and my desires to do things my own way and to really trust in the Lord and not lean on my own understanding. It's hard and humbling though as I'm a very independent, strong willed lady.
I am also going through this.. for a long time, I’ve struggled with my own will.. It’s getting too difficult for me to deal with. How can I succeed truly if I keep waiting for him.
@@chinalurumregal5751 Great question! I have been asking myself the same thing! I am learning that there is a difference between God's will and the will of religion. And historically, religion has NOT been in favor of Black women, and furthermore, times have changed. The spirit of God is fluid and is able to meet us where we are in any situation or circumstance if we remain open and TRUE to the spirit of God WITHIN us. And a lot of times, that can't be put in a box.
I really struggling with habit of smoking and surrendering this and also relationships to God this message as really helped me, to see that I have problems with trusting. I know Gods asking me to fully surrender as he is all of us but that picture shown i was given that months ago so really spoke to me heart thank you Father God for you know exactly what we need when we need it your details in my life are truly amazing

I have struggled for years trying to understand God and why this are they they are and end up I was born in the seventies and by the time I was 8 I knew I was gay and was a sin . Something I have struggled with all my life Afraid to get close or even love anyone for it would sin. So turned ALCOHOLIC to cover it so I would not think about it i.then found that I had manic depression. And anxiety disorder and Adhd.. I lost control in my life . I took my self to rehab and was in a recovery house for a year by choice. Soon after I got my own place again and was doing well but in side i was empty broken and shamed of my self soon after that I picked up a bottle again and I drank three days straight. Mind you I went to church i am a believer on the third day I was a complete mess.again I smoke some pot and was still a mess I got in my car to go see Another friend too help me understand what I was going through. Didn't even make it there . I was going down 17rth st light was green a college student ran the red light striking my car and pushed it 43 feet across the intersection across the side walk through the lawn of and newly wed couple and into their living room. I was charged with DUI they didn't even charge the student and a few witnesses said and put.on report that he had been in lane after lane speeding And I was where he ended up stopping. I then went through all the legal crap I had to lost my job and was out of work for a year once again got life back on track . And had a total of four new Managers come through out doors to run our company all on wich always have ne the shit end of the stick every time now which in all of that mess I ended up homeless living in my 40 motorhome and now jobless again broken twice bas much..I want to but can't seem to make or meet terms with god . I was born gay . It truly isn't a decision. So I live my life single every day unhappy as hell witch I fell was Gods hell on me or earth. It's hard to trust and give so much and got nothing in return. But to breath .not live or be free just to breathe. So I dont know how to surrender to one who clearly omits my love and anger tha8 your video was.awwaome

We’re all born into sin, and though you may have experienced same sex attraction early, I don’t believe people are born gay. We live in a fallen sinful world and Satan is real. Because we’re born into sin, this is why we must be born again of the Spirit of God. God doesn’t omit or ignore or want you to suppress your anger or homosexual desires. He wants you to bring them to him. Don’t try to be straight or think you have to have heterosexual desires in order to come to God first. Just come to God as you are & allow him to work out everything else. All God wants is for you to come to him and allow him to give you rest for your weary soul, place faith in Jesus Christ, deny yourself & follow HIM! I’m praying that God will meet you and reveal Himself to you so you can experience his overwhelming and all satisfying love. Jesus is the only one who can fully satisfy every longing in your heart. You really can experience true Joy and freedom in Christ-not outside of Him. I’m struggling with surrendering my desire to live in Europe. I keep thinking that’s what I need to start living my life again. But I know it’s not true. He has me here for a reason.
Hi I'm a new Christian and this is a bit confusing. The Bible says we do not have because we do not ask, so does surrendering mean we are no longer asking for what we desire? Sorry if this is a stupid question, I'm still learning.
@JustBeingMe Hi there! Not a stupid question at all! Surrendering doesn’t mean we don’t ask for what we desire, it means we submit our desires/what we ask for to Gods will. Whether we get what we want or not, we still worship and trust Him because he’s a good father and He knows best. The perfect example is Jesus in the garden of Gethsemane in Matthew 26. Jesus prayed that the cup of suffering would pass from Him, but he surrendered his will to the fathers will “nevertheless, not my will, but as you will.” Just how we would ask our earthly parents for things as children but didn’t always get what we want/asked for, because they knew what was best and gave us what we needed. God is a PERFECT father, so we can always ask, and trust that what he gives is always best & will bring Him glory. Does that help?

So last night when I prayed,I simply told God that I place my hopes and desires in His hands and it felt like a major weight has been lifted in that moment. Thank you for your content.
