Thank's Kev! It def wasn't. The previous year at the exact same site, they woke us up at 3 am. whooping about 30 feet away in the forest. They did approx 50 whoops in increments of 5. It was crazy! I also saw glowing red eyes, something touched my tent right by my head & they threw a chestnut at us & did wood knocks. Going back again in August with my son to the same site. Will have several audio recorders this time all around our site & in the forest & trails.
can i say thank you...... just evidence and not a " look at me wandering around, making weird calls and beating the hell out of tree trunks with a stick " video..... i've had a couple of experiences over here in the UK, my main one was back in the mid 70s as a 14 year old while night fishing with a friend at a small pond in a forest to the north of london....with fishing unbrellas behind us, at gone midnight there came an almighty stamp at the edge of the forest some 12 to 15 ft behind us.....2 seconds later another, louder, perhaps 6 to 8 ft behind us.....2 seconds later one right behind the umbrellas..... we eventually got out to look after a quick should we look at what the hell that was - there was nothing there in the torchlight........how loud..imagine a 300 pound man with someone on his back hopping on compacted gravel and you'll get the idea.... we got out of there sharpish....... so yes i know they exist...have subbed to you
