Calculating bearings and azimuths for a traverse when given the interior angles and one of the bearings. I just used the counterclockwise method to calculate the azimuths of each side of the traverse then converted the azimuths to bearings. I hope this is helpful!
I did this video for extra credit for my surveying class. This is the first video I've ever done like this, so I apologize for any mistakes I made! hopefully I corrected them all by the end.
The math is all correct though, so if you ended up on this video hoping to learn how to do this, everything is right by the end, I just misspoke a few times.

Sly Niinja I think is because azimuths are always measured from north, and when you are trying to find the backsite of your azimuth, you either add or subtract 180, depending on which quadrant the line is in. So when he found AZ AB, which is in the NW quadrant, to find its backsite, you know it will be in the SE, so you take AZ AB - 180 The little grid he drew under the traverse near the beginning is pretty helpful to understand when to add or subtract.

it depends what else you were given. but you should be able to find it based on the direction of your north arrow

I got a negative azimuth, is this okay? Like setting it as an absolute value? or I might have done something wrong?

where did the 30° angle came from? I'm trying to answer my homework and the given were only the distance and azimuth from south. 😭

Purple Jams to be honest, I haven't done this sort of work since I posted this video, but I just checked my old textbook. By the looks of it, if you are given azimuth, it's more or less the same process but in the reverse direction. Counterclockwise when given bearing angle, clockwise when given azimuth... I think

i already solved it (it's a lab exercise in my surveying class), I made your video as my reference in solving the bearing since it's the only data I'm lacking and it wasn't that complicated at all ☺ Thanks by the way.
