Why the convention of putting the elevation as the right column, I'll never understand who thought that up and seems more prone to error due to adding and subtracting from rows above/skipping. Intuitively, it should have been put between station and BS and everything be on the same row ideally with two columns of elevation- the el of the bs and the el of the fs. Oh well. I still get confused.

During fieldwork, does it matter if we maintain a pattern for reading our points, for example, going clockwise or anticlockwise and book in the points? Or does it also work if I setup at random spots, get readings, but manage so start and end at the same point (BM) and close out the survey?

I understand how it works. So far, I understand you walk the perimeter to read elevation but what about INSIDE the perimeter. I mean...say there's a mountain 1000 feet inside your perimeter but around the whole thing it's all 0's... Someone help me please...this is my very first video about this stuff...very interesting stuff...

great video but the calculations are wrong. also, you are using 2 decimals in all the results which is wrong, you should use 3 decimals.
