The persimmons I ate looked like wild persimmons. Some tasted good, but others were bitter. Some years there were more good ones than in other years, so perhaps the weather effects how sweet they are. Some of the fruit I picked up off the ground and other fruit I picked from the tree. Even permissions off the ground weren't always sweet.
