If you want to help Julian's family you can donate here: paypal.me/julianlerry they need money for basic needs like milk powder, rice, clothing, medical kits and so on. Every dollar counts! Even 1 dollar helps them out. Also if you want to book a Gabon tour with Julian you can do it here: gabon-adventuretours.ga
Nice video. Gabon is the "Costa Rica" of Africa: a small, neutral, and mostly stable country in a sea of instability. They're going to be in trouble when their oil runs out, but if they are smart, they will find substitutes for export, without having to sacrifice their rain forests or other natural resources. Visitors like Survivor Lilly who are respectful of the culture and don't stay in $300/night resorts, but stay instead in the local (very rustic) travel lodges, will help spread the word about this beautiful equatorial coastal state to other sincere, respectful travelers. Nice gesture, to donate your Bear Grylls knife to the village chief. Perhaps in a future video you can discuss the basic, survival-level skills you witnessed & maybe learned during this journey. Thanks again for posting it! --Terry
You will probably find that unless they have another viable natural resource like gold or diamonds the only way the country will survive is through tourism
Rubing shoulders with the locals is the essence of what the juny should be about?? Never mind the destination.at my age they can pay my nose with a shovel any day... So gotta stay in the jurey as long as possible..🕺
When we see how others on our planet have to survive day to day, it shows how vulnerable the rest of us are. Many of us could not survive today should we lose electricity or not have access to our grocery stores. Your trip reminds us to be thankful of what we have. Thank you for sharing, Lily. 🇨🇦
The truth is that all of our luxury and wealth in our society is an anomaly that could go away at any time if the political, or economical enviroment changes for the worse. Thats why we learn survival skills like this so that we dont too comfortable to the point where we just die out without our luxuries
🌸🌸🌸 Just wanted you to know that your story is truly inspiring Lilly.... going from a burned out accountant to doing what you truly love and sharing your adventures with us (the world) along the way. Watching your videos gives me so much hope that I have lots to look forward to in my next chapter. I found your videos just as I am experiencing major career burnout and making preparations for my next move to do what truly enjoy doing. Your documentaries are proof that following your dreams can lead to a much more fulfilling and enjoyable life. Much love and support to you as you continue to live out your dreams 🌸🌸🌸

prettyboy21bb now you're the one that looks stupid for making a big deal out of a space missing between two words. We get the message so stop trying to make people less educated than you.
Lilly I love how positive you were! and the only time you seemed worried because of the driver your partner was laughing!! I love how kind hearted you are and how you make people around you feel comfortable (it shows on how they waved goodbye and blew kisses and how they laughed, and the kids). Thank you very much for sharing your adventure and your thoughts (yes, we are lucky just to be able to take a warm bath and sometimes, missing a bus is enough excuse to be moody all day. Seeing the effort those people make and seeing their big smiles on their faces makes you think a lot). Best wishes for both of you! 'till the next time
I love your comment that these indigenous people are the TRUE SURVIVALISTS! This looks like an AWESOME ADVENTURE! These folks seem to be genuinely happy and humble. On another note, it would truly be miraculous to one day in the not too distant future, for these people to have things that we as most developed nations, have and take for granted, like fresh clean running water, electricity, good health and to be prosperous. Thank you Lilly for sharing this very humbling experience. Warm Regards from Chandler, Arizona
I think every country needs a visit from you, Lilly. :) You are like an ambassador for happiness and positivity. As well as survival skills, a positive attitude is very important too. Your personality will persevere when it seems there is no way out. Thanks for another wonderful video, Lilly. :)
I was born in the late 70's.. :) ..And my Gparents looked after me also ... ..and to this very day... i will still ask my gran to tell me a story !! ,while cuddling up to the hot coal fire :))))
Good Morning Lilly, what a nice surprise this morning. Enjoy your time in Africa. It looks like so much fun. From one survivalist to another - Follow the Journey.
All of your guides were awesome! Africa isn't on my bucket list, but everyone you showed on film looked so happy and accommodating. I really enjoyed this video. Thanks for sharing.
Best survivalist channel period. She actually backs up all her talk, actually lives demonstrates her philosophy. With the exception of Canterbury the rest or just phonies selling dreams and products. Its all about their gain and not really teaching. If it upsets you idc.Lily is the real deal and 100% genuine.
This is actually pretty cool Lilly, thank you for sharing your adventure and these people's life with us. It really makes me appreciate what I have. You're awsome!
This is really amazing Lily. Thanks for sharing this fantastic adventure. It's really sad t see people going through that kind of situation. I'll try my best to help.👍
My husband and I built a church directly East.. on the East Coast of Kenya. I have visited there 4 times over the past 20 years.. An incredible journey.. the people are amazing! So glad you had a good time!!
Wow what an awesome vid. I can't believe how warm, generous n welcoming these peo who have so very little, truly are. Thank you so much for sharing this adventure and showing the real stuff unlike so many 'staged' outdoor vids on RU-vid. I must say that I would have starved to death as most of the food pretty was unappetizing (I've always been very grateful to have all that I have n watching this type of vid is why). It's humbling to see such happiness in peo who have to live w out electricity and fresh running water. This series has been really enjoyable n it was awesome to see the honest n real way these peo live. Thanks Lilly, great vids of an awesome adventure.
had a friend that went to africa. his sister had joined a cult of some sort and kidnapped her daughter as she had joint custody with her ex husband. my buddy and his family went down there and got her back with the government's help. told me they were doing like 50 to 60 mph on a dirt highway and going the opposite direction was an old land rover, black smoke pouring out of the engine bay as it went the same speed the opposite way. had a guy sitting on the fender working on the motor as it barreled down that road. crazy stuff. but you gotta do what you gotta do.
its nowhere to visit, and lilly shouldnt be making it all super fun and happy, its a dangerous, poinonous, place full of racial hatred and disease. tell people about that lilly
I've seen African visits on History and Discovery, but nothing like what I just watched...a woman just visiting a local...The best RU-vid film I have ever seen. Thank you for sharing this adventure. To see the true local environment and culture is awesome!
Sooo cool Lilly ! You made it to Africa !!!! I watched up until you were giving gifts to the kids , saving the rest to watch tonight while having some dinner . This VIDEO could be your greatest one ever - I take your back home and safe ! So until tonight have a great DAY ! Many thanks for sharing !!! As always 👍😎🙈🙉🙊💓 bye for now !!! Blues man out -
What an amazing adventure. Wish there was more to watch. Your face when he told you that the dog was eaten by the snake though was priceless. Poor puppy.
I hear you man "It's gonna take a lot to drag me away from you There's nothing that a hundred men or more could ever do I bless the rains down in Africa Gonna take some time to do the things we never have"
Fantastic vlogg , you really are the female version of indiana jones fearless. your footage of this trip was just amazing, i would feel totally safe out in the open with you around, i can see why your channel won a award for survival experience you have. your very inspiring and very beautiful. i hope that one day i am brave/ fortunate enough to have a least one of the adventures you've had , you truly are amazing lilly. stay safe, and god bless. see you next vlogg.# big luv. xx
Is that it? from the sound of it you are leaving. I thought you would spend more time there. You really went native kudos for spending so much time with the people instead of in some insulated resort that separates the tourists from the villagers.
Africa captivated my heart 28 years ago on my first trip! So glad you had a guide! No joke there with the hippopotamus, buffalo, schistosomiasis in the water! Stay out of the water! My friend got it. I saw everything but lions and leopards through the years believe it or not. I took my son a year ago , he loved it. I wish I had my channel going then, but I'll be back!
Can just I tell you the best moment in my life was living in Africa. So nice you enjoyed. People are really nice.. And nature is awesome. Best part of my life was in Africa. And I love you enjoyed so much. Peoples in there has knowledegs that worth to learn, feel really someone special they shared it with you and on video. It's a great gift and more I have to tell you is you had something only you deserve. A great gift.
Well done 👍 I'm so glad that being a accounting made you sick... No I'm sorry for your pain and discomfort... But your video spread so much hope and joy... I know that people with sever handycap watching every video that you make they live there adventure through you... Lily... You are a credit to your generation... God bless and safe and stay sane in this crazy time 🙏
I always loved drinking with Austrians. Mostly because when I'm drunk I get silly and whenever someone says prost (sounds like brjóst) I start laughing. Mostly because it means boob in my language. Maybe I'm just simple :D But looks like it was a fantastic time over there.
Hallo Lilly. Ich wollte eigentlich nur kurz reinschauen....schlussendlich habe ich mit die ganze halbe Stunde geschaut. :-D Tolles Video, es hat mir mega Spass gemacht deine Tour zu verfolgen. LG Felix
Great to see you experience this part of Africa. A bit different from this neck of the woods here in the Ontario Canada wilderness. What a great adventure. Thanks for sharing.
I'm glad you had such a wonderful experience. Living in East Africa has taught me so much about survival and having a joyful mindset in the midst of challenges. Looks like you both witnessed and experienced the same. I wish more people would choose to experience it for themselves instead of prejudging based on negatively biased news. We live in such a beautiful, generous, and joyous world - if only we would allow ourselves to open up to see it and experience it.
You are so awesome Lilly. I really admire and respect your love to learn, share, expand your life knowledge and you truly have such an open heart. So inspirational. I'm definitely sending some assistance to your friend Julian. Thanks also for showing us a glimpse of an amazing country that doesn't get much press. We're all one big global family, and sometimes we forget. :)
Welcome to Africa and may you take pleasant memories back with you. Africa is hard even if you "work with her". The 3 most dangerous life forms are: Mosquitoes - cause the most deaths. Hippos - Omnivores - POWERFUL jaws - and can easily run as fast as you can. Humans - I'll say no more... And just remember this - once you get the dust of Africa between your toes, you do not get rid of it - you will ALWAYS yearn to come back.
What a blast...so glad you got the chance to do it! Haha, that would be me on the boat too...but bet the experiences will stay in your heart a lifetime. Thank you for taking us along with you
Lilly, you’re an inspiration! Your fearlessness, strength of spirit, sense of humour and adventurousness are awesome. Don’t know how you do it but I sure do admire you! Thanks for sharing and opening hearts and minds!
Yes Gabon would definitely be an adventure if you like going to the bathroom in a bucket, losing your luggage, living with roaches, no running water, bathing in the river, and most importantly, compromising your safety by driving around in wrecks that have no seat belts, rear view mirror, spare tire, door handles etc.
I think the bucket was just to fill the tank on the flush toilet. As for the rest, you can always go stay in a Hilton Hotel. Some of us get tired if that and want to see how much of the rest of the world lives. Adventure vs. comfort.
I felt like I was there such a good video... your humility shines as well as the locals. The most important things in life they seem to possess.....Admiration I feel now .
wonderful! More of a stable country than Uganda where I stayed for 3 months helping out at a clinic in the bush. Pumped own well water, pit toilets, mambas everyday ground and in trees. Clinic was a shipping container bought from freight company and placed at the food of the mountains in NE Uganda. Life changing for sure. I agree!!
Love your channel and think this is my favourite video of yours to date. More videos travelling the world meeting / living with the local communities please.
WTF is wrong with airports losing luggage all the time!? Imagine if you ordered dinner and 2/10 times they "lost" your veggies, or pasta.. it's just ridiculous business practice. SMH
It’s amazing how much we take for granted in our lives, what a great place even the animals are friendly and it was very kind of you buy gifts for the children.
Thank you Lilly, for showing this and being so open to try all the food set out for you. The continent of Africa holds so many countries and so many different lifestyles anyone couldn't explore them all in one lifetime properly. I only visited your country, Austria once, but found it to be an amazing place. Great people like yourself, and wonderful food. Maybe you could show more of your country to the rest of us sometime. Love your channel, keep up your passion with your videos, please. I
Bravo Lilly! This is one of the best RU-vid videos I've ever seen. What an amazing adventure. My only complaint is it could have been longer, and left me wanting more. Congrats on your accomplishments.
