No relief for the next 7-10 days for our friends in the Midwest and the South. Water early if you can and stay hydrated.

Great advice and I’m in north west FL so it’s even hotter down here and I have had to water some of my potted plants on the porch a lot more like every other day

Thanks for the kind words Angel. Stay cool the next few days/weeks long term forecast is 95ish everyday with 100+ heat index once you factor in humidity. No relief in the Midwest and southeast for a while.

You may have answered this in your video and I missed it because I multitask but how often do you water in hot summer months? I live in the Jackson Mississippi area and as you know well it gets pretty hot mid June into July. My springtime watering schedule is typically Monday Wednesday Friday mornings. And as it gets hotter, I will include one weekend day with a short watering session. I have mulch and have noticed that the dirt is still moist in the afternoon of the watering sessions. Should I water daily with short sessions of less than 10 minutes or…?

I always tell my classes "water deeply and infrequently". Water until it's saturated and let it completely dry out before watering again. I good test is stick your index finger in the soil. If it feels damp you are good. If it's dry water. When to water is very situational dependent.
