Fantastic recovery mate, you will be an asset to an employer. I am certain you'll be gainfully employed for your continued journey. Even with a smashed up leg, you are still doing shit the majority of people back home in the USA a dreaming of doing.

GDay mate, good on you young fella. Never give up and never give in, you will make a great Aussie. Somewhere on that plan you need a Mrs or Mr Right. Always planing for tomorrow is commendable but never forget abouting living today. Bloody bike should of taught you that. It's great to tick off those 3 goals every 100 days, but never walk past an opportunity just to get there. Balance the scales and you will feel like your never carrying a load. Just like surfing, too much weight to the front and your going down, too much to the back and your going nowhere. Get your balance right and your flying brother. Take care Mate and good luck.

Same in Vic but but you would have been covered under the ‘no fault’ TAC (CTP) scheme. There’s the rub, different rules in each state/ territory so travel insurance is a must. Good luck with a full recovery and keep up the great vids. Cheers.

Glad you’re healing and thanks for putting this out as a cautionary tale for other visitors. I moved from Canberra to Melbourne with lots of plans of what life would be like in my new city and have been ill the two and a half years since I got here. Barely explored any of it. The gap between expectation and reality can be a disappointment. Hopefully the mindfulness you’ll have gained through your recovery and the extra appreciation for the challenges people with different illnesses and disabilities will be important for you going forward. I’m looking forward to when you can share your exploration of a couple of other parts of Australia, even if just weekend trips.

Hey Greg, I’m that chick that had a similar accident around the same time as you, who posted on another one of your videos. Glad to hear you’re doing better now. So normal to have a period of feeling a bit crap. I had a similar bump in my recovery process as well. My mcl, pcl, and lcl have healed and my acl is also recovering too (apparently serve injuries like these increase the healing response and the acl benefits). Unfortunately, I still can’t fully straighten my leg (currently at 5deg) and can only bend to about 115deg. How’s your range of motion? 🤔 I’m still doing brutal physio but it’s getting there. About to start back at gym now too - thanks for the motivation 🙂 Keep us updated!
@gregjameson327
@gregjameson327 14 дней назад
Congrats! It felt huge when I was finally allowed to do some exercise. I can get my leg completely straight but still struggle bending it. ATM I can probably bend about 115 as well. Hopefully they start me on some stretching exercises soon!

My offer for the Tablelands tour still stands, but I have been called for jury duty for the next 3 weeks so I won't be available until that is done. There is good and bad in every situation life throws at us and I think you have to credit yourself with exhibiting endurance and positivity through adversity. I had fall and fractured my ankle, leg and three metatarsal in Rockhampton three days into a seven week round road trip from Melbourne to Cairns and back to Melbourne. It was the Wet season in Queensland in January and the heat and humidity was through the roof. My leg couldn’t be put in a cast because of the swelling so I only had a back slab bandaged onto my leg to support it and in Cairns I hired a wheelchair. Couldn’t make it to the Rainforest but had a day out on a tourist ship (carried on by the crew) to the Great Barrier Reef roaming around onboard in my wheelchair. I had a great time spending the day with a lovely lady from Boston who didn’t want to snorkel etc. it took me 8 months to recover full mobility of my ankle joint but it eventually came good after my chiropractor told me to raise my leg, suspend it in the air and write out the upper and lower case alphabet with my foot … got 100% mobility back in no time. 🇦🇺🤝🇺🇸
