Seeing and experiencing this was truly humbling. You never know when something like this could happen to you. Never take ANYTHING for granted and tell your close ones that you love them every chance you get. Evacuation can be even scarier than the hurricanes themselves. I live in Houston, TX and we had a major evacuation from Hurricane Rita back in 2005 that was such a disaster with triple digit heat, clogged roads, no gas at stations, empty store shelves, etc. Took 12 hours just to go 30 miles. This was such a nightmarish experience that nobody wanted to evacuate for future hurricanes. In fact, the only deaths that came from that hurricane were related to heat exhaustion during the evacuation process. Nobody actually died from the hurricane itself.

i have friends in florida that couldn't evacuate and had to stay home. one of the scariest moments that we had both heard was hearing two large trees clash down OUTSIDE their home and onto the streets during this hurricane (we were on a call). the winds and rain were heavy, their power had went out so many times and unfortunately it is STILL out.. the next morning they were watching the news of the hurricane and it's impact and broke into tears. im grateful they're okay now, but my heart goes out to everybody in Florida right now. thank you ricky and nick for documenting your experience with such a terrifying hurricane and being brave through it all. may God bless everybody in florida 💜

its actually wild and the west panhandle of Florida is so lucky to not get toughed by both these hurricanes and its so sad to see pretty much all of Florida except here is torn apart. I couldn't even imagine what to do if our house got destroyed because there are so many thing you would have to do, I would probably just collapse and cry. 14:54 one thing I’ve learned being a forever Floridian born & raised, I will neverrrr leave… but just because the eye wall hasn’t made landfall doesn’t mean you are not inside the hurricane. Especially that close to eye wall landfall yall are in the middle of the storm already. I mean as kids my brother and I would play outside alllll dang day long until the sun went down, it was a trip. It’s just you have to respect a storm of this size and extreme.

these video’s are always happy and exciting this one just ended that streak and caused pure horror to my heart i literally started crying seeing all the people affected by the hurricane god bless to all the people affected, hope the recovery is quick and nothing like that happens again, im sincerely sorry for all this, poor st.pete all the people in saint pete took so much damage, even the military had to get in to stop people from going through and losing their life, to all the people who were injured and nearly killed, and all the poor people who lost their lives, their families, their siblings, their pets, it sucks knowing that this happens, its terrible, i hope everyone that took horrible damages and lives that were taken we hope their families are ok its worse to me knowing how this hardly ever happens in australia it sucks for places like texas, and well all the USA that hurricanes take.

this apartment complex called standard apartments in clearwater got completely flooded and everyone had to get evacuated out, there are people sitting outside under trees, some crying because they lost everything. It could really help if the ibp helped knowing you guys have a emotional affection towards people who get effected by hurricanes.

I live in St Lucie County hardest hit County in Florida unfortunately and I 🙏 for all of you guys on the West Coast of Florida. St Lucie County we had a whole bunch of tornadoes our St Lucie County Sheriff's Office Compound where they store all of their police cars etc. it was all destroyed as well as gas stations and homes. It was all the way around sad to see even on the West Coast. St Lucie County is on the East Coast sort of. All of the houses here got messed up by tornadoes as well as businesses!!! Glad to see you guys were safe. I cant believe the damage of 2 different ways storm surge on the West Coast and on the East Coast was tornadoes. Glad to see you guys and your family are ok through this storm. I was born in South Florida and never saw these size tornadoes here nor as many. Have a great and safe day guys.

Just glad most people are safe. I live in Canada and hurricanes are rare. We hear about your storms a lot but none seemed worse than this. Bless all in Florida and stay safe
