This is so romantic to be snowed in together. I love snow and windy weather One safety thing is if you are in a car don’t let the exhaust freeze up so that the fumes are going back inside the car
Yeah.....former mechanic here, that isn't how that works. Excessive backpressure will stall the engine but the exhaust pipe is outside the car and does not blow exhaust inside the car, especially since they're outside.

Such warriors, congrats! In the late 80's; my guy & I had got caught 2 hrs inbetween Golden & Revelstoke, BC rockies; with not one gas station, convenience store, hotel or rest stop within 2 hours; in a blizzard just like this; on a motorcycle!!! 10-11k feet elevations; trying to drive inside the very few truck tracks at NIGHT, since few travelled during blizzards ... We had our thermals; leathers, rainsuits on & as he scraped the bike windshield all the way. I will never forget how devasting cold we were for 2 solid hours .... pulling our travel trailer. It was too windy to pitch our tent. I simply pretended the sting on my face was a sunburn & that we were actually laying in the sun. Somehow; we both managed to avoid frostbite; but was a trip I would never want to redo. LOL
Nothing pleasureable like the first step foot print on white powder mountain it is STUNNING VIVID that fresh memoir always stays in your heart. Long before many years have passed I still remember, on snowy day I was refraining to drive plow right through on US 50 to Lake Tahoe. I surely am to tell it is lovely memoir in my life time. At this video, you two look lovely and beautiful~~~ Thanks, Thump up
From an old Italian winter camper: buy cellophane flowers and put it around all the windows, in a single sheet. The cellophane glues itself on the glass and creates a gap, preventing the wind and snow from becoming ice, it also has a slight ability to prevent the cold from entering. Furthermore, if you go around the vehicle with a single sheet, also close the slots of the door and tailgate seals, greatly reducing the thermal bridge. If you have even synthetic blankets, if you put them on the roof before turning the cellophane, you can block them with the sheet. With the snow that rests on the blankets an insulation is formed, under the snow there is usually zero degrees, but the blanket can increase the heat a lot, because it keeps what comes from inside. In the morning, roll up the cellophane and you can reuse it very well. If you want you can also lay the sheet on the tire tracks, so that the next day you just have to lift them to remove all the snow of the night. Finally, if it's really cold, use cellophane to cover the tires and the air under the car. allows for less heat exchange. You could also choose colored cellophane to allow you to show your car better or, on the contrary, to mask it. - - - - - sensitive topic, I in the camper have, under the driver's seat, this accessory connected to a 3-liter bottle, because, as happened to you, there are situations in which you cannot go to the toilet or you cannot go out, and the tube is long enough for the lady next door to use it. lcpshop.net/product/portable-toilet-emergency-urinal/
Winter content is great. Somehow you were able to pass the feeling of cold when you outside of the car and feeling of comfort and warmth when you inside. Thank you.
I loved this vid ! Cooking on a stove whilst standing in a snowstorm was insane - even watching it made me feel the cold. Great photography. Appreciate the effort you went to take the camera out into the cold.
As a camper I have learned to prep most of the food before hand. Cut it all . Pattie out meat. Season it all. That way all you have to do is cook and eat. Emergency like this have a small bucket with a lid. That way u can p inside. Then crawl over seats instead of opening doors . Cant wait to see more videos. Live and learn YALL. ✨✌️❄️
How romantic it looks snuggled up in a truck with deep snow outside.......reality is harsher. Laughter and smiles are the cheering warmth . Love you both
Those air shots were absolutely incredible. The beautiful landscapes you showed were so beautiful. The clean snow on those trees, you could see and feel the chill but also the sense of beauty your smack in the middle of. The morning looked so calm and serene compared to the previous night. The crazy winds, the wind chills had to be fierce. I've been in -50° wind chills and it BURNS the skin. When it's snowing and the wind is that harsh, it's like little pieces of glass pelting your face. That blanket looked so cozy and comfy. I love fuzzy, fluffy, or poofy comforters. Wrap up like a cocoon with only your eyes peeking out occasionally. GREAT VIDEO!

You two deserve a medal, working with what you got ,despite cold miserable weather, good for you hope you get to be cosy and warm in a place more suitable for off road excursion,s
As a camper and caravans of man years can I make a couple of suggestions? Keep some pee bottles in the van (including a she-wee) and find a way to be able to cook indoors!
I'm from Miami Florida. Can you believe I have never seen snowfall. I've seen snow on the ground but I've never been in a snow storm. One thing on my bucket list is sitting in a cabin in the mountains during a snow storm sitting in front of a fire place drinking hot chocolate during Christmas. Very simple but I still haven't had a chance to experience that.
Hey Guys!! We have been following your adventures for awhile so we thought we would introduce ourselves. We love meeting fellow RU-vidrs and explorers. We are from WI but will be going full-time in a tent in about 16 months. Cannot wait to explore the PNW... I am not a big fan of winter camping but you guys make it look fun! We enjoy your adventures and are looking forward to more! ~ Terry and Terry
Gonna be smelling those burgers every time you get in the car. A folding alum table on the side shielded from the wind would have resolved it. You guys are great.
I usually keep Jone hand warmers and chemical heat packs in my car for winter emergencies. My feet always get cold first no matter what, and being generally cold chews at my sense of mental well being. I gotta have some source of warmth during the cold season. That's just me though.
Just a couple of things that I’ve learned working outdoors in the cold and snow. 1. Wear a hat and scarf, preferably wool. You’ll be much more comfortable and have drier braids! Also, I always wore a vest between my clothes and coat. It keeps your chest&back area warm, and with the right layering, you won’t need to sleep in your coat. 2. Get used to “goosing” your car if you think it can’t get through (snow, mud, sand, swamp, etc.) And once you get it going, don’t slow down until you are all the way through. I never thought to use a camp stove like yours . I would make sandwiches (ham, cheese, cold cuts, salami, whatever you like) I would wrap them in double layer tin foil, then make a tiny fire to have a nice warm meal. In winter, brought a thermos of soup. :
2 matching hiking staffs and a tarp about 8x10 and cordage tie the tarp off the roof rack like a lean to, on the side not being hit by the wind. Use the shelter to keep from getting blow back snow. Helps keep from getting wet. Just saying should help keep ya warmer. Lucky your partner found it amusing. My wife up in Fairbanks had no humor about the winter weather at -70 F. JMHO
You should try northern Minnesota. We have great weather... for skiing, hockey, snowmobiling, ice fishing, etc. and if you don't freeze to death, you're lucky. You've heard that song... "when it's springtime in Alaska, it's 40 below?" Well, it often gets that cold or colder in northern Minnesota.
My 31 year old son is that way about snow. If he knows it's supposed to snow he will get up all through the night and go look out the door. He's done this since he was really little. 💚🐾🐾
I’m in my sixties, but I live in a city now that never snows, but if I did I would be doing the same.I left the uk 43 years ago but I miss the snow so much.
In india quite opposite .we make coconut leafbranch kid house in sand in summer. To avoid heat wind. And sleep inside with a same leaf green branch to get more cold on dry mud
Same here! iam 34 and i LOVE snow.. if it start snowing at night i can stand and just look out the window. I have two kids now and they are just like me when it comes to snow :) The only downside is that it dosent snow all that much where i live anymore. ( southern Sweden )
Depends on how it falls! Light powdery snow after a blizzard is almost weightless! However snow blown by the wind can be very hard like ice. Thanks for watching!
Y’all need to upgrade to a van? How did the interior roof not burn? I’m impressed. You crazy kids-lol! I thought I was courageous, living ‘round the world via military, but cooking during snowstorm INSIDE a CAR? Color me impressssssed!!!
We would love a van! Just out of the price range for now haha, and the heat spreads out pretty well from those little stoves, especially in the cold. Thanks for watching!
@@teabagmcpick889 Lets see you sleep in just a tent in-15 degree weather at night without freezing to death because EVERY SINGLE WINTER CAMPING VIDEO THEY USE HEATED TENTS
@@williamlee7482 THERE'S NO NEED TO SHOUT. If you think RU-vid winter camping videos are giving you proper information on how to camp in very cold weather, stay at home.
The whole of the U.K comes to a complete standstill because of 2 inches of snow, and youse guys take a front wheel drive suv up a mountain in 2 feet of snow ⛄️ Brilliant 🙌 let’s have some more snow blogs….ATB Mac 🍻
Pick up hot water bottles, they're cheap. When you go to your camp stove to cook, heat some water. Fill your bottles and tuck them up into your jackets so you can keep your core warm on extended stays outside. Young lady, the majority of your body heat escapes through your head. Put a wool hat on, even wet it will keep you warm and prevent heat loss. ( I'm an old school survivalist of 40 years. Hope this helps you. )
Every time you close the door when venturing out in the blizzard do you sometimes ask yourself where is the car key? Can't imagine what accidentally locking yourself out would be like :-/ haha
People think because a car gets cold when you crank the A.C. that it must stay warm... which is true, if your running the heater. But the floor boards of your car MIGHT be an 1/8 of an inch think, and that includes the carpet. Since running the motor in a snow storm to stay warm is a good way to monoxide yourself, I recommend a good mummy bag... maybe a couples mummy bag?
Made me shiver when you were cooking those burgers!🥶 But, I see why it was worth it...with the new blanket and then the clear & calm morning in it's spectacular splendor. I really enjoy your adventures! I vote for more!!!✌💞
Let's hope that's a rental vehicle splattering all that grease on the ceiling🤣😂! You guys need to invest in some nice warm hats! Another camping trip well done!!!
This was a Very good video and Beautiful nature. Thanks a Lot. Really enjoyed.looking foreward to more adventures from your Channel. Love all the snow.

Seriously...if you didn't set it up like that then this kid is the luckiest kid I've seen in a while. If hes not lucky than he's a brilliant freakin genius!!! She's adorable and I couldn't think of a better way to spend time than snuggled up like that with a beauty like her. I am old and yet I have learned something today. Gratitude young man. I see great things in your future. (And in ur video...lol). Love the channel...peace and harmony to you both ✌️
Amazing drone landscape shots! Incredible! Though you looked miserable at times, it looked like a great experience. Made me wish I was doing it. Where was that?! That was quite an early November snowstorm.
Not sure if you grew up in cold weather but you should definitely be way more bundled up than that to be outside for any amount of time. It will help immensely in conserving your energy and heat. Like gloves, hat, extra layers all over. You should be sweating basically.
