This is disgraceful. Your telling me, he faces execution, on the statement of this killer. Now what is going on here. No other evidence, just the say so, of the actual killer. And this stands up in court ?????

Matt Pannell: pressure from the public and the urge to punish someone for the crime, makes some overarchieving policemen to make false statements, make assumptions and rumours into facts. Sometimes they even let evidence diappear.

The death penalty is politically motivated by those who want to stay elected. If the opinions of the populace changes so wiil the politics behind it.

Just free the man. The absolute torture this man endured thinking he was about to die three times seems like punishment enough. Especially when he killed NO ONE, and was accused by the killer himself who then got a life sentence. How in the world does that work?!?! There are so many people in this situation who I wonder how are they able to sleep at night??

So the guy that ACTUALLY took someone’s life gets to live but the guy that did not kill someone is scheduled to die ?? That’s the bottom line , wether he planed it or not he did not take the life . So how’s that justice?? Daaa. lets keep the killer and feed him 3 times a day, house him, cloth him, give him medical treatment , tv , free workout for the rest of his life and kill the the person that did not actually kill anyone.. wow that makes since to smart people??

With this much doubt surrounding his innocence OR his involvement, the death sentence should be taken off the table and the sentence commuted to life imprisonment and the case re-investigated thoroughly.

I used to be an avid believer in the Death Penalty but now I sit on that proverbial fence. I know some people can never change and will always be raping murderers. However, the more I learn about how many innocent men have been released since the advent of DNA is one reason I am now on that fence.
@mperry1329
@mperry1329 7 лет назад
I agree, this really is a very sloppy case and with out true solid evidence and botched investigative techniques. The death penalty should be taken off the table and just to allow Glossip to serve his time. The reason that I do not say "release him" is because of the window incident when he replaces the window and does not enter the room where this murder has taken place after Sneed told him that he killed Mr. Van Treese. That is where I seriously question Glossip's innocence. It is a fouled case all the way around.

In a different situation, it would make sense, for example, a person on trial hires a hitman to murder a witness, both of them could and should be held responsible. In this case though, with no evidence, it should never have been brought forward.

The death penalty should only be in place or even considerable only is there is absolute clear evidence without a shadow of a doubt that the convicted is the criminal
@undergrounddojokeyboardcag701
I mean... a life sentence.. 30 years... 20 years... 10... 5.... should only be considered if there is absolute clear evidence without a shadow of doubt that the person is guilty. But we no longer follow that concept. Now, the overwhelming vast majority of people in prison would be out if we held our legal system to the standard is says it holds itself to. Instead, we've seen people given the death penalty when there is zero physical evidence, questionable circumstantial evidence and one single eyewitness and yes, im talking about a different case, the fact that this is not laughed out of court is a problem, the fact that the man was sentenced to death and it was carried out, is a notably bigger problem.

I can't understand how a man, to which evidence prove did not commit a murder, is being sentenced to death. I dont even think the death penalty should be there. Im from the uk, we dont have the death penalty, we dont have guns, and we dont have gun violence that kills. The worst people, the worst of them, they deserve to be severely punished. In my own opinion, this man should not be killed. Because thats what they do, kill people, guilty or not.
@jennaglitz6045
@jennaglitz6045 6 лет назад
I agree with stopping the death penalty but I'm glad I can defend myself. And I'm glad that murders in the US are often a quick gunshot wound, unlike the psychotic stories I hear about Europe (especially the UK and Germany) when they kill they SLAUGHTER slicing necks, limbs, genitals, practice cannibalism, torture, sodomy, long slow deaths... is it because they don't have access to guns, or because they're extra weird? The world may never know
@jennaglitz6045
@jennaglitz6045 6 лет назад
And even if they don't abolish the death penalty, it makes me sick knowing they have sentenced people who are innocent beyond a reasonable doubt or who lack hard evidence... if there's even a slight doubt there should be no thought of killing a human being when it may be an innocent being
@jennaglitz6045
@jennaglitz6045 6 лет назад
Tbh I don't see the difference between public lynchings and the DP. People love to talk about how progressive we are, how advanced and how great our judicial system is... meanwhile they acknowledge that old school lynchings, beatings, firing squad, etc were all too "cruel and unusual," but apparently telling someone they will die in X amount of years, dragging it out as long as possible, murdering them in front of loved ones and family, and sometimes even slip ups where they suffer immense pain or don't die... that doesn't seem like progress. It seems exactly the same as the barbaric practices we all criticise.

How the murder victim's widow can say that she'll find justice in the execution of a potentially innocent man is just astonishing, just as much as the fact that it appears to sway the decision of the court. Many of them don't really have the brains that they were born with, or an ounce of decency about them. I reckon that Susan Sarandon was probably correct the first time when she called the Governor of Oklahoma a horrible person, but because of how petty the Govenor likely is she's been forced to retract the statement even though she knows it to be perfectly true.😖

This is so wrong and sick. I cried my eyes out when I heard Richard had been executed, it's the most unjust and fucked up thing to happen to someone in a situation like this in a very long time. My thoughts and prayers and with his family, I'm so, so sorry.

I thought they're getting ready to try and give him another date because they've got 25 more they're trying to schedule since they resumed and executed John Grant and Bigler Stopher. I came back to find these videos because I'd read they're trying to give him another date.

I think its pretty clear what is happening here, he is hear on the word of a killer. The family dont want justice, they want revenge so badly they dont care if he was involved or not. This makes them just as callous as any murderer.

Its very unhuman for them to keep trying to execute him they failed the first time so let the man go

T M Nope, just human error. Death penalty is very wrong-but we need to get away from religion.

Of course they took a man's word for it who struck a plea deal. This version of justice is honestly one of the things I hate about living in Oklahoma.
