Dogs make me a better person because they teach me patience, they make me a happier person, dogs (and just animals in general) help me connect with more people, and without having my love of dogs I would never have discovered so many great channels (especially this one 😉) !!!

I’m 2 weeks out from getting my puppy and I’m so thankful for all of these videos to get me prepared! Would you recommend getting two separate crates in the beginning, 1 for the bedroom and 1 for out in the living room for during the day? I wouldn’t mind doubling up on the training to introduce both crates but I don’t want to confuse the puppy in any way either

Annika Manalang if it’ll help you I absolutely will! Net: go slow. Allow the cat safe space/place to retreat easily if needed. Reward dog for ignoring. Let them sniff on either side of a closed door for several days at least. I often recommend have a leash on dog so you can grab easily and quickly if they start chasing cat (always monitor). Go slow 😍

Hi Rachel I have a question so I have been trying to train my puppy Anaya to walk on a leash but it's not going so well she refuses to go the way I say and she tries to go back home I have been training her on my driveway and when I try and put her harness on she rolls over and it's a big struggle please help me

I will be receiving my puppy in a few days. This video is very reassuring to me. I am concerned about walking outside as he will not have had all his shots yet. (will only be nine weeks old). I have a privacy fenced yard, never been any dogs there. I’ll make sure he stays very close to the house, not the fence and possible neighbor dogs proximity. Will that be safer than the street? If he’s vaccinated it should be good! If not just walk him in your yard. I also recommend to find a holistic vet, who is open to minimally vaccinating

Any dog can be extremely social and friendly as long as they are positively socialized and you bring them with you many places

Just go places that arent commonly socialized by other animals. As far as restroom brakes I'd go with your backyard or potty pads or grass pads

i needed this video. thank you! was legit googling what to do my puppys first day right before it uploaded. so okay. the first day we get him.. we dont get them until atleast 8 pm.. do i still do all this stuff at night. our bedtime is at 10 pm.

Do the best you can! That's all we can do as pet parents. There is no perfect answer, but just do your best. If you get your puppy that late, I would focus on having a calm and relaxed introduction to your home.

Alpha Wolf thank you so much, I’m sooo excited!! Sadly I couldn’t get a rescue as my brother has pretty bad allergies and all the ones we looked at didn’t seem to have lower shedding dogs. I live in England and generally there are lots of border collies and huskies which would just be awful for his allergies!😭😭 when I move out though I really hope to rescue my next dog. We know a really kind and reputable Labrador owner who decided to have breed his Labrador with a poodle so we’re having a mini labradoodle! I’m very excited but not sure he’ll be so little from the size of his paws🤣🤣

Hello! I absolutely add fresh raw foods to their meals. Every foster is different, but yes most eat raw :) And I love that video idea ( but I love more that you care to see my Bentley Moose 🥰😍)

GREAT question! You can walk the pup in your front yard or back yard, just getting them outside first thing (in my opinion) is key!

What are top 3 treat recommendations for 8 week old puppies. Also do you recommend greenie bones? I want to make a rice heat pad for his crate. Have you tried one of these?

That's a tough one... so many things I recommend! ha. Specifically for 8 week old pups, I would start introducing raw foods into their diet (assuming they're eating solids now). Secondly, contrary to some, it's not too early to start training! Obviously keep it light, short, and fun - but I have fostered 8-10 week old puppies that were easily able to learn basic commands. As long as I made it a game with lots of play and reward, it tired them out and enriched their day. Finally, you can start potty training now - they're young, and they can't hold their bladder young - but starting now will make life easier later... I sadly don't have experience with a rice heat pad :( I linked some videos below that hopefully help you!
