Been playing rust long before I switched to tarkov and started watching your videos. Refreshing little change of pace. Love your content man keep it up
This was amazing and made me want to start playing rust again I have around 1000 hours because I got bored of the game but now there’s a lot more content and I’m ready to get back in. I really enjoy watching your tarkov vids and now your rust vids you got me into tarkov and you got me back into rust. Thank you! Keep up the amazing work!
This is the first time of me watching anything Rust related and definitely would like to see some more of Rust PRODUCED BY YOU. Love your style of video editing and been watching your EFT videos for quite a while now. Keep up the good work!
I will for sure. Rust is my #2 game at the moment. There's a lot going on with Tarkov now/soon but when the upcoming patch hype dies back a little, I'll be hopping back on Rust here and there
Dude this was awesome. Very refreshing from the normal content. i only have like 40 hours in rust but i dont play at all but this makes me want to try out a solo run. Very informative and its nice to see someone who doesnt build full bases in 10 seconds. Keep uploading rust content!! 😊 I'll be bere to watch the journey
Awesome work man, loved it from start to finish. When you put the Hat on at the start and zoomed in.. then grabbed the gas bottle.. I expected you to zoom in again with it in your hands.. (insert gas bottle bomb) teehee. :)
Ha, thank you! It's not a game I would say is 'easy', but if you do get into it, I'd choose a low pop server so you can focus more on learning the fundamentals and get your first base built without worrying too much about constant PVP until you're ready
@@SwampFoxTV Thanks for the tip. I meant you make it easy to follow along and understand the game for the viewer. An excellent quality in all of your videos.
Man I really love your rust content. I don't have the time or energy to play the game myself, something run based like tarkov is a much better fit for me, but so much other rust content is just memes and mic spammers. Its honestly kinda relaxing watching you just vibe and progress, and the effort in the editing is noticed. Cheers!
Love your content . One tip if you are in the middle of trees hit them all within 1 hit of falling ,then hit them all once to collect them fast .hitting trees is less audible than them falling!
Yeah that's a good tip. I did that once in a while but found myself getting too lazy to set that up. Need to get in the habit to amp up my game for larger servers
Always love the content no matter what game you happen to be playing. Your editing style and voice over really make the vids entertaining, Swamp. Looking forward to the next vids take care buds.
In my 1000 hours as a solo in rust I've never played a low pop server. I've always been a masochist and tortured myself with high pop low survival rate. I should try this out. Thanks for another great video.
Happy to see that you had such a good start in Rust! With me, it's more or less just getting killed and losing about 90% of the fights I get into. Progress is always super super slow and I get to revolvers at best every time. Maybe one day I'll get a good start lol. This vid also reminded me of how good barrels are if you just farm them up so I'll be doing that next time I play
Ha, yeah give it a try! If you're solo and having trouble, you could try a lower pop server too; maybe 50-100 so you get plenty of player interaction but not so much that you're just getting killed every 2 seconds
I appreciate it! This was fun to make. I actually had been watching Rust for over 2 years before actually playing it myself - I think it's just interesting and makes story lines unfold somewhat more naturally than other games can
you're a very skilled solo player, all hands down to you, your base got to look so good and work so good in the end. You aims are godly too :D good job
as a rust player with over 2000 hours, you did pretty good. this reminded me of when i was knew and i kinda miss it. ps, thanks for all of your tarkov tip videos! really gave me a headstart with those
Hey thanks! I've watched a lot of Rust but not played much, so I had a vague idea what I should be doing, just hadn't actually done most of it yet haha
I literally only play rust and EFT as my two main games and I think it’s a good combo, hardcore Tarkov and then sometimes I’m not up for the hardcore side of gaming so I jump on rust and enjoy my time a solo. Rust is ultimate chill vibes if played correctly
Bloody nice play @Gas Station, you got rich off that player. Also i noticed @25:52, with the jack hammer, you just tap it once on the mouse, like a one, two action on the ore. to save durability of the jack hammer.
Hey, what happened to your base in the Day 1 Rust video? Did you restart your progress or did you abandon that base? I don't play the game or fully understand it but I really like watching the gameplay.
Hey thanks. Most Rust servers reset every week or two, so we're often starting from scratch each time. I find the 'early' game right after a server wipe to be the most fun when everyone has almost nothing and has to build up
I could give it a try. I'm used to 1800dpi for Tarkov and maybe I need to lower it a little for bow/early wipe in Rust, we'll see but I'll keep the tip in mind to pay better attention next time
Thanks for watching them! There's a duo on the playlist as well with a different art style. I have two more Rust videos already recorded that will be out in a few weeks as well
Ha, it is, though like Tarkov you have to be willing to roll with the punches and lose sometimes. It's good fun when you get the hang of things for sure. I love the base building and the PVP
Thank you, I definitely will. I'm a bit behind after moving irl and have a few Tarkov projects to do first, but as we grow the channel forward, I want Rust to be my other main game here
my #1 tip. if you are serius about getting into rust. start playing on UKN servers and learn the spray patterns of the guns. it will help you SOOOO much
That's a good tip; I'd heard the spray patterns can be practiced in this game. In Tarkov, which is what I've mostly made videos for so far, that's not so much a thing so I didn't think of it
@@SwampFoxTV yeah, if you get good at shooting. the game will just become much easier over time. will still lose from time to time. but sence you are a tarkov player, you know that even the best sometime go on losing streaks. just take the game with i pinch of salt and you should be good man. hope you enjoy it
Your doing way better then me when i first started. I got bullied into the dirt. This was before all the updates and junk. I remember having the best time by playing with friends and i also got tons of experience that way too. especially in terms of fighting. i remember i speared one guy and killed his other two friends with a shot gun i picked up from the dead guy. It only had two shells in it too lol. I was completely naked as well. Probably my best pvp achievement. i really havent played much because it got depressing playing solo. Probably the servers i was playing on didnt help too. But the game seems way more manageable now. Getting guns doesnt seem impossible anymore for a noob solo.
Yeah I think the game is in a good place overall. For a newer solo, lower pop servers help, and yeah playing with friends makes most things easier and progress faster for sure
I like these videos. Something a little more relatable than the GODS im usually watching 😅 Have been playing for 5 days, and already got 56 hours, lol! I really like my disability check 🤪
I have two Rust adventures already recorded. It's tough to find a time slot because Tarkov currently does best on my channel and it takes me forever to edit haha. I most definitely will be uploading at least the two more Rust adventures and taking it from there. Rust is my favorite game besides Tarkov right now so I really want to make the time to keep it going; just need to build up a little more momentum with it on YT to justify the time which I think will eventually happen
Hey thanks, I have another recorded that should be out in a week or two. I like to really take my time editing these especially as I branch my channel out into this newer game for me. Thanks for watching!
Some tips for you: 1. Don't join a server 2 days after wipe as a beginner. It just makes the game more frustrating and everybody will be higher geared than you. Groups will already have scrappy cars and rhibs so all the beginner monuments will be looted including cards making it a lot harder to progress efficiently. 0-10 hours after wipe should be the ideal time to start. 2. I understand you probably got some of your playstyle off of rust youtube, but I really wouldn't try to collect much more than stone wood and cloth before you have a base up. Get a basic bow to defend yourself while you set up a starter and kill animals for furnaces/better armor. Snowballing is not something a new player should attempt at the start. 3. Your build spot could have been a lot better. As a solo, building close to both green and blue monuments in the snow is the best spot for solos because there are no fresh spawns in the snow meaning fewer doorcampers grubs and random nakeds, Snowmobiles that let you travel to key locations at quick speeds without much to maintain, and tons of nodes. Avoid ice lakes and you will be good building in this type of location. (By the way, about those doorcampers, place a fireplace in your airlock and whenever you plan to leave light it. If you are at 100% comfort it means somebody is outside in front of your door!) Don't use supressors often (unless silent explo raiding). Their effect is not worth the damage hit, especially when raiding with loud explosives. Stay away from nearly all barrel mods other than muzzle boost on some guns. As a solo try placing more sleeping bags and going out with nothing more often. If you want to check out a gunfight but know you will die, take a eeoka or db and try to see if you can grub some kits. If the pop 250 or under try running small oil often. It's an easy way to get your hands on late-game guns to research early game and is one of the easiest monuments to defend as long as you have decent aim. If you want to live on the edge and kill people doing oil for even more loot, put the frequency "4765" on an rf pager and leave it in your boxes. When someone tries to hack the crate, it will start making noise. Avoid trash-talking larger groups. They usually have enough explosives to decide on raiding you if you even look at them funny so make sure you don't piss them off over voice chat. Also PLEASE USE graphics.vm_fov_scale false in F1 console it will make your viewmodels look a lot nicer. You helped me succeed in tarkov so this is the least i could do.
