Not decorative shutters, working shutters, even if you never use them to stop bullets, they can still be used to stop wind blown objects, hand thrown objects. The secret to kevlar body armor is that it's not taut, it moves freely with the impact, so free hanging kevlar drapes is an adequate defensive measure. I am a federal police officer in the U.S. With that having been said, I can assure you, It's not going to take me a week for me to say the hell with this job when SHTF. Family, will ALWAYS come first!!! And, I can also assure you that there is NO WAY IN HELL I'm going door to door to confiscate shit. I am a firm believer in your inherent right to protect yourself, and the ones you love. And, I believe in a constitutional government. So, if/when that goes away...then I won't be a cop anymore.

It will be complete anarchy after a week. Law Enforcement will go home to protect their own. Most areas will be left to defend/protect themselves.

exactly one year ago you posted this, I'm almost 100 days in the wilderness (satellite internet),(solar powered RV)!! Been a Gravy Train so far, no problems but I've also ran across zero people so far! I'm a 50 year old man. My profession was a building engineer any older houses will have anywhere from 25 to 75 gallon water heaters. So, in a grid down situation, whatever water you have in your water tank, will be there when you need it. I don't think most people think about that. If you have a newer home, you probably have an instant hot water heater. That will do you no good. Just something to think about.

We are a bicycle ride from hurricane Harvey ground zero. Our property sustained some damage but we were fortunate compared to others. I returned after 24 hours to what most resembled a war zone. Destruction everywhere, no power, no phones, no internet... nothing. Being in Texas everyone was armed so we saw no social disorder (many guns make for polite citizens). My EDC were a side arm and a tactical light. I never had to draw a weapon but drew my light dozens of times a day. A good light and extra batteries is vital. Water was a major concern for many but our well remained out of flood water and works with our generator. Communication was most important. I'm a ham licensed operator and got a voice patch to family almost daily. I keep some long wire antennas for both 80M and 40M bands that are easy to set up. Communication is a major link to sanity. Great topic.

Have a bicycle. Quiet, fast, no gasoline needed.

I would suggest that everyone keep their clothes that are too big...or buy some if you need. During the depression people who fit in their clothes were raided for being food hoarders. Take a look at some of the old photos. No mater what your size this gives the impression of lack of food. This would work even more if it lasts longer than three months. Good download!

I'm glad I taught my daughter's how to garden hunt fish and preserve food. Wasn't a matter of prepping..im on a small farm have been my whole life I suggest people learn now from farmers..classes... books..etc..start now

Always remember noise and light discipline. Put on all your gear and jump up and down. If it makes a noise, secure that shit or expect to get shot. NO SMOKING AT NIGHT..EVER. No fires at night unless you are in an enclosed area or you have area supremacy. NEVER ever talk above a whisper at night. Travel only at night, hold up during the day. Have a plan of egress for anyplace you stay, even if its for the night/day or rest period. Stick to the shadows, never run unless you need to. Always watch a road for a couple hours before crossing it. Cross only at night (if possible) Never highlight yourself on ridge line. If you are light skinned, or have oily complexion rub your face with soot/dirt/mud anything to break up the outline and profile of the human face. When scouting ahead with binoculars never look towards the rising/setting/noon sun. IF YOU HAVE TOO, cover your lenses with cardboard with slits cut in them to see by or be in a deep shadow. If you are trying to get home, get home without confrontation if possible. Be like a ghost or a wisp of smoke at night. NEVER draw attention to yourself. Fight only when cornered and fight to win at any cost. Fight dirty first and foremost. Never shoot to wound, always shoot to kill. If you are within 20 feet of an assailant and they have their weapon holstered, CHARGE THEM with your knife if you don't have your weapon already out. Unless they are a world champion quick draw shooter, you will almost always win the foot race. Outside of 20 feet, well you better hope you saw them first and have your weapon at the ready with a round chambered and your safety off. Move as quietly as possible, think about every foot placement, noise travels far when there is no other back ground noise. Always keep positive attitude. Embrace the suck and deal with it. Fear and panic will kill you quickly. SLOW DOWN and take your time during movements, have your head on a swivel. Be hyper vigilant. Nothing says you can't be scared, just don't let it consume you.

PRO TIP: Leave high density areas now. It's our only certainty.

One thing not really considered when speaking about SHTF medical is electrolytes. We can store bottled gatoraide type stuff as well as powdered electrolytes for the bug out scenario. If we get sick we will need to have these in our preps.

I just purchased a harvest right freeze dryer and instead of throwing away leftovers I'm freeze drying them for future use. We are running out of places to keep food preps I'm making. Instead of looking for a 12 pound turkey for Thanksgiving, I got the biggest one I could find and turned the leftovers into preps.

Maintain dental hygiene. The last thing you want in a grid down situation or SHTF is an abscess or a tooth that needs to be filled. Take care of things now or asap if thats the case now. Otherwise always brush and floss and stock up on such items !!!

In the dollar stores they sell these cheap window/door alarms. Have a bunch of them to stick on places that you don't want to be touched and nobody expect that can be secured, as small boxes of food or ammo. Keep some cards, non electronic games, books, activity books, paper and writing utensils at hand to keep you and your family busy, specially in the night shifts. Keep a storage of hard candy too, even if you are currently at diet. Those last a lot and is nice to have a treat in a stress situation [just don´t forget to brush your teeth!]. Great channel by the way. Not alarmist at the extreme and show you how to deal with neighbors.

I would suggest using the solar powered motion detection lights outdoors around your property. Harbor freight sells them, Dollar stores sell the solar pavements lights for, yeah, a buck apiece, etc. Use your dehumidifier for clean water, we do, a few gallons a day.

Live as if you’ve been told that the power outage is tomorrow. Raise livestock, garden extensively etc

Excellent summary, @Canadian Prepper! Most people, I think, forget about *sanitation* . From LIVING OUT IN the desert several times, for a month at a time each time, I can say the following from that experience: *your* *body* *will* *adapt* *if* *you* *let* *it*: *1* you can clean up with less than a liter, b/c your body will adapt if you let it; your body gets greasy quickly right now, in large part because it has to replenish what you constantly wash away; *2* *DON'T* *USE* anti-microbial (aka germicidal, anti-bacterial) soap (incl lye) on your body (incl hands most of the time, but *especially* "sensitive areas") as it kills almost all bacteria, and the smelly harmful ones will grow back fastest, getting better at it each time you clear the slate (exceptions: at/ immediately surrounding the site on your body of a bacterial infection, or at the direction of a knowledgeable healthcare worker)...look up what even Patriot Nurse and the CDC say about antibacterial soaps if you don't believe me; *3* sweating for a month outdoors in the desert without washing your hair will leave it salty and a bit dusty, but not greasy or stinky (ymmv, but I've never seen this not be true); *4* WAG BAGS--they're legit and safe and sanitary and high-capacity, but finite, so use them when you don't have a better option like flushing or *properly* burying (note: composting is prob better, but DON'T garden with it unless you know EXACTLY WTFeces you're doing...unclean things are easy to get wrong and there will be no safety net); *5* females typically need to pay more attention to sensitive bodily sanitation than males, and therefor should not go more than a week without at least one *good* cleaning (bird bath/shower/whatever) ...consider having the males save up what's left of their allotted liter-or-less over a week to give to the females at the end of it, while also putting a portion of those savings toward a higher tier of savings, to be drawn from individually on a monthly basis; *6* people who shave (to the skin) under their arms or under their torso tend to have more problems with said skin, and bacteria entering the body at the shaving site; *7*change your dang socks and underwear, and wash your daggum hands after using the bathroom and before eating!

You should create a list or spreadsheet of items you think everyone should have on had to survive the first 100 days. Would be a great followup video from all aspects.

We as a community have bought almost the entire side of the mountain, we have built our homes, planted some fields and are raising goats, chickens, pigs and we have a horse for each person, we have set up our homes to afford the best security we can, most of us are family and Friends that at least 60% are veterans, farmers, people who know how to can foods, we even have a black Smith, we hunt and fish on our land and we don't tolerate anyone on our land that doesn't belong, my son is a gunsmith, his mother in law is a nurse and my son in law is a veterinarian, we have people that are in the trades also we have our own Well, we have well maintained septic systems and there are two streams with fish in them and there is a pond that is fed by one of the streams, plenty of wildlife here which we are not hunting or fishing our property yet we will save that for shtf.

we are in very rural NB , there are not many people here that are prepared. We lost power for 17days a few years ago after an ice storm. Nobody thinks our hand pump on the well is crazy anymore .

One of the things I've never various preppers mention adding to their supplies are things that would be beneficial for mental health in a long term catastrophe. Like a deck of cards, a trivia game, puzzles ect. It would definitely make staying indoors for 3 months more bearable!!

A hot water tank holds anywhere from 25 to 100 gallons of clean water. There's a water spigot at the bottom of most tanks you can hook to a garden hose. When the power goes out and the people start leaving the area, the tanks in the homes around you can be a good source of clean water for awhile.

Have PAPER maps of both your city and surrounding countryside.

I’m by no means as full of prepper knowledge as the Canadian Prepper, but I have a good suggestion for y’all.It builds on getting to know the community.I’d suggest, or what I will do, is have 2 sets of basic items for your neighbors.Maybe an extra fire extinguisher.That way if there is a neighbor that has a fire,but not extinguisher ,you can help them out.Then that would definitely raise your relationship with them. Just have an extra set of basic items( nothing crazy like prepping items to not attract attention to yourself)that you could lend a neighbor. I know y’all probably already know that or maybe this is useless, but the idea came to mind and thought I’d share it with y’all.

This reminds me. I need to replace all my dead solar yard lights and stock up some extras because you can bring a few indoors for emergency lighting and put them back out in the morning.

What I would recommend is for people to stay on the good side with their neighbors. So many people don't neighbor with those who live nearby. If you have an on-going feud with one or more of your neighbors, what do you think will happen when times get tough? If you live in a community where they have bars on the entrance doors and windows, you're already at a disadvantage. If your neighbors have build Fort Apache style fences between their homes, you're at a disadvantage already. If someone new moves into your neighborhood, make the effort to introduce yourself to them and extend a hand of greeting. Your best defense against break-ins and looting after it all goes South is having a couple of good neighbors who keep any eye on your place when you're gone to the store. It doesn't cost you anything to wave, using all of your fingers, when you drive past your neighbor's house and you see him standing in his yard.

Do a round of the neighborhood saying you will work for food or exchange anything you can for food... should get suspicions down a lot.

1st prep: Get out of debt; 2nd prep: Prepare for 3 months without power by stocking up food, water, security items, communication devices, power storage items, make plan to either bug in or out3rd prep: build food and water storage up to six months, buy seeds, start getting silver in 1 ounce coins, start making your house defensible, learn how to garden and do basic medical4th prep: continue to build food and water storage up to 12 months, have cash available, get prepared for water filtration and sanitation5th prep: remember to prepare first for stuff that is likely to happen in the near future and build on that

We live in a rural area with well and septic and lots of land. 1) solar generator to run the well. 2) Air rifle for small game hunting (they are effective and pretty silent.)

Just putting some survival tips here when the SHTF 👇 I just wanted to expand on your point about how important it is to create a community of people you can trust because community is key to any long term survival. Having said that, here are a few other things to think about: Deceit is your friend when it comes to security:- 1/ where possible create hidden ‘look outs’ around your main ‘house’ that provide the best view of that house - those who seek illicit entry will expect you to be inside that house not outside - those approaching at night in stealth are not your friends - shoot to kill 2/for those who threaten to take your preps by force - provide them with poisoned food and /or beverages - cyanide is quick and effective. 3/any material you have on hand can be used to decrease the penetration power of firearms -board up windows and doors inside and outs and fill the cavity between with sand or cardboard or towels or any other materials at hand - create sandbags out of your sacks of chicken feed and dog kibble, stuff pillow cases with towels, fill metal and plastic garbage cans and garbage bags with dirt and gravel and stack against interior walls. Same with cardboard boxes. 4/a detached out building - a garage or shed- lined with ‘sandbags’ can provide an excellent secondary location from which to flank intruders on your property. 5/in terms of increasing your personal ‘value’ get training in CPR and firearms and keep your certificate handy. Encourage your loved ones and friends to do the same.. And do not hesitate to ‘embellish’ your skill set - lying can help you protect yourself and your preps - preps you have had the foresight to stockpile. So tell those who would harm you whatever they need to hear I.e. that you are a trained paramedic, nurse, horticulturist- you get the idea. I'm from South Australia. Last winter an unusually severe storm knocked out part of the power grid resulting in no power for several days - longer in some areas. I grew up in a rural area where power came from a generator and the only drinking water was collected and stored in tanks. I thought that living in the CBD would mean I would be almost immune from infrastructure breakdown but it takes very little for order to deteriorate. Because my brothers and I grew up learning to be self sufficient I had loads of candles, plenty of food and gas for cooking. Winter has just arrived in Australia and even though I was more prepared than most, I started watching prepper videos for tips on being more prepared. For me, these vids are the best along with ethical preppers and some others with non violent sensible advice. Thank you for taking the time to make and post them to youtube.

Don't talk about what you have

I just finished planting my garden. Tilling ,weeding, seeding, etc. I lost 10 lbs fast in a few weeks. Had to up my cal intake.

Great video! The first couple days will be OK and probably even a bit fun as people are partying and thinking this is so cool. Then after day 3 or 4 when they're out of food and getting scared it'll get hairy. Scary stuff!

In the last 18 months, all of my immediate family has moved within walking distance(less than 1 mile) of each other, have made a plan to get there, keep our tanks full and extra gas, have done dry runs of walking to/from each others homes during lockdown for exercise. Have started tracking the weather with farmers almanac and figuring out which wild plants are edible in our area.

The common denominator is people... Get the hell away from the major city hell holes. The more people the more danger, suffering and drama..

If unattended, your livestock can become a target of theft. I have seen (and suffered from) Strangers enter empty lands and chop trees. Desperate people may steal chickens, kill cows, chop woods by violating your property. These things happen regularly in ordinary days, not just SHTF situation. Having guard dog, or placing traps may be one of the solutions. One or two cannot control entire field everytime. As you sleep, enemy makes plans.

Great Video. So much to cover. I imagine those living in the countryside (depends on which season) who are not prepared will walk/ride bikes to larger cities expecting the government to have food drop places. (Even though cars run after a sun EMP, gasoline will run out.) No meaningful food drops can occur if it involves the entire continent. For those living in the city (without gravity fed water supply), after 3 days many people will go to the country side for cleaner water and hope farmers might have food. In the process of leaving their shelter (house, apartment) these rural or urban people will be exposed to the weather, heat, or cold. So that stress added to their cuts and scratches and hunger will permit skin infections that worsen rapidly. Now, add in that most won't take the time to boil river water. Add in that most aren't use to walking 5 to 10 miles a day, etc. etc. So I argue that we will be surprised how fast things deteriorate. By 2 weeks there will be plenty of sick people and long before the 100 days I can see 20 to 40% of unprepared people dead and dying. Then, those without food, though they boiled all water, avoided cuts and trauma, will still become weak and starve to death. By 100 days only those who had stored food and access to clean water will be ok. Gangs will have formed from big cities. To survive they will have to eat the people they kill. In the country side, some of those unprepared will survive by hunting people. All animals will be shot and eaten in the first few weeks of the EMP. So how could there be anyone else but those with food who prepared and those who are cannibals. The BIG QUESTION is by 2 to 4 weeks in to this EMP disaster is "do you involve your unprepared neighbors? Can you live with seeing them (young men, women, children) starve to death?" If it is the early Fall, and you have food for 4 for one year, and you bring in 8 neighbors (which can easily go to 16 and then 30), now you all starve to death by April. Though defense will be an issue, I think starvation and seeing so much suffering will be the most to psychologically deal with for most. The further you are from large cities the less likely you will deal with gangs. I can't think of any event in history that would cause so much starvation so fast. There were times in Russia during Stalin, when he starved out whole populations. Also, North Korea has had issues with periods of starvation.

Very informative video. As usual. Definitely have to know your element. Your environment. What I started doing was drilling myself. My grandfather once told me to,,, no matter what you do or where you go always have a contingency plan. If you're driving in your car and something happens (which we all pray it doesn't). If you have to make the decision to walk,, keep a backpack with some sort of snacks and water. Me being a trash man for 25 years,, I've learned first hand to always be prepared.

Loved the psychological notes and the improvisation mindset. I've read that for the average city dweller, it only takes 3 missed meals in a row for them to start looting. Couple of my ideas: -don't tell anyone about your prepping EVEN BEFORE SHTF. The reason is, as Canadian Prepper says, is when people are desperate they'll go after anyone who might have supplies. You don't want to be known as the crazy survivalist/prepper in your community, those same stories will come back in the form of a raid. -practice at the gun range. I know a serious prepper with an AR-15 and 4,000 rounds of ammo who has never shot it. After 2 years of going once a month here are some notes: -shooting a pistol accurately at a paper target 30 feet away isn't easy. I can do it 9/10 times into the outer bullseye - with no pressure, unlimited time, with good lighting and enough sleep. -Jams/misfires can be a serious problem. Some guns just can't handle some kinds of ammo. Problems go up with a brand-new gun and/or cheap ammo -make absolutely sure you can clear jams from your main survival piece -make absolutely sure your ammo is compatible with your gun. Suggested method is to shoot 200 rounds. If there are any jams or misfires, switch brands of ammo and try again. Only stock up on ammo that passes this test. Talk to your local gun enthusiast about a good, reliable piece and a high-quality ammo. My friend with teh AR-15 bought it all at walmart (.223) because he got a good deal. I hope he never finds out the hard way that cheap ammo jams. -ordinary pistol target rounds are not as good as hollow point rounds for stopping people. -learn how to shoot rifles and shotguns. Try using a wide variety of guns to get a feel for them, the common safety mechanisms, etc. If SHTF you might have to pick up an unfamiliar weapon. -think about realistic scenarios in which you may have to use a gun. Determine in advance whether you'll waste a precious bullet on a warning shot, or on a fleeing looter -realize that if SHTF you may have to kill people. Honestly, without internalizing this idea, a gun is almost worse than useless... just a deterrent in a 1v1 or small group situation. -MOST important: when it comes to using guns, no one 'rises to the occasion' like in the movies. Anyone short of an expert shooter with combat experience will perform FAR worse in reality than they do in practice. The rule is 1/2 as good as your best day of training. -stock up on vitamins. Getting sick is a no-no. Living off canned goods and twinkies there's a good chance you won't get enough vitamins. Especially for the 100 day scenario, you want to start taking vitamin C from day 1 -turn off ANY device that broadcasts a signal, especially wi-fi points, phone microcells, etc. If you have power and internet, someone with a phone can detect your signal and that makes you a target. -night vision goggles. Turn the darkness into an ally. The best looters/raiders will have them.

I am 71. My folks kept extra blankets, towels, tea bags, baking soda, salt, candles, etc. in the house. Everyone did. We all took Red Cross home nursing classes, too. When I see people buying only junk food and ready to eat food it worries me. Tina

Good advice to always keep to yourself your fears and concerns

Got my wife a bunch of solar powered patio lanterns and directional outdoor lights, new technology is great and could provide light inside or outside after charging all day, I always have picture hanging wire, mouse and rat traps that could be used to harvest squirrels, mice, rabbits, etc, even in the suburbs.

I won't even be able to prepare, I'm only a teen and my parents aren't even into prepping. I'm gonna have to make my own bug out bag.

Live in a rural location, have a wood stove, and hand saws to cut as gas will run out. Solar panel to charge deep cycle battery that will in turn power battery charger to charge AA's, AAA's etc. We have a farm (veg, not animal). We have backyard hens for eggs. We have enough candles and lantern oil to last years.

Great set of suggestions. A couple of points that may help. 1. Fires in the house not from electricity but from using combustion. As a result , carbon monoxide is a really big issue. Fires and possibly CO, at the neighbours may well impact you, especially in apartments, townhouses, duplexes or the urban cramped subdivisions. 2. For 100 days in the spring or summer, it might be a good time to load up everything and go camping. Avoid traffic lights.

Actual experience Maine, USA: 3 weeks, 4 days: (this happens at least once a year, the 3 week power loss), I have NEVER seen looting happen. Everyone is too concerned with keeping their own pipes from freezing. It gets very quiet, no humming from refrigerators/computers/fish tanks, or whatever you happen to run inside. You just hear generators outdoors. Gas stations run out of gas after 4 days or so, but they get redeliveries. Most people hear about the storm and stock up ahead, everyone has plenty of jerry cans if they have generators. People in apartments do have to evacuate. If you aren't familiar with Maine, we get into the -30F in the winter, that is before wind chill. Most people simply stay with family. Most people hunt in Maine already so most are armed and are survival trained - it was part of my school education. Upper Maine is so rural and has dealt with this kind of thing for such a long time that it's routine. In 2017, we were the number 1 state with the most power outages in the US (sadly). We are waiting on the release of the 2018 data.

Stay inside, cover windows, lock down the doors, listen to grundig radio, stay quite, lights out at sunset, perimeter watch overnight. Eyes open, no fear, be safe everyone.

2017 the US Virgin Islands had to back to back category five hurricane ‘s, I was without electricity for 85 days. Lots of lessons learned. Food and supplies were very difficult to come by during this time. I know that I can survive long-term without electricity due to preparedness, and lessons learned

I would suggest that if you have your own private septic system and are not hook up to a town line, you should have it pumped every 3 to 5 years (mine has held 10 years with no problems). This will allow you to go through 100 days with zero issues (pour water into your bowl and flush away. Sewage issues are real!! Great vid haus! Thank you for all you're doing for the community!!

For heat . I bought a Mr. Buddy heater with lots of propane. and a back up heater that goes on a propane cylinder.

I live in a very small rural community in the Scottish highlands by a loch, on which i have a self sufficient fishing boat.. Bring it on!

I personally would add 2 things to your list; add inflatable boat or raft… life jackets…. Recent years the flood activities had increased tremendously …deserts are turning into rivers and flooding various places where literally thousands of people are drowning…. Prepare at least 1 back pack ready to go full of water, energy bars, protein snacks, little comfort food with a lot of calories should last at least several days for every family member.

Great work you're doing! To address things like the "Gridlock" situation, I would encourage ppl to learn how to operate different vehicles (ESPECIALLY MOTORCYCLES). I myself took it to the EXTREME, extreme and learned how to fly planes. I know, it sounds crazy, but you never know. Keep up the good works!

Foraging for food and medicinal plants - to supplement my preps -- as long as it is not winter.

Start paying attention to flights and train traffic. For example where I live I watch a 747 fly northwest 10:30-11:00am every day.

In my estimation the key is gather into a central location like a church, gather supplies there, and distribute them to each person according to their needs. Trust is the most important thing, the second is organization. if you have those things you will have no problems protecting your preps and making sure everyone is cared for. There will be those who come in with nothing, but even those people can earn they keep by the work they do. If you are in a city you can have a group of scavangers who can find supplies, security, technology, care givers, people with medical training, and engineers who can build if needed. My church is the perfect bugout loation because it's in a remote location, it's big enough to support 1200 people. it has enough land to effectively farm and it's own unlimited water supply from an underground well. Everyone in my church knows if SHTF happens we gather there.

Hibernation ! Living in the countryside pretty much keep as low a profile as poss , taking long walks to remote camps , ( this will help with boredom/ stress ) when and or if needed , but mostly just laying low , using well water , rain water to flush (septic sewage ) . 1 million cals stored ( in preparation for Brexit clusterfuck , living in Scotland ) . Even i will not be immune to the madness of a SHTF situation .

I took a somewhat different approach. I just wanted to be totally self-sufficient, as opposed to preparing for some sort of disaster. I'm living it now. Some years ago I emmigrated to Canada and built an off-grid, 100% self-sufficient homestead, and sought out others to be a part of it. We are very remote. After passing the last sign of civilization (a power line), you'd still have to drive 34km through a forest to reach us. We've always grown more food, and generate more power than we need. We began with a 2 year (minimum) supply of stores in secure sea cans - foodstuff, medical, tools/parts/equipment, security and animal needs, etc. and maintain that in case of emergency. We are engineers, scientists, MD/DVM, and other specialists. I think of us as a micro community. We are obviously "prep'd" but that wasn't the purpose or intention. It is very rewarding, living as we do, and we work well together. Besides our routine of chores, we have plenty of time for our individual pursuits. That ranges from research, education, art, hobbies, Animal rescue, etc. I realize most people don't have the means to create such a place but everyone could be more independant and prepared for emergencies. I think it's also about taking more control of one's life and learning not to be so dependant on others, or the so-called system. It's sad that most people couldn't survive long from something as simple as losing their job. Instead of watching mindless TV every night, one could use the time to learn new skills and pursue more productive interests. That adds to the quality of one's life. Being secure brings a sense of joy. Every little step adds up. The homestead also proves that we can accomplish more working together (and it's easier) than competing individuals.

Having worked as an electrical lineman for many years and worked many storms, I've had the opportunity/misfortune of watching people beat ass for a gallon of gas... If nothing else, it has taught me to be prepared for others lack of preparation...

CP you don't miss much. You have a gift for thinking and getting people to think. It is the reason I love checking in here. You're a one man think tank. Had some thoughts tonite about SHTF and how to inventory situation, to take stock of what you have going for you and how to proceed from there. You're already all over it.
