Never a more beautiful man ,or voice, totally under rated, now in my humble opinion he's right in there with Freddie Mercury and Steve Perry and in no certain order ,
This is another Survivor classic that should have been a top 10 hit back in the day. Right up there with other rock tunes at the time. R.I.P. Jimi one of the greatest vocalist missed by many us Survivor fans.
We will never have another Jimi because each person is unique, he was unique, with an unmatched voice, sense of humor, humble, beautiful, I think he had it all, ever missed!❤
I will never forget the day I got to meet you - you were so graciosos to hold my stuff while I took photos of Eddie Money on stage. I still have the photo of us hugging - I will never forget - you have been a friend through the years - miss you so much. RIP

He was the total package. I've heard nothing but wonder stories. From all who were fortunately lucky to have met him. I would cherish that photo forever. They could bury me with it.2020 l just loved this memory of sweet Jimi.
Survivor were so underated. Along with their nailed on sound, and Jim Jameson's incredible, emotionally charged vocals.Without doubt one of the greatest bands of all time.Gonna keep you alive, Survivor!! (In England,at least!!).
I saw them in Concert with reo spedwagon and styx and they where so much better than both of them. Very underrated. And then jimmi died 2 years later. Awesome singer he was
Jimi was something special for sure. Record industry antics aside, this album was perfect for the time and era it was released. This shit should be on par with "Girl Can't Help It" and while I can't stand Journey comparisons, Survivor had that 1v1 with them in spades at this time period. I wish though that Jimi could have been exposed at a larger level as a vocalist; his versatility and tone was unmatched. I hope future generations can rediscover this stuff and discern something greater from it in the long run.
I've liked Survivor since 1982, but they are small time compared to Journey. Sorry. Also, "Raised on Radio" came out 2 years before this. Album sales speak for themselves!!
I am in awe of everything Jimi Jamison sings and not only with Survivor. Great CDs of his own. So missed. So happy he is being inducted into the Memphis rock and roll Hall of Fame October 12th 2023.❤
Maybe some day he could inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame; the Memphis induction was great and open to the public. Yes this song should have been #1 on the charts along with all their songs especially jimi jamison singing he had an incredible voice and damn good looks to go with it sing with the angels jimi we miss u.
Bottom line : These guys should of had a lot better promotion behind them ! They were up there with the best of the best bands. With Jimi's amazing powerful voice and Frankie Sullivan's playing and writing of songs including with Jim Peterik (keyboards) and the rest of the guys. They were a top band !
This man deserved to honoured so much more. There will never be another voice like this in the music industry. He was just plain awesome, handsome & so very talented❤ Just wish if his family/ friends/former colleagues would do more to upkeep his legacy. Even his website is inactive. He needs to be celebrated & inducted in the rock and roll hall of fame. Sadly it should have been done when he was alive.
I so agree Jimi,s voice was still so vibrant and still strong and electric all the way to the end. He still sounds so amazing . His voice didn't change like so many great singers of his error did. He still should be inducted into the rock and roll hall of fame. He should not be forgotten. He was much to good of a singer. I will always follow him and his music. Jimi deserves this and so much more.l wish I had the pleasure of meeting Jimi when he was still here. Into the next life l prey. Until then l see you in everyone.2020 forever ❣️😍.

Puff! This great singer died without the right and fair recognition... what a voice! So handsome... he was just my type, not the classic flesh and bones, vocalists from other bands in that time. 😋 Rest in heaven dear Jimi, you are missed by so many people. To us, you are one of the greatest...a leyend. 💕

Do you know that many artists try to remake songs, or cover songs and very few can do them justice and they suck at it badly. Autotune is not real singing.
First video ever for Kyle Woodring, their drummer for a few years. He was 21 at the time and went on to play with John Mellencamp, George Michael, Deana Carter, Dennis Deyoung and many others. Kyle died five years before Jimi, almost to the day. It's great to see this video and re-live the moment it hit MTV in 1988.

+Kirk Woodring Kirk does any of Kyles equipment or perhaps even this drumset or the bass drum heads remain? I met him at the Survivor show in Hanover park IL in summer of 1995, he was very friendly and was about the ONLY GUY who hung around after the shows. He also on the front of the stage banged his sticks against the bass players bass and played some kind of solo and it was awesome. I wish videos existed of this. Let me know if anything may exist of this great guy...
IMO Kyle had the deepest pocket of any Survivor drummer, and in this tune he is playing so free and easy. Wish I could have seen him in person. RIP KW.
Jimi Could have sung for anybody. Had he sang for someone like say...van halen, he would have made people not miss David Lee Roth as much. A true talent that will be missed by so many! Thanks jimi for making my 80's that much more special. God bless!

The 80s were a great time in music and Survivor was one reason for that. Definitely, one of my favorite bands from the 80s, next to Chicago and Def Leppard.
OMG I wish I had a time machine to go back in time back in the day people don't just write amazing songs but the equipment are all analog no stupid plug in crap! Everything's natural!

Back when songwriting and talent was #1. Bands and concerts were best during the 80's rock arena acts, stadium tours, and great live albums. Everything was soaked up, because we didn't know when it will be over. Well it was over in 1990's. Phil Collins might have been the great 90's band left worth to see, including Jackson Browne. That's about it.
Yeah, it's a shame the record wasn't properly promoted. All the band members will tell you it was Scotti Brothers Records management that had a hand in it. Something went down which is unfortunate because Jimi Jamison stated it was Survivor's best album, hands down.
Maybe it's just me but Survivor only seem to be known for "Eye Of The Tiger". I know that was the case with me untill a few years ago and I'm 48 YEARS OLD! Now I'm into Survivor AND Jim Peterek's new band ,Pride Of Lions. Why do AOR bands never get any airplay on radio stations? Well that's the case over here in Northern Ireland anyway. For me AOR is the best rock genre EVER!🎸🎹
This album is so awesome! The record company didn't work hard enough to promote it. Damn them! Jimi sang his heart out in this song and the others as well. People need to check out this whole album. The music & vocals....perfection!!❤👍 Over 1 million views!! Jimi Jamison lives on in his music😇
So great to see all of the people still listening to the amazing voice of Jimi Jameson. Everything he sang is so fantastic! Survivor had great songwriting and music. Jimi's Target, Cobra and solo CDs are the best too. 👏
This song was SO radio ready in 1988. This was a Top 40 hit for sure and could have led to a great tour that made this a platinum album...which it certainly deserved to be!
6-2-22 i have watched this about 30 times, cant get enough, and Jimi left us way to early, whata beautiful soul and love and happiness they had on the stage, HE WAS TOTALLY UNDER RATED, so sad !,
I found this song in 2023. What a voice, great band. There can be so much feeings and emotions in real music. Thank you Jimi - in my eyes one of the best rock singers in time. Rest in peace 😢

Great song And great voice. Did not know this before it was played recently on a local Rock Radio Station. And i have to confess being 70 years old. And never heard it before.
