Chet was so bad, but I felt so bad for him during the challenge where he was tied. Dude got flipped and slammed into boards face first. Of course he’s gonna slow down after that 🤷♀️
I dont feel bad for Chet at all, he was leisurely walking in that earlier clip when they were racing the favorites, and later he wants to quit the game. Cant feel bad for someone like that, when so many people want to play the game but never will
@@MikeGlasses I'm not sure which is worse, that you wrote that or that at least 6 people agreed with that. Survivor has a terrible record of nearly killing their contestants and not thinking about player safety. In Nicaragua, Purple Kelly was the "hot girl" and her wardrobe was determined for her. It was cold and miserable and after nearly a month, she quit. She quit because producers viewed her sex appeal as more important than her well-being. There's a reason why you see her wearing Fabio's jacket much of the time. I can't imagine living in horrible conditions and only having a bikini or light dress to keep you warm. They designed some truly awful, dangerous challenges. That one was one of the worst. Barely-trimmed tree limbs and tying people together running through them is just a recipe for disaster, as is tying Chet and Joel together. The blindfold challenges where they're carrying huge objects and running into each other are hard to watch. The water mill challenge from Redemption Island, where 3 people are on a wheel being dunked into water with no control themselves over it, was another "genius" idea that easily could have drowned somebody. Even with medical staff waiting in the wings, it's a bad idea. Kaoh Rong saw 3 people suffer from extreme heat exhaustion in a single challenge and one of them very nearly died. Chet had absolutely no business being on Survivor. I could argue the same for players like Courtney Yates, but she managed to win an immunity challenge and was able to tough it out. Yates was a waitress cast by a producer who liked Yates' personality and was told she would be voted out early and get a nice vacation. It's just another example of terrible casting decisions and casting those who can't handle the environments and half-baked challenges the producers thought up. Chet's not the one at fault for his being cast and only partially at fault for quitting. That's all on the geniuses behind the scenes who set him up for failure. I'm not a fan of Chet by any means, but don't blame the guy who was horribly miscast; blame the ones who cast him. Survivor was not built for and should not be attempted by just anyone. The reason the challenges now are so repetitive and more focused on balancing is because Survivor would rather have the best rats win the game rather than the best survivors. They want explosive personalities, not people who are actually equipped to deal with harsh environments. It's also partly why Fiji is the only place they film anymore.
@@encycl07pedia- theres certain people that quit/asked to get voted out that are justified Purple Kelly obviously, Osten on pearl island (even tho that was more his fault for selling his clothes for nothing) and even FairPlay getting asked to get votes out 1st (if you didnt know he took a hard drop on his back/head at an awards show 2 weeks before filming and was suffering without pain relievers) as well as other good reasons to quit like Jenna, Susan, Kathy, Dana, and Bi. But people like Janu, Chet, Naonka, Colton, Lindsey, Julie. Each quit for horrible reasons. You talk about the heat exhaustion challenge but at the end of the day none of those players quit in what you even say was worse conditions then the cat and mouse challenge, (yeah he got evacuated but if you ask him he would have stayed if he could have) And lastly how i know you’re not a true fan, dont talk shit about Courtney Yates, shes peak survivor casting, yeah shes weak physically but thats just a small part of survivor even back in the survivor teens. You need to watch more survivor my friend is what I concluded
Joel was a bully but to be fair Chet contributed very little and often came across as though he wasn't even trying. He was doing the backstroke. They really should have taken him out early
@@ajl9772i agree like i can see both sides like obviously joel is frustrated with chet and thats fair but he was a real jerk to him but hey chet made it further anyway
Coach, the student of zen, getting pissed and flipping off Jeff is hilarious. If it was anyone else it would just be forgetable, but Coach's insane celebration and then him losing his zen mindset is just a funny take for this character.
The editors don't usually add such a cheesy, obviously fake sound effect. The fact that his name is Will and they gave him a Wilhelm has got to be a geeky editing inside joke.
Michelle: has the least physical role and is the only one not blindfolded Also Michelle: takes the biggest fall in that challenge Most relatable thing lol.
All the people on Joel’s side in the comments... yikes yes Chet wasn’t very good but that doesn’t make it okay to treat someone the way Joel treated him!
Yes Joel was mean but Chet was absolutely useless. How did he get cast? Those are the types of people who I hate getting cast because there are other people who will actually try in challenges and Chet was just wasted space
