Gabby is the type of personality that suffers from extreme doubt, and that type of person often makes big mistakes like this when they feel a tiny bit of empowerment; they go too far too fast and abandon the best long-term plan because they think "FINALLY! I got this!" You don't fix a quarter century of doubt in one night.

I agree, I think she should have waited till the final 6.

I don't think it's clear, especially since Christian is such a big immunity threat. you really also have to ask - how does Gabby win? she needs something on her resumé. I think her best shot for sure was to go to the end with Angelina and, I guess Mike (since Carl was gone).

She didn't anticipate Christian knowing anything about it. And she appeared to look at him at some point with a worried look on her face. It did appear to be unusual to help someone in a challenge, when she knows that Christian has an immunity idol.

Wil lms mean particular about making her own decisions moving forward. Not too sure how much of tribal council is edited for the audience, but it seemed to signal that a move was coming. If she had said something about staying loyal to people she’s been aligned with, I don’t think Christan would have had such deep suspicions.

Biadro Mac Christian was clearly 5th in Carl’s alliance. You can’t wait until after final 9 if that’s the case. If Nick wasn’t so emotional he could’ve seen that and he also could’ve waited and taken out Alison this vote since Angelina is practically a David at this point.

Ergo, having been saved 3 times already, Christian will make it past two more votes and... lose at final five, right before firemaking.

I agree. But I also believe that she was jealous of Christian. She lost her confidence in her parvati-move, once she realized christian did indeed have a life and SO outside of the game.

I think he kept his group thing to be on the in, but clearly one on one Christian knows he had his back and that he’d be safe for sure so it was actually a safe vote.

Davie is smart, he knows if Christian doesn't play the idol, then he goes home and no one is wise to Davie's move. Otherwise, if Christian plays the idol, the vote goes to Gabby or Alison. It's a win-win for him.

Good move by Davie. Looks like he was with everyone on the Christian vote but his tip off got Christian to play his idol.

Christian said in episode one it would be a platonic friendship and Gabby said in exit press she knew Christian had a girlfriend. So make of that what you will.

vaporterra I mean...duh, what do you expect them to say? 😂😂😂 Of course he’s not going to say on national tv that he had feelings for her (or vice versa) and I’m sure Gabby did know about his GF-but anyone who’s been watching the show and has an ounce of people reading skills can pick up on their strong bond/attraction for each other. Christian treated and protected her the way a man would for his *girl* , it went way beyond how you would treat an ally or friend, and even he said they hadn’t spent more than an hour apart the entire time they were on the island! They basically acted like a couple minus the physical stuff. I’m sure it’s easy to get swept up in it all and forget real life when you’re out there so I’m not judging too much but I mean...He showed more affection toward Gabby than his own GF (who he hadn’t seen in over a month!) IJS if I was his GF that just wouldn’t sit right with me.

I’m watching a reality show and analyzing/judging what I’m seeing on the show (strategy-wise and socially, although I’m more interested in the social aspect). When I said “I’m not judging him too much for that” in that context it just meant I’m not *blaming* him too much for that, being that they’re in such a strange situation....And BTW I never said he *cared* more for Gabby than his GF, I said he showed more affection toward her and it felt awkward AF between him and his GF when she came to visit. I mean... this all seems so obvious to me, can’t believe I’m having to explain it to some people on here 🙄

She has played this game emotionally since the beginning. She messed the game for the rest of the Davids last episode when she went crying to Christian. Then she sees we are not the new Amber and Rob to go happily go off and split the money.

Gabby’s exit press debunks this theory but it didn’t look great from that episode

Davie will probably bring it up in the finals, whether he makes it or not. I also had the impression that Gabby thought that Christian voted for her. I believe that Christian will have Gabby's vote if he makes it all the way.

I just rewatched the episode it was Davie the one that came with Gaby vote split but Nick was in on it which explaims why they weren't shocked who was going home at tribal because they knew it would be Gabby as a backup

zjzr08 makes me wonder if the idea of David’s and Goliath’s is done. I think if Christian stays, he wins. Christian has become the Goliath.

Yet the biggest frontrunners to win are the 3 Remaining David’s. Alison and Mike have hints of a winners edit but that’s a stretch. Kara seems like she’ll just miss the final 3 somehow and Angelina is likely a goat.

You watch 3 days worth of content in 40 minutes and suddenly you're an expert? So Christian acting like a decent human being is an issue. He had been comforting to Allison as well at some point, so you're going to say he led her on too? Please get a hold of yourself.

She had no other alliances other than Allison and Christian. And there was atleast targeting them (Angelina, Mike, Kara and Nick.) She could not have afforded to lose one alliance, let alone her closest one. If she didnt like Christian and believed he would out-shine her, she should have thought about that a lot earlier. Not at finale 8.

Christian appears to be a very calculating player. Even during the loved ones visit, he seemed to have a strategy in mind.

4 years later, they are still together. I believe they've been together for 18 years now.

@@willms7173 even during the love ones visit? like how? If he was thinking strategy, he should have brought his mom or sister, not his GF. But he probably couldnt have called them after everything was scheduled beforehand.

tim Davie is keeping Christian as a shield and he knew there was a good chance Christian would play his idol so have to cover your bases. He does have to be careful not to end up like Carolyn with Mike

@@vaporterra like i said the only point to having a shield is that shield getting voted out before you. he could have easily made a shield out of gabby, alison, and kara next. christian was so confident in gabby never betraying him he would not have played his idol. this is now the third time someone else has had to save christian, but the jury doesn't care they are still cheering for him to win. he will end up like laurel with wendell if he keeps saving christian.

Jeff says it was because he was bullied. Gabby also sounds like she maybe grew up in a privileged background/international family... so... Maybe they were selected just for personal qualities.
