I never forgot about Rachel since I saw Craig on CNN on april 21 1999. He really has grown. I watched her funeral, read her journals, parts of Rachel's Tears, wrote to Beth and Darrel, made a tribute..and still I remember her. I am twice the age I was when Columbine happened, and I live only miles away from Newtown, and it never get's easier. I pray for all victims families, and those who need mental aid.
Craig spoke at my school in 2007 and it was a moving speech. We had bullying issues at our school that I brought up after the fact and the teachers were surprised what I told them. It wasn't as bad as Columbine, but that jock culture needs to be eradicated. Each student is important, not to be ignored..
@@Meltedbutta7 - The problem is not being an athlete, the problem is treating them like gods, as if they were better than others, just because they are talented in sports.
I just hope and pray that god continues to bless and give guidance to all the families and students that was injured and traumatized as well as the first responders that had to see the scene of murder and chaos. To all the survivors you will never be forgotten and know that there are so many people who still think about all of you everyday! God be with you every step of your life! God bless!!
When he came to my school a few hours ago i noticed some ptsd signs, he kept on getting lost in thought, stuttering, and just having that lost expression, i cried during his speech and told him afterwords hes amazing and gave him a hug
I remember being a little girl staying up late on a spring night and seeing the remembrance of 13 victims of Columbine Shooting and seeing Rachel Scott I never forgot her! Invested in two books and reading her diary entries truly opened my eyes and heart for Jesus
Things like this makes one wonder why? What are the perpetrators wanting to accomplish? There seems to have been many warning signs from eric harris leading up to the tragedy. I kind of blame the parents on this for not watching warning signs and reacting. What i mean is where they was out shooting. When they wasnt home, why not search their rooms? Surely something could have signaled a problem. Also i blame the police for not going in quicker. All in all its a severe tragedy.
You need to watch Dylans mother.... she is not ti blame. How dare you.... when i child graduates high school, goes to college, gets a degree as a doctor, becomes a very loved doctor... that child is responsible for that...not the parents... that child could have the worst parents and still became an amazing doctor....but when a kid does something like columbine...its automatically the parents to blame....no! Thats not how it "always" works. Dylam showed no signs of any of this...nothing at all....and kids have acted just like Eric as a teen and ended up growing into amazing, honest loving adults with a very successful life. Its about choices!!!!
