I've never seen a raider team with sniper rifles before - that's interesting. (I basically don't bother manufacturing pistols any longer, because between the number you find in houses and other generic buildings marked with a ? for resources, and the number you'll pick up off dead raiders, I end up swamped with them. I have really mixed feelings about the walls in this game. Using the pre-existing buildings as part of your walls can be effective, as they're basically indestructible - although there can be narrow gaps and covered passageways that make life complicated. In the early game stages, where you might get 2-3 medium bands of zombies/zombie dogs, I find it easier to move teams between buildings and use teams in vehicles to kite the groups around and kill them, rather than walls. I experimented with the different wall types, and one problem I found is that when you get swarms, depending on where they're approaching from, they'll often bunch up and attack the same wall section - so even fortified walls don't hold for long. With that said, in the same way that I basically skip fields and go for greenhouses as quickly as I can research them, I tend to ignore metal/brick walls and go straight for fortified walls, gates and towers where I can, with 2-3 walls stretching out from each gate so that the infected have to either take the gate down, or take out more than one layer of walls to get into the base - and as soon as I know where the attacks are coming from, I move every team I can grab over there in vehicles to back up the fire from the towers and gates. You might find it's worth having two cookhouses - especially when you've got a barn, because the barn produces both meat and fertiliser. Fertiliser on a field or greenhouse means you go from getting 4 grain in a harvest to 9 in a harvest - I have (I think) 7 greenhouses producing grain, using the fertiliser from a 16-worker barn, and I'm running at a constant food surplus even with about another 20 civilians working across 3 cookhouses. I'm still struggling to work out what to produce and in what levels... my current game has a chemicals factory and a tools factory that are both much bigger than needed, but I always need more houses, and wood seems to be the basic resource I keep falling short on, although at least trees now regrow over time. I hope you'll play this again, I've enjoyed this series (and learned a few new things, too!)

So fucking annoying though. The radio messages are absurd annoyances too.
