I disagree with the Pat medevac. I loved how raw it was compared to any other medevac, the editing before it gave me chills, and the fact of it being the biggest, most capable person on the David tribe just solidified the whole David vs Goliath premise and how it would just be harder for them as the season continues. Also, the fact that Nick was going to be voted out that tribal and was miraculously kept in the game by Pat's tragic medevac and made it all the way to the end makes it one of the best stories of any winner.

My first season was Cagayan and it will always be my favourite even after watching previous seasons. Tony till I die

Australian Outback can't be last for me, it's just a chill season. It's boring at the end, but's it's just 3 people chilling in the woods, it's hard to say Thailand, One World and IOI are better for me. Colby is interesting, has kind of an interesting guy, but he doesn't really make other people more exciting around him.

I have yet to watch most seasons to completion, but I've seen the majority of every season (up until finale, mostly), with the only ones I have yet to watch at all being older ones (4, 5, 10, 14). My Top 5 would have to be 5. Philippines: I adore the cast, with some of my all-time favorites, in Malcolm and Abi. I loved Artis, and really wish he got more screentime, and think it was just great. 4. Pearl Islands: It was an amazing season. I can't really say anything that isn't common knowledge. 3. HvV: As was said in the video, a bit rushed, but amazing. 2. China: My first season, in which I remember watching (I got into Survivor during DvG, and went back to a lot of seasons to see what I missed.) I love the cast, and wouldn't be against any of them returning, except maybe Leslie, who I found really annoying. 1. Cagayan: My favorite player ever in Spencer. Tony, Kass, and everyone else added so much to this, to the point that ranking it lower is impossible

I have been watching survivor since season 1 final. I've had a few survivor friends and confidants over the years but until I heard you I never could find anybody that seen survivor the way I do, and quite put it into words quite the way you do it. Thank You Very Much....

I kind of don’t mind the slower paced early survivor seasons they would also emphasize more of the actual surviving part. The newer seasons they could be filmed in someone’s back yard for all I’d know

Appreciate the comprehensive rankings. however I myself much more prefer the earlier seasons with more iconic players as they focused more on the location and simple challenges as opposed to the entire show being focused on gameplay now all in one location on the newer seasons becomes kinda boring after awhile.

Survivor Australian Outback is so different from all seasons. I think people who like certain aspects of the show like it . It’s in my tops 1. Pearl Island 2. Palau 3. Australia.

I can respect different opinions but to say that Cook Islands has a "terrible cast" is not credible. Every season has much of the cast that is unmemorable and gets little airtime but the heart of the cast is Yul, Ozzie and Parvati who are 3 of the most iconic cast members in the history of the show.

Rodger Bingham getting into Survivor for Australian Outback was such a huge thing for my community.

I reatched outback and found it very entertaining for an unorthodox way. It really focuses on players’ spirits, and arguably the toughest season physically

I think the only thing I disagree is how high Koah Rong are ranked. Some episodes were good, like Liz, Debbie and Scott's boots, but I didn't like the cast all that much outside of Aubry. I think on rewatch I like this season better, but I don't understand why people love it so much.

Pearl Islands will always be my number 1 - not even for nostalgia. I started at All Stars. Didn’t even know about Pearl Islands till about 8 years ago. Watching Pearl Islands for the first time was something I won’t forget. I don’t really look at gameplay, but editing and how they paint the story and Pearl Islands trumps. I agree with you on Cagayan too.

Idk why but I personally really dislike Kaoh Rong like there was so many medical evacuations and it ended up having a bad winner.The only positives are the villains (Jason and Scott)

Thanks for the videos. The stroll down memory lane is fun. It's is hard for me to compare the seasons because location, number of castaways, rule changes, cast makeup etc.... affected my enjoyment. I would say my least favorite was Thailand because it was frustrating that early it seemed Brian was going to win and I was not a big fan. My favorite I would say is The Australian Outback because that is the season that really hooked me. Borneo was interesting and the series was new but for me the 2nd season and it's characters set the tone for what Survivor could be. The challenge with the environment/climate, physical challenges/injuries and the play to the end helped make me a fan. They have all had their moments and have brought so many interesting characters into our homes.

i took a few hours out of my day to make my own back when worlds apart was the newest season and my top 3 then was number 3 pearl islands number 2 cagayan number 1 heroes vs villains i like your taste in this top 3

It's hard to appreciate this and take it seriously when you contradict yourself time and time again. Just seeing a season like the Australian Outback being ranked last, a season where the boot list wasn't predictable, the winner wasn't the person everyone expected to win but was still deserving, the cast was extremely memorable and iconic and you had countless memorable events throughout; Beef jerky, finger pointing fight, pig kill, fire fall/evacuation, the flood and the downfall and blindside of the villain of the season. Even the special father/daughter like relationship between an older man and younger female who everyone was rooting for was fun to watch. I do believe you are someone who is very anti Elisabeth Hasselbeck to place this season last and then have All-Stars ranked a good ten spots higher and make it a point to say "the calibre of the cast is outstanding and there was no one that was missing that was 100% necessary" when it's well known Elisabeth was someone they tried to get on this season. You contradict yourself by saying "this season has the who's who of the first 7 seasons" and include Tina, Colby and Jerry in the list of names you share but when you speak about their first season you "disagree that the characters are iconic and memorable and find them boring" to be a further dig at your dislike for Elisabeth. You even slam Caramoan which is ranked higher than the Outback and say "the premerge is easily the worst stretch of episodes in the history of the series, has a bad and mediocre cast, fans are pretty forgettable and half the favourites weren't people you care to see again, a terrible premerge, boring finale, at times uncomfortable to watch, predictable winner" why you would have this ranked higher than the outback? I hated being subjected to Phillip's specialist bullcrap and giving players titles in one season of Survivor, let alone two or on a re-watch. You further make me believe this when you speak about Gabon when you have that ranked even higher and say the cast wasn't memorable at all yet have it ranked around the halfway point. Having Thailand one spot higher when it had a predictable boot order and winner, not-so memorable cast and only a handful of memorable events one place higher all because Clay has some funny one -liners. How many 2? The Outback had Roger's comment when voting Jerri out "Most days she wakes up in a good mood but heaven help us when she wakes up in a bad mood" one of the funniest one liners in the shows history. Even Colby saying "he may be be a lot of things but he ain't no Hershey bar" funnier and more memorable than anything Clay ever said, and that's coming from me someone who was rooting for Clay to win and believe Clay should have won his season over an over-rated Brian. You also make a point of saying the boot order in the Outback from the final 8 to final 4 (when Elisabeth was voted out) "is the most boring stretch of Survivor in the history of the show" (what about the Caramoan premerge?) and it's fair to say Elisabeth's screen time increased. These episodes where we see villain Jerri rub everyone the wrong way for them to blindside her and vote her out, wonder if Amber will flip for being excluded in the Jerri vote, Amber booted before Roger & Elisabeth, The first ever Survivor Auction which gave them all the runs and the great flood and efforts to get the can of rice in a swollen and dangerous raging river after Jeff made a deal with them for more food. Even Keith's proposal to his wife was in this so called boring stretch like you say. I am not sure what standouts for you in Thailand for the same boots for it to be one place higher?). Not only do you say "the boot order from final 8 to 4 is the most boring stretch in the history of the show" you also say "the season goes downhill after the Jerri boot and picks up again at the final 3" and also say "the back half of the season is extremely boring". It's clear you are not an Elisabeth fan and that is why you rank this season last as all your negatives are directed at her.

I’m kinda shocked Cagayan is at the top. I didn’t start watching survivor until quarantine and Cagayan was the first one I watched. Obviously it’s got great characters like Spencer, Tony, Woo, Kass, Sarah, and Jefra and great moments like Tony speaking llama, the spy shack, and the final four challenge, but I did not expect it to be that high

YAY!!!! Survivor “Pearl Islands” is the 2nd season I watched (on DVD) after watching “Australian Outback” (also on DVD). By the end of Episode 1 of “Pearl Islands” and the never-again-repeated mad dash through the Panamanian village, I knew I was going to become a Survivor fanatic. I means a lot to me that so many Survivor RU-vidrs have season 7 in their top 10. Lastly if you become a Patron over at Fairplay’s channel, he has commentary for every episode with guests like: Savage, Burton & Sandra. It’s friggin awesome. ARRRR! 💀 ⚔️

Yeah I'm just not as big on David vs Goliath as most people I guess. I see a lot of people putting their top 5. I'd put it maybe top 15. Do agree though Heroes vs Villains and Cagayan are my 2 favourites

I agree with your assessment of San Juan Del Sur. Some of the cast sucked (the Christie brothers???) but it was good tv!

when I first watched cook islands, and did my ranking of the seasons (it was out of the first 18 seasons at the time), I had it at three and then was like, "wait what am I doing?" and then just put it at number 1. Then I decided to rewatch it after cagayan because, that was a lot. and all the rewatch did was confirm my love for it. I was crying when Yul revealed his idol to becky. the early origins of the aitu 4. They're my favorite alliance to have come from this game (I mean this with all my heart, screw romber) and this season is just so comforting to watch!

I actually really like the older seasons because its a nice break from watching advantage filled seasons. I really wish they went back to that, or at least slowed down.

I can't believe you ranked Cook Islands so low! I've seen it 3 times and it might even be my favorite season, but definitely top 5 at least.

Personally, I enjoy the slower pace of the earlier seasons. Maybe this is coming from the perspective of someone who has watched the show from Day 1. I find that the first 7 seasons focuses on the motif “here is the story of 16 people marooned in a remote location, figuring out how to survive with each other, while also playing this elimination game.” Later seasons (in particular, seasons 20-26) focused all on the game or returning personalities, discarded the new people as secondary, and the show suffered as a result. Recently, the show has managed to find a great balance between telling the story of the people while also focusing on a fast-paced game.

It's very interesting to listen and read other's opinions on survivor seasons. My list: 38. Edge of Extinction- Rick Devens saved the season and he was supposed to be voted out like 16th. Chris the winner of the season played 12 days in actual game. I'm sorry that is so flawed. 37. Redemption Island- love Boston Rob but the worse cast ever assembled. 36. Nicaragua- meh. I like Fabio and all and Marty was cool but having 2 people quit in a majority alliance in the post merge ruined the entire season. 35. One World- Kim is one of the best players to ever come on the show but this cast was put together that anyone with common sense and game instinct would dominate and Kim was the one. 34. South Pacific- Ozzy and Coach deserved being brought back. Ozzy flexed his athleticism for the upteenth time and coach had the whole Koombah ya my lord going. Sophie although some like, I hate, she did nothing but admit to being a bitch on the island no one liked but was less hated than coach and albert therefore she won. 33. Fiji- Earl and Yau-Man were heavy highlights of the season. Dreams and Cassandra and Rocky and basically all the others were complete duds, awful television. 32. Thailand- Brian is the cruelest winner ever but again (broken record) there's a reason not a single person from this season was ever brought back for another season. 31. Marquesas- I've watched every single season of survivor at least 2-3 times minimum except this one. This one was dreadful from start to finish for me. Kathy was the only saving grace. Vecepia really did nothing except eliminate Kathy and kudos to her for that but still. 30. Gabon- amazing personalities awful gameplay. I hate Sugar, she was the mascot for the season to liking this season was almost impossible to begin with. Did enjoy Randy, Matty, Kenny, and Corinne. 29. Borneo- First season, so understanding that gameplay has shifted so much from getting to know other players as people compared to obstacles in the path of a million dollars is truly the only reason its this high or low whichever you want to read it as. Hatch played 15 years ahead of his time. 28. Vanuatu- Chris should have been the first boot and then reammerged from the ashes as the winner while BS'ing through the finale tribal was awesome. hated Scout. The men minus chris were useless characters. 27. Palau- the definitive pagonging of all time. The right person did win though so that saved the season from a worse ranking. 26. Africa- love ethan, lex, and big tom. Love the location. It could have been one of the best final 3 pairings of all time (lex, ethan, big tom) but Kim pulled that rug out. 25. San Juan Del Sur- So one of two people came into this game with game common sense and won. Meh, no really impressed. Thankfully Natalie did win eitherwise this would probably be a bottom 5 season. 24. World's Apart- being a competitive person I appreciate Mike's heart to keep winning and believing and he ended up pulling it out. Hated both characters in Shirin and Will, both contributed nothing positive to my television set. 23. Guatemala- loved Judd and Rafe. Danni under the radar winner and never really communicated strategy even to us the audience. 22. Game Changers- man this could have been such a good season if JT, Tony, Sandra, and Malcolm hit the merge. Instead we got a heavy brad culpepper season and it wasn't that he ruined the season it was just to predictable he would make final 3 and lose to Sarah, called it before merge even came. 21. Kaoh Rong- I didn't even like Aubry the first time watching her play. But she got straight robbed. Tai, is one of the survivor community favorites and he is one of my personal least favorite players of all time. He plays the worst strategic games imaginable. Anyone can blow sweet nothings into his ear and poof he has changed his mind again. 20. All Stars- can't put this season any higher . This wasn't truly an allstar season. Jenna wasn't an allstar, jerri wasn't an allstar, amber for damn sure wasn't an allstar, you can argue Boston Rob wasn't an allstar. This was more of a redemption season for 90% of the cast. The most bitter jury to ever grace a final tribal council. For god sake's Amber won the season. 19. Heroes Healers Hustlers- loved Devin, Joe, Mike. Ben was overbearing, Chrissy probably should have won the season, Ryan's one liners were great. Ben vs the entire vote tribal council was amazing. 18. Caramoan- King Cochran's throne. Fans vs Favorites 2 but in reality it was omg they brought back Malcolm and..... oh Andrea and Brenda..... but let's see what eric can do now that he's matured..... but wait they brought back a first boot and Phillip. Well surely these fans couldn't be worse than the first one's..... oh there's Reynold..... who has never been brought back....eddie who was clueless.... Sherri who took up soooo much screen time for no reason. Yeah, cake walk for Cochran. 17. Ghost Island- thankfully had two equal kingpins the entire season and they created the first final tribal vote tie. Unfortunately, the rest of the cast was meh. 16. David vs Goliath- don't see what others are seeing by putting this season in top 10's or 5's. Could easily tell it was Nick winning or show being canceled, cool advantages moves but nothing astronomical. 15. Samoa- greatest strategist, worst juror management in history. Russell was robbed here, nobody can ever convince me otherwise. It was so simple, keep Shambo and mick and it was a guaranteed win but brought the one social player and he got burned. Stupidity allowed a group of 4 to beat a group of 8. 14. Australian Outback- the scenery, Colby, the infamous fire occurrence and the evolution of strategy from just having one season prior keep this season away from the low tiers for me. 13. Pearl Islands- loved Rupert (here and only here), Fairplay even 32 seasons later still a top 5 Villian. The Outcast twist usually kills this season from absolute top tier season rankings and for me its the fact that Lil was so useless the entire season she made Sandra the winner. Sandra and Lil still to this day arguably the worse final council pairing. 12. Blood vs Water- Tyson gets his redemption. We get introduced to Cierra who become a posterchild for survivor. Gervase comes back from season 1. Aras returns (dud, but still returns). Good strategy, rare rock draw, good winner. 11. Exile Island- I mean come on, greatest tribe ever created television wise. Terry and the super idol, Aras trying to keep his misfits together, introduced to Cerie. Shane and the blackberry wood. 10. Tocantins- Good cast (Jt, tyson, coach, stephen) great strategy by stephen, amazing social and athleticism by Jt. Still to this day over 20 seasons later haven't heard a contestant rep for another player to win while still in the game. Jt played arguably the first complete game from start to finish. 9. Cook Islands- putting this season in the 30's is madness. Yul, Ozzy, Penner, Candice, Parvati all on one season. That's 25% of the cast overall that turn to be legends on the show (Candice big stretch but still). The super idol does murk the waters a little because Yul was never in danger of being voted out and could use it for leverage against anyone. Nobody could beat Ozzy in a challenge so that also puts a small dot on the competitiveness overall. 8. Millenials vs Gen X- great season. Loved the cast. The winner was hidden until the merge which was a nice edit choice. The winner wasn't in control the entire season which makes it gratifying to watch. Every person the hit the merge got a chance in the spotlight. David Jay Adam Brett and Zeke were all great first timers. 7. Amazon- this season is timeless. Rob Cesternino was 10 years ahead of his time. This season was nowhere near perfect but it had some great gameplay. The winner and runner-up was meh but still. 6. China- just outside top 5. Amazing strategy gameplay. Amazing characters in todd, amanda, courtney, and james. The setting was really cool, the right winner won, the whole package. This season is now considered old survivor but once again a timeless great season. 5. Philippines- this season saved survivor. I mean you had nicaragua, redemption island, south pacific, one world, then this saving grace. We are introduced to another legend of survivor Malcolm. Malcolm and Denise are on one of the worst tribes in history and then both mitigate themselves into their new tribes and get 1st and 4th overall. Denise went to every single tribal in the season. 4. Second Chance- great concept, voters actually had a say in who got picked which is why this was a very good cast and season. Jeremy played the perfect middle ground game and won when he needed to. Very little negatives i can come with to put this season any lower than four. 3. Micronesia- Fans were put in up against the ropes to begin with. Unfortunately there was 3 quitters (2 official) but we witnessed the genius of Cerie, the cunning of Amanda and Parvati and the greatest female alliance in the black widow alliance. Cerie should have won this season but Parvati deserved it as well. It's rare to find two legit winners in one season. 2. Heroes vs Villians- simple, the perfect cast. Awesome rivalries, amazing idol plays, awesome concept, undeserving winner. In my opinion a perfect season minus winner. 1. Cagayan- THE PERFECT SEASON. CAST-perfect WINNER-perfect GAMEPLAY-amazing.

I am not written about ranking here, but my favourite season is Survivor Cook Islands because the character and physically to win the challenge as group and individual! It’s fun season to watch! I do recommend it! Anyone recommend me which seasons I should watch after Survivor Cook Islands? Looking forward to get answers from you guys...
