When Nemesis first came out I laughed hard at the running animation. Last night I played through the entirety of RE3 Remake and I can safely tell you that DbD copy-pasted the animations. It looks IDENTICAL. So long story short I like playing agains Nemesis more now.
@@epicfish8134 Honestly I felt like he should've got a secondary sprint power where he bulldozes through objects and survivors running that speed, but walks threateningly normally.
@@justmonika2345 I was thinking to compliment his perk lethal pursuer he'd run super fast until he gets his first hit. (Maybe make it so you can only whip, if that's too bad, which j dont think it is. If that's too bad, then they can just make it so that whenever you get within 12 meters of a survivor or something you go back to normal speed. Basically just a sprint burst at the start of the match that only nemesis would have to incentivise him using his power. (I'd love if Lethal pursuer gave every killer a speed boost for 9 seconds though)
@@justmonika2345 he has a walking animation, although unless you're going against players who know how to slow walk you'll never see it a majority of the time
For some reason when I get chased by Nemesis there's some sort of thrill, because his loud steps coming closer to me just trigger something that makes it one of the most fun chases I'm having in DBD and I wish some more people would pick him up more often and learn his power to the fullest.
Sometimes the most fun killers to face are the ones that really emphasize how dangerous they are with certain quirks, for instance; Oni: Loud map wide cues and roars when he gets and uses his power plus the sound design and red streaks in his blood fury Demogorgon: Same as Oni, with just a few differences and fun power to play against Nemesis: Large, meaty footsteps, sheer physical build compared to any other dbd kiler, and overall threat he poses just through his sound design when doing anything
@@MamaBearKS I absolutely agree on Oni. His loud angry yells and the way he charges at you while being somewhat agile on it unlike Hillbilly is super fun and thrilling to play against. On Demo I somewhat disagree, because the only thing he's offering during a chase is hissing, I guess. But that's subjective, not saying you're wrong. Overall I would say that Nemesis, Oni and a GOOD jump scare Michael/Ghost Face are my favorite to go against, as they give me something additional to the chases and the game overall. Also the reason why I only play Ghost Face and Oni myself, to hopefully give the same feeling to other people.
I think its the heartbeat coming from his chest engine thing that makes his chases so scary. Cause you have the loud THUD THUD behind you but then you hear a 2nd heartbeat all of the sudden and you're smacked

@@impishlyit9780 I know this is probably in the context of dbd but it’s like this a lot of other places too. No matter how calm you are or at least try to be that’s the response you’re most likely going to receive. To some degree I understand but everyone has personal opinions, and if you can state it and leave it at that in a non toxic manner, it shouldn’t be an issue.
The idea behind Nemesis is really good, and his ability to zone survivors like Huntress is super strong. If you don't get an early tentacle and have to rely on hitting Zombies to mutate, the game is not going to go well. The zombies are so inconsistent. They either cause survivors to misplay or do a lil dance in between a bush. His ability to tear through pallets and health states is terrifying though.
I think Nemesis is RNG reliant. If his zombies is consistent I would say he's really strong otherwise he is awful. Gives away 8 free hits in a match is awful when the game is already notorious for early game being nonexistent.
Nemesis is probably one of the best killer for every inside maps there is because the zombies can ambush survivors easily and are way more consistent but requires to be played better for open maps and zombie RNG on these maps sucks, I saw plenty just walking into a wall or rock, etc. If you want to have a good time, get the iri and other addon that increase zombie speed, put RPD as a map offering, you are in for a great time as a killer I am telling you friend.
Honestly why I usually bring a mutation addon for zombies, becuz there *are* gonna be times where you don't have a survivor in range to infect and find a zombie first.
A good play is to kill stuck zombies and roll for a better spawn. It gets you charge while rerolling. That being said I love how he has zombies as pressure but you cant rely on them like turrets, if you do you're a bad nem

@@Sword_Man_YT I've played a LOT of Nemesis, and they're very consistent on most maps, especially Lery's. The main map I find them to be useless on is Badham, which already has some glaring issues for killers as it is.
Survivor complains about repetivity vs Nemesis yet literally everyone in that lobby was running D strike with a combination of dead hard, Unbreakable or borrowed time. Talk about IRONIC
Mostly because sweats will run meta perks because they have to in order to win. And honestly they do feel like requirements at high MMR. It's annoying to deal with, but manageable.
I played 6 games the other day with a couple of friends and we were running no BT, no DS, no unbreakable. We had dead-hard because it’s the most useful exhaustion perk. Some context: we all have jobs, we play survivor because it means we can all play a game together and we have all played killer and survivor at Rank 1. We each probably run ‘Any Means Necessary’ more than we do DS or Unbreakable. 5/6 of those games the killer either camped from first hook or tunnelled the first survivor they hooked out of the game whilst completely ignoring other players who were trying to take hits. This is what causes people to play with ‘second chance’ perks. “Just do gens” is the dumbest thing people say in response to this because there is literally not enough time and that even assumes that from the first hook, every team mate decides to be completely non altruistic which is never the case. The whole ‘toxic perk’ idea is also pointless because both sides have only 10 - 15 perks which are actually worth using. At least 60% of them are objectively bad in comparison. Because I play a fair amount of both sides, I refuse to use keys and map offerings in the same way that I refuse to camp hooks from the start and tunnel people out of the game. It just ruins any sort of fun for the other people playing the game. I’m thankful that Behaviour are aware of the tunnel/camp meta and are taking steps to punish it in a future update but as for now, when the killer chooses to abuse a widely regarded toxic tactic, my friends and I will just afk until the game finishes. ZERO high-level players or content creators condone this behaviour, even the most controversial killer-bias streamers.
@@sm0akable 5/6? Damn that's rough. And that's why they feel like requirements. We shouldn't HAVE to run meta perks in order to not get tunneled or slugged, but thats just the meta.

Yeah he negates all the window/vault mind games. But he’s still just a demogorgon/plague hybrid. Get distance where possible and you’re golden.
that's exactly the frustrating part, usually mindgaming at windows and pallets is the exciting part, but it's not a lot of fun to just hold w and get distance, hoping theres enough shit in the way. but i think pyramid head and deathslinger are much worse in this regard
"Yeah he negates all the window/vault mind games" ... Still thinks is fun to go against lol Just get distance is the most boring way to play agianst killers, Bubba otherwise is quite fun to play agianst cause he has so much counterplay and you have to know what the bubba'll do
@@scooptywoop744 I totally agree. I actually had a vendetta against pyramid head because there was no penalty for whiffing his power. He negates walls and recovers extremely quickly. Or at least he used to. It drove me mental how it cost him nothing to use his power through pallets. I still have a score to settle against pyramid head to this day but ultimately he’s not broken. It was so unfun to fight him regardless. But he’s actually a fun match compared to Freddy/hag. People who play those killers hate fun, or at least play like they do.
I think a big thing is, bad pallet camping survivors have always hated Nemesis, because you can't pallet camp him. And since pallet camping and shift W are the main playstyles the MMR system supports, you're seeing the type more...
That's normal, survivors will always find a random mid-tier killer to bitch about. My guess is that now that Old Town Road aka DeathSlinger got nerfed, they've turned their sights on Nemesis.
@@remern2267 That's literally a lie since he is one of the killer where you have to watch your back to dodge his skill unlike a lot of other killers. Also, fun fact : when survivors say the "chasing game" is"fun" what they really mean is that it's very easy to dodge and loop a killer. That's their definition of "fun". The second that doesn't happen the killer is "boring" or "op". This just shows how little they understand how the game is supposed to work and the fact that "chase" is literally just a allocated time the killer spend before getting a hook and continuing to pressure the rest of the time to do 11 other hooks, in this people mind they should be able to get chase for the whole match because they thin getting caught should only happen when you missplay.

I immediately saw this when I first started playing around when Oni came out. Out of all the perks that are in this game, people just use the same crap. I dont know why players are complaining about it now, it's always been a thing called "Meta." Same thing in other games. Even though there are 6-8 different weapon classes, each with many differing types of weapons, in the recent CODS, people just use SMGs and ARs. You could say "They dont have the skill to use the weaker stuff or etc." Bruh. How about I just go play an actually good game? I've been having a blast on DS2 recently. Can't wait to move on to DS3.

It's more down to the average player of nemesis for me Most I've ran into tunnel and camp like crazy However nemesis can be fun to play against if they don't tunnel and camp like crazy
I think he's perfect in his current state, if you're mindful of his power you can play around it simply by not being completely braindead when you approach a pallet or window; As his kit counters the usual looping meta tactics and he will hit you every time you decide to start being basic. I love the zombies, having a presence outside the killer itself is powerful, but making them stupid and slow/stunable makes it balanced to me
Whaaaat? Survivors are being salty over a random shit (a shit that can EASILY be counterplayed if you are good enough) for no reasons and are now trying to push the killer to NOT use it? IMAGINE MY SHOCK! Nemesis is barely okay and it's only thanks to the zombie crutch that he isn't completely terrible.
the way the zombies are is like playing russian roulette with 4 bullets, in a majority of area's they don't do anything worth while except feed you information and half the time they might just lead you to a generator with no one next to it and or they get stuck on the far side of the map, you can do well without the zombies against anyone but when they do work they help in a large way but not in a way i'm going to bet on all the time

Survivors don't like: Spirit, Nurse, Deathslinger Hag, Wraith, Legion Trickster, Nemesis There's probably more, but basically of the 24 killers, survivors don't seem to like going against 1/3 of them.
3:43 can confirm, after several hours of playing him I've begun to do stuff like whipping right as I turn corners to snag survivors just before they can turn the other corner, landing hits I would otherwise never get using it conventionally at longer and higher wall tiles. It's pretty difficult, but it's also very nasty becuz there's very little the survivor can do in that position.
Legion is just healing simulator, he needs a rework entirely or a new power! He is the only killer in the game that makes me want to rip my fucking eyes out 😌
I haven't played very much for like a year or so, but from my experience seeing them, they look like they're incredibly annoying, rather than fun. Doing a gen, then have a zombie come near you, you walk off the gen, the zombie starts leaving, get back on the gen and immediately have to get back off of it when it's almost finished just seems like such a major pain in the ass.
Personally I wasn't too big on Nemesis purely because he goes against all other palette shredding killers in that he prioritizes hitting the survivor over shredding the palette. It took a lot of getting used to. Otherwise? He's fine.
First hit was a nice hit, good execution. Still needs to hit Yui two more times though. Yui wastes sprint burst going to an unfavorable loop instead of leaving main building? THEN she drops pallet for zero reason in front of Nemesis getting M2'd AGAIN! THEN SHE DOESN'T EVEN TRY TO USE THE SPRINT BURST TO GET AWAY FROM THE POSITION SHE PUT HERSELF IN. Yeah totally a Nemesis issue lmao /s
Survs hate Nemesis because Nemesis mains are getting a reputation of being tunnelers and facecampers(speaking from experience), they are some of the most frequent killers now and almost all their mains are toxic
100% this. If they can't hit their tentacle, it's 100% your fault for being a toxic survivor. If you even stun some Nemesis mains, they just tunnel you cuz they feel they can't be stunned
Even with the moving hit box whip, being able to break destructible with it, and basically make running impossible, it’s the RNG zombies that are really frustrating.
I do agree, but they are equally as annoying for Nemesis himself. There's nothing more infuriating than being forced to run like officer Earl to the bumfuck corner of the map just to fix the zombie and get 1/6 of your total mutation rate 😤

I absolutely hate going against nemesis. If you have a survivor feed him tiers early, you're fucked, if he's ever camping early game you can't rescue without getting hit, his zombies make many loops almost unplayable around, you can't predrop pallets if he's in anything but tier 1 cuz he just destroys it and probably still hits you as well.

It depends on who's playing. When it's a baby killer no one complains and people make fun of them but when it's a skilled killer then noob survivors want to cry about it. You can't ever please everyone.
I play both sides, but more survivor than killer, and I fucking hate going against nemesis, feels like on release pyramid head where if ur going for a pallet you either throw it and he hits you with the whip or you fake it he cancels whip and just m1’s you, same with windows too it’s super frustrating to play against
I have fun playing against Nemesis. I like the added challenge and slowdown of gens that the zombies cause. It's fun to have to lure the zombie away so my teammate can keep on the gen. In the same vein that I actually enjoy RPD map, I just enjoy having some added challenge and difficulty. I think there's room or easy, medium, and difficult maps and killers! 💜
I dont understand if you're really supposed to be able to drag the whip like that, is it intended? I dont think its overpowered but from the survivors perspective it looks like bs when you get hit by a whip that clearly missed based on the line you see on the ground.
I’m going to be real, I never liked nemesis much, even upon his release. I don’t find it fun to go against him, but I’m also really terrible at countering him
i personally also hate to go up against nemesis, like you get 2 loops and that's it and even if you drop the pallet you are never safe especially those annoying zombies just not letting you do crap, i touch a gen? 2 zombies spawn behind me, i go for a flashlight save? a zombie downs me, i try to heal my teammates? nah bro how about you run away or get infected/hit
