Every once in a while, when I want to feel good, I watch Susan Boyle's audition. It never fails to bring me to tears. I still get chills and I've watched it countless times.

Simon has actually said Susan's audition changed his life. He saw how he treated her and hated himself in that moment, and wanted to change. And he did. He became her manager, and he was never that cynical after that.

This woman is such an inspiration, everyone thought she was going to be horrible but she was proved them wrong and everybody gave her a standing ovation.

After all these years I still come back to see this now again to cheer myself up and remind myself that in life you should never ever judge a book by its cover

I don't know why people assumed she had a bad voice just because of her looks. She has a pretty speaking voice - usually one sign of a good singer.

2020 and still watch this. There's just something so magical about this performance. Despite the audience's reaction to her before she is given the opportunity, she sings on this stage like she owns it. What an inspiration.

The fact that Simon smiled like he was a school girl in love proves how amazing this was.

Her audition never fails to make me bawl like a baby. The sheer joy and pleasure on Simon's face while he listens to her. And like Amanda said, we're all so cynical and judgemental, and watching her and people's reactions to her both before and after she sings, is so, so eye opening. And it makes me so honestly and deeply happy to see someone who's probably been judged and looked down on or even just ignore her whole life receive the praise and recognition she deserves.

I just keep on coming back here each time i feel down and the world is unfair. Watching this video with all the people not having any faith in her before she even starts and then see her totally blow their minds makes the hair on my arms stand up every time. Good things can happen, Susan Boyle is a living proof of that.

I love the grin she gets right before she starts singing. She looks like she knows she's going to rock it. She is just so happy to be on stage.

I watched this so many times and every time it makes me smile. It's just so awesome how she wins the judgmental assholes over.

Those few minutes showed the world the most beautiful, gracious and elegant woman of the whole wide world.... she is like a mother to everyone.

I can't believe Simon asks her "You are a little tiger, aren't you?" just after she sang "but the tigers come at night..." with so much emotions...

After so many years, this audition still makes me cry. She knew what this song meant and she sang it to make star dust fall all around us. This is what music is all about. Susan, you have brought magic to our world.

Got to admit this is the only time I ever cried at watching the X factor...she is an angel and should be appreciated for the beautiful music she sings... god bless you Susan...you are a gift.xxx

My favourite audition! I see this everyday, at least once. It is such a delight to watch her. She has struggled all her life, diagnosed with Aspergers, unemployed till 47, but she still fought, fought all her way, and proved what a true fighter is :) A true inspiration!

I’ve watched it countless times and here I am today still watching her like the first time she auditioned in xfactor because that “wake up call” moment for those people and the judges who are against her is so satisfying to watch right after she opened her mouth to sing!☺️😄

I cried the first time I heard her ~~ no one expected to hear such an incredible voice, such range & perfect pitch. Saw her in concert last night at Wagner-Noel here in Midland/Odessa area & was totally mesmerized by her. She also has a great sense of humor & had some funny stories to tell. She is quite an entertainer. I feel blessed to have been able to hear her on her first tour of the US. May God continue to bless her. She deserves the best! I will buy all her albums.

I saw this show. Susan pulled at my heart whilst she was chatting to Ant and Dec. Her cheeky walk onto the stage made me smile and I rooted for her. I could never of imagined that pitch perfect and purest of tones which came from her soul though, she blew me away. I'm not one who reruns videos but, I just couldn't hear her enough. She's spellbinding and deserves all good things which are sent her way. Bless you Susan because you have blessed the world.

This is what music is all about . I believe the industry has become obsessed with how much Bling, or the best body to pump and grind on stage. This is what music is supposed to be- full of life , passion and talent. Susan Boyle is an inspiration to all of us out there with real talent, keep living your dream !

This video brought me to tears when I first watched it. And after numerous viewings, it still does. Only now my eyes well up before Ms. Boyle even starts to sing. I feel both joy and shame, joy at the wondrously pure sound of her beautiful voice, and shame for having shared the cruel cynicism of the audience when she first spoke of her dreams.

I love this and it one of the few times the show has actually uncovered truly new talent. The judge's faces acknowledge this as Susan begins to sing. Wonderful and uplifting. I am delighted that Susan has made a career following this performance. We all need a bit of a lift in life sometimes and this does it for me.
