Susan saying that when people meet from a broken place and one of them is healing, it's hard for them to stay together. Toby was healing and thriving, and Kate was still dealing with a lot of baggage and not healing at the same pace as Toby.
I cried so so much - and lived in their personal journeys . This is more than just a show. Many thanks to the cast and crew - storytelling is important, representation is important! And love, true- real love is important!
Love these humans SO much 😂♥️ the cast chemistry is still there - that and the writing/acting is why this show will always be treasured. Beth will always be my fav character and love love loveeeee r&b!❤
I will NEVER forgive Katy for how she did Toby, IDC! 😤😭 lol! He bent over backwards for her so many times, dealt with her unique family dynamic, her trauma, her triggers, & she had the nerve to divorce him?! Oh let’s not forget her making him feel guilty because he had trouble processing his son being blind! I’m pissed lmbo!
As SKB mentioned Lucious and Cookie, I just had a thought…it would be cool to see black tv couples on a podcast together. Ghost n Tasha, Martin n Gina, RnB, etc. I’d love to hear them talk about their tv coupledom from their perspective…..
I agree that Kate played a big part. Toby’s criticism of Kate’s parenting and resistance to accommodating Jack Jr’s disability was really rough though.
So what about the time when Toby hid the fact about going to Gym, literally having an emotional affair with someone when his wife was adapting with a disabled kid. Then goes off to work in San Francisco when he did have a job waiting for him in LA and almost getting a literal house booked and forcing Kate to leave her comfort zone for his dreams. Yes I agree Kate was a lot but Toby was not a saint either..
