The Galician bagpipes' sound is beautiful, more often than not sad and mournful yet very jolly at the same time and they make you want to dance as well. Long live Galician folklore!
Even though this music is not native to my country i just love it. Always been a fan of the pipes to the great disgust of some savages that i had (still have) to live with, and i never tire of listening to a skilled piper making good music. When it comes to solo pipers she is at the top of my list of good music to listen to.

Guapísimo. Lo que son las cosas, la primera vez que oí estos pasodobles fué hace unos días que me encontré la versión de Andrea Joglar en la Noche Mágica de 2009. Andrea le da un toque más asturianu y Susana más galego... pero buenísimas las dos.
Una música preciosa tocada por una gaitera excepcional. Y para los de dentro y los de fuera, dejadme deciros una cosa, la música de nuestra tierra y nuestra cultura NO son el flamenco las palmas y los toros. A quienes le guste esto me parece muy bien, pero estamos hasta ... ahí de que se nos identifique con eso. Las gaitas, gaitas de boto, chiflas, tambores, panderos, flautas, xeremies, dulzainas/gaitas navarras, rabeles, muiñeiras, xotas/jotas, paloteos, picadas y mucho más que queda en el tintero es lo que define NUESTRA MÚSICA. Hasta en andalucía hay instrumentos y músicas acordes (que miren la flauta rociera por ejemplo). Basta ya de reemplazo cultural, de ceguera histórica, de odio entre regiones y de ocultación de nuestra identidad. Llevamos la misma sangre, procedemos de las mismas gentes que poblaron esta tierra hace milenios y somos la tercera tierra con más carga genética Celta de toda Europa en TODAS las partes de lo que se hace llamar España.

Hola! Your english is probably better than my spanish. :) I play irish flute and whistle (check my youtube profile for some videos), and as a result of learning to play irish music - I discovered galician and breton music. Something about Galician music just calls to my heart. I love it, and I hope that I get the chance to travel to Galicia someday. :) Susana Seivane is one of my favorites though. I have all of her CD's.
