The name of this Breton andro is "St Patrick's Day," certainly an appropriately named tune to play at a concert that's part of the huge "Celtic Connections" annual pan-Celtic music festival in Scotland!

Cristiano del Mar school has much more important things to teach than any celtic presence in Poland, but for your information, there is only a small evidence that celts passed from deep 1/5 of poland, nothing special

Celtiberians? No. The Greeks and Romans named the NW people of Iberia as "Celticae gentis" or "keltikoi/Celtici".

Muy cierto. Los "españoles" prehistóricos se refugiaron en la zona de Gibraltar, durante lo peor de la última glaciación; pues toda Europa, incluida casi toda España, estaba bajo el hielo. Carlos Nunez plays recorder on that one, as far as i know he doesn't really play whistle but galician pipes and recorder. St patrick's An Dro is the name of the tune. The session has the sheet music for it.

I don't think it's a flute as they're edge blown and recorders have more holes. It looks and sounds like a low whistle, same as a penny (or tin) whistle but one octave down. I don't recognise the particular model he's playing but there are mnay custom makers around so it may be one off. Google 'wooden low whistle' and you'll find plenty of examples.

En dro means once but also go around, etc, in Breton. Like the word turn in English. It is qn allusion to the type of dance that fits this type of tune.

This is a very good low whistle, and I think it's in F. Even if it's not, you can play it with every whistle you want!
