The boys were well behaved, Guenther made up for any shyness, and Suzy , wondering what she may have gotten herself into at first to her laugh at he end was just great. Good job everyone.
Susie is a great first guest 👍🏻 She’s very well rounded. Not only is she a driver but she’s also a manager so she can relate with Guenther and she’s also a fan of F1 so she clicks right in with everyone. Glad she gave this unserious but serious podcast a chance 😂 More guests please 🙏🏻
Toto may not be my favorite TP, but Susie and Toto together are my favorite couple in motorsport. Loved hearing her say "the timing sheet never lies", just like Toto always likes to say "the stopwatch never lies"...you can see racing is really in this family's blood, and of all the people that could actually make a difference and get a woman into an F1 seat, I believe Susie is one of the very few that could make it happen.
I'm so happy you guys worked with Susie, thank you sooo much Susie for being you and giving this great opportunity to women on the sport. I hope to see a women in f1 in my life time I really really hope
Ive known of Susie Wolff for years but never listened to a long format interview before. I’m only 5minutes in and I’ve already developed got a huge girl crush! She’s wonderful. 😊
Guys you should get the chief press officer of Haas on the podcast! Get them through Guenther's connection! Would love to learn about the media side of Formula 1
I've been an F1 fan since the days when Jim Clark was winning races and championships for Lotus but I have to say I have never enjoyed the sport more than I do now, programs like this make me so happy, thanks to everybody involved.
SO thankful for Susie and her trailblazing. She is a phenomenal role model - makes me wish I were a little kid all over again and had the opportunities that Susie has opened the doors for.
She is amazing. Not just for her professionalism and obvious passion and talent in the sport, but she really was/is an incredible driver. Go back and check out her highlight reel, especially when she had jumped in for FP1.
Cracking podcast lads, really interesting to listen too and as a relatively new fan of F1 it was fantastic learning more about such an interesting person, Susie was fantastic throughout and it made for a really enjoyable pod.
How old is this pod it’s insane how fast you’ve found this much success. I haven’t watched a ton but I will be, great interview and always entertaining guys
3:22: One of the things the F1 Academy and Iron Dames initiatives is raising awareness among women, especially younger women and girls, that the racing industry, whether it be driving, engineering, mechanics or other roles offers opportunities. I am in the US and it is still common for younger women, whether it by personal choice or indoctrination from family and friends, to steer themselves towards "caring" careers in teaching, nursing and the like. I think we are well past the days of any "discrimination" in racing. It is just about making more women and young girls that this is something they should at least think about and check out.
The trajectory to getting a woman into F1 has to start so early. Like Susie said, her dad didn’t treat her interest in Motorsport any differently from her brothers. So many young girls would be discouraged by parents/society. And even if they do decide later on that they want to pursue it, they’re already at a disadvantage to their peers who’ve had years of training.
I loved this interview so much! Susie is such an incredible leader and her motorsport story is just so cool. I love how the conversation branched out to other important aspects of life - one's happiness, growth, performance and family/upbringing. Hehehe love this podcast so much guys. I look forward to it every Friday.
I still remember there was an interview where they asked toto if he can beat Suzie in a race Lewis Hamilton was sitting beside him and literally said no you can't
Sussie is an incredible woman, and I truly admire her. The F1 Academy is progressing thanks to her vision. Thank you, Sussie, for leading in a male-dominated field.
Tremendous fun. My face hurts from smiling. From the very first interview I heard with Suzi years ago I have had both a crush on her and tremendous respect for her. I also am very happy for one of my favorite people in the paddock, Toto Wolff. Suzi's smile provides such a window to her heart and her soul. I'm so thankful to be a fan while these two are on the pinnacle of the F1 landscape. I wish them nothing but health, happiness, and discernment matching forward.
Her outlook is really driving everything forward. I remember a story she told about earning a “fastest female” award at some race weekend and how she felt almost embarrassed to accept it because separating male/female in professional racing will only keep it that way.
Best podcast ever guys. Loved Susie Wolff (Stoddart) for years. Lots of lovely gems and info, especially around women's racing re. the Academy. Would've liked a bit more on that but great stuff.
Love Guenther even more after watching this. ❤ I love that he's a big supporter of F1 Academy and his man crush on Toto is cute. Susie Wolff is AWESOME! I was impressed by all her accomplishments and contributions to the sport. ❤ I laughed and smiled the whole time. Great job guys!!!
